Good for the rain but not for the summer
This jacket keeps me dry in the rain no problem. The liner is ok, but I found that wearing a soft-shell jacket like a North Face or a Mountain Hardwear underneath is against the cold, wet wind. Lots of pockets, but some of the zippers are hard to open/close with gloves on. I would wear this from 40 to 65 degrees...cold to mild. Don't wear this in the summer! Vents don't work when you're stuck in traffic in the summer. You're much better off wearing a mesh jacket when it's hot.

Comfortable all-around jacket
The Kilimanjaro 4.0 is a well-crafted versatile jacket for all but the hottest weather. It is stylish, comfortable and true to size. The fabric is thinner than expected for a motorcycle jacket (crucial areas are reinforced) and thus 'flap' at high speed; the sleeves are non-adjustable. The ventilation works well. The removable fleece liner is somewhat thin, but does a very good job in cold weather. The jacket has pockets aplenty; however a rear kangaroo pouch would have been a nice touch for the price. Overall a good buy.

Worn at 100 degrees
I live at El Salvador, Central America. I bought this jacket for long trips and especially for the waterproof feature, the weather of this country is very tropical, 70 degrees is low, and the higher is 100 or more in some areas, strong storms at the winter. This jacket is hot when I get stuck on a traffic jam entering a city still with the most of the zipper open. Is very comfortable.

Kilo 4.0 Jacket
I read that they run small, so I ordered the 3X and it fit my usually 2X great. Only had it a month, and while it is great for the morning drive (without liner) to work (about 60 F) it is hot as heck on the near 90 F drive home. But I knew that going in and I bought it for the fall and winter. I got the yellow/black to be seen. I really like it thus far.

Great jacket
This jacket has met all of my expectations. I have worn it from 90 degrees to 45 degrees without the liner. It has been comfortable to wear. Any warmer for a long distance might present problems. Any colder without the liner will definitely present problems.

RANDY BRANDON (Girdwood, AK)
Firstgear Kilimanjaro 4.0 Jacket
I had recently retired my old leather jacket, and needed a really tough, warm, and waterproof coat for Alaska riding conditions. This coat fits great, and is toasty warm, which is perfect for our Alaska summers. It fits great, and is easy to put on and take off. It keeps out all of the cold air, and the collar, and wrist closures are perfect. The thing has a ton of pockets, and places for phones, IPods, etc. It is just a great jacket that is well designed, functional, and works great.

Kilimanjaro 4.0 A+A+A+A+A+
Fit is a little snug I'm 5'11” @ 230 lbs stocky build (XL). Wears like a military field jacket, as comfortable (I wore one for 30 years) but with a lot more options. First trip out we where caught in heavy frog choking rain, I was as dry as standing in a gp meadium (tent). Excellent jacket very happy looking forward to long trips without carrying extra rain gear or jackets. Vents work well @ 85 degrees. Liner removes and installs nicely, side zippers and snaps in sleeves. With the liner and maybe a down vest I'll be ready for anything. I added the pants, wear gore tex boots, and a flip up lid, very comfortable.

Kilimanjaro 4.0
Great jacket and I bought the H2O pants as well. The jackets run small in size. Liner is a challenge to put back in but that is the only downside to this pair that I can find. The best wet weather gear on the market.
