This HJC AC-3 helmet is perfect for those who love the rush of the open air on their face as they cruise down the highways and byways in their Keroakian style. Lightweight (easy on your brain), forehead vent intake (keeps your head cool), and when the occasional perspiration, err... masculine sweat runs, a removable/washable inner liner (no stinky head).

  • Lightweight, fiberglass and Spectra shell construction
  • Nylon strap retention band neatly secures the chin strap
  • Removable/washable, Nylex inner liner and cheek pads
  • A Triple intake forehead vent is combined with a dual-density channeled styro liner and two rear venturi exhaust vents to allow for flow-through ventilation
  • Visor (included) and optional shield feature quick and easy, tool-less shields removal/replacement system
  • The helmet can utilize the visor or shield and has sleek lines

I did find out in Rider Safety School that helmets must be replaced every 3-4 years because the styrofoam deteriorates and loses its protective qualities. David Killeen,  TX HJC-AC3 LOVE the FIT I'm a big guy and was concerned about the sizing and ordering this helmet online. But IT IS PERFECT. I've already put 1600 miles on it. I like its light feel and comfort on the ears. I also have an intercom system and this helmet is PERFECT for those in helmet speakers and microphone. The vent is a little weak but that is minor. I was surprised at a few paint "dings" caused by bugs and road stuff. But I’d rather it hit the helmet than my head though.

Billy Sparks Choctaw ,  OK HJC - AC-3 Helmet & Sheild I bought two, one for me and one for my wife. We both are very happy with them. The fit and comfort is good and unnoticeable when wearing them. We have not had any trouble with the units. Air vents work well and the mechanics of the vents is constructed well too. If this is your type of helmet I would recommend it.

Butch Richmond,  Northwest Wow, what a great helmet! The HJC AC-3 is not only DOT approved but also Snell approved. It is very well made, rugged and strong, but yet lightweight. The fit is snug but not too snug - I mean, not so tight that it gives you a brain cramp! The ventilation in the helmet is excellent and there is no road noise or howling or whistling either. Butch Richmond,  New Brunsw Excellent helmet! Wow... what a great helmet! I needed a new helmet and was using an old Vega full face as a "loaner" helmet. The AC-3 helmet has such a great fit and the peripheral vision (almost 180* - maybe more!) is amazing. Though it looks a bit wide with just the visor (bobble head), I think it looks really good with the shield. Rob Brentwood,  TX AC-3 Helmet I measured my head and purchased accordingly. The size recommendations are small. I had this helmet on for about two minutes and the headache was too much to bear. It is well constructed, but it is quite a bubble. I felt like Jack (clown/ceo from jack in the box) or maybe George Jetson. I returned it and ordered a size up AC-2 which I love.
