Frank Lido Beach,  NY Shoei - J-Wing Helmet The matte black finish is a nice look. The fit is as advertised, The cheek pads are a little tight but will wait for them to compress. I can ride with the visor up but was quite comfortable with it down on a chilly drizzly night. The helmet feels light and aerodynamic. I can ride with my brother in-law who prefers a brain bucket and not look geeky.

Motoneta Brooklyn,  NY Fantastic..... After having other open face helmets I can say that this one excels in design and features. The shield is wide and locks in place with no chance of an unexpected lift. The open portion at the bottom of it provides just the right amount of air flow without bugs on your face. The inner liner detaches for washing and the fastening strap is padded so it doesn't rub against your skin. Fit and finish are top notch as with any other Shoei product and it is also Snell approved which is quite a badge for an open face helmet. I am a big fan of Shoei... I also own an X-Eleven. They are best. Expensive?.... Not at all !. It's your noggin inside !!!

John Shreveport,  LA J-Wing short term review The helmet is very comfortable and appears well made. The flip-up shield is very nice for drinking water and sitting at stop lights on hot days. Since I have only had it for about a month, my durability score is just a guess.

C.C. Honolulu,  HI Shoei- J-wing Great helmet. Highest quality, as expected from Shoei. Have a full face, also have a DOT half helmet, but this J-wing is the most comfortable and enjoyable of them all. I use this all the time now. Highly recommended. Worth the money.

Benny San Francisco,  CA Very good overall The J-wing has a very nice fit and finish. When the shield is not completely lowered the wind noise is considerable. As said by others there is very clear with in my opinion very little distortion. Be careful though, the shield can still be scratched. It is a good idea to use the bag that comes with it, when carrying the helmet around. The vents work pretty well in cooler. So far only been used in weather that is on the cool side and its worked out pretty well.

Blair Loney Red Deer,  AB Shoei-J-wing Helmet The product itself appeared to be durable and beautifully finished however fitment seems to be incredibly small. My wife and I had gone to several dealerships to try on helmets in order to know what size to order. After trying on many different brands of helmets we decided that our sizes were a small for her and a medium for me. I was thinking that even if the small helmet didn't fit my wife she could wear the medium and we would order a large for me. When the lids came in even the medium would not fit my wife’s head comfortably. The helmets were returned and more will be ordered from Motorcycle Superstore.

Biker Harley Gary Bakersfield,  CA Shoei's J-Wing Helmets I own several Shoei helmets. Normally, a Shoei helmet is a quality item. The J-Wing helmet seems to be a bit of an aberration in Shoei quality. The problem lies with the inner helmet lining. The snaps securing the liner appear too flimsy causing the lining to unsnap frequently when you put on the helmet. I own two J-Wings. The first helmet was returned for warranty work because a permanent liner anchor pulled out of the shell and the second helmet seems to have flimsy snaps holding the liner causing one or more snaps to become undone when putting on the helmet. I've never had this problem with any other model Shoei helmet so the inside liner attachment problems seem to be peculiar to the J-Wing model. The helmet would be terrific if the liner were attached and anchored more securely.
