Suomy Nomad: Noisy, Hot, Tight & Faceshield Peeling!
I read the previous reviews before I bought it. Those influenced my decision, so I ordered the next larger size. After a month it's still quite snug. Airflow is so miniscule I feel like I was lied to. The wind noise is huge even behind the BMW K1200LT windshield. There is a thin plastic coating inside the faceshield that is now peeling in three places and I only clean it with soaking wet, soft cloth. The corny hinge covers pop off at the most inopportune times and can be rather persnikity to reattach. The fastening straps are so short there is no need for the red snap on the end of the strap whatsover. The manufacturing date inside the shell is 2005. Now I think I know why it sat on the shelf for four years.

Good helmet
I have had the Nomad helmet for about a month. There is great air flow and with your head pointed forward there is little wind noise or lift from underneath. Turning your head to the side does cause a noticeable difference when going above 50. Overall I like the helmet and the silver finish is first class.

I just got my helmet from Motorcycle Superstore. I have a big head and was concerned about the fit. People said to buy a size larger. I bought the 2X-Large and it fits great! I was worried that it might not fit.
I mainly bought this to keep the cold out of my face. I normally wear a half helmet, but I hate the cold. I have never worn this much helmet before and was concerned about visibility limitations and sound limitations. The were NO problems. I am VERY happy with this product.

Awesome
I bought this helmet to get the cold off my face. That is exactly what this does AND to my surprise, I no longer have my head buffeted by the wind. I was going to buy lowers to reduce the wind but this GREAT helmet completely reduced that need. I have a big head and was concerned that the XXL might not fit. Well, it did and I love it! I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

BUY THIS HELMET!
This is the best open face helmet. Don't buy others buy this one! AFX brand sucks compared to Suomy. Interior of this helmet is soft and comfy! Less wind noise than AFX. If you size yourself with the helmet size chart, make sure you buy one size bigger than you normally wear!!! Ok enough typing, I'm going riding now!

If you are considering this helmet, don't hesitate any further- for the cost, you'll not find any better than this. I rate this one 5's on EVERYTHING, especially fit- it is superior to any out there- buy it!

Suomy - Nomad Helmet
This is the best helmet I have ever owned and I have worn many name brands and every style out there (Bennie, Half, Open Face, Full Face). It comes the closest of anything I've worn to not wearing a helmet at all, the most 'open feeling' of any kind. Still prefer to ride without a helmet and do when I can, but if I have to wear one this is the one I wear. The feature I like best is that it is not Snell rated, the BSI or European standards are much superior.

Suomy Nomad Open Face Helmet
Upon receiving my Suomy Nomad Helmet, the first thing I noticed was its design which was part one of the reasons I was attracted to it. From what I have personally observed, Suomy is in a class of its own. When it comes to style and quality, the Italians are usually at the forefront of just about everything and this helmet is no exception. The color that I ordered is Light Silver. Simply put, their color is stunning. I put the Suomy next to my Silver HJC -33 which looks pathetic by comparison. As for fit, their large size fits me very well indeed. Ventilation wise, there are three separate intake/exhaust ports. Additionally there are a multiplicity of Intake/Exhaust adjustments that you can make to suit you own particular preference. Durability wise, it's too early to comment but this particular helmet was derived from their Formula 1 Race Car Series.

This is a quality helmet. It is the equal, I think, of a Shoei or an Arai. The interior is very plush and comfortable. This is without a doubt the quietest 3/4 helmet I have ever worn. The face shield is a quality piece as well, crystal clear with perfect optics and has an excellent anti-fog coating. If you think I like it I do, I would give it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Superb Helmet!
This is one high-class piece of gear. Is it worth the price? Yes! The fit is tailor made. The styling is distinctive. Very lightweight. The quietest open face I've ever worn. This is the exotic-European-sports-car of helmets. Your head deserves the best!
