Good Boot
I like how the boot fits and opens on the side. One of the bottom straps tore off. Otherwise, I like them a lot.

My only concern
I do like the boot very much, the only problem I have is that at the top rim, inside the boot it is very rough and scratches my leg. The threading and the end of the leather seem to be unfinished. I'm not sure if this is a flaw in the boot or is that the way they are built.

Boots are part of essential gear
These boots look great if they fit you good, they look the part to a T. However, the fit is terrible. They are fine from heal to toe. But, from sole to instep, there is way too much room. Your foot flops all around in them. The velcro to adjust that fit really doesn't do anything at all. The top of the boot rubs your shins raw and the velcro on the sides don't adjust to keep it snug against your calves. I may have to find a leather worker to fix this boot.

Look great but not secure
These boots look fantastic - a combination of classic "engineer" style boots with a more modern treatment. However, there were serious problems with the way the boots actually fit. First of all, they are really loose across the top of the foot, so you can kick them off with only a swing or two of the leg. Unfortunately, what appear to be two adjustment straps are really just for looks...they don't actually make the boot fit any tighter. Second, the "padding" on the front of the boot - apparently a shin protector - is really no padding at all. The leather is just sewn in a way to make it look like there is padding. Third, the thread used to sew the leather is some sort of synthetic (which is good) but it’s roughly finished at the top of the boot and unless you wear LONG knee-length socks the thread at the boot top will rub your leg raw. So, you have a great-looking boot which would offer little of the protection they appear to offer, and rub your legs raw. I returned mine.

I love these boots. I wear them on my ride to work and bring a pair of shoes for my work day. Sometimes I forget to change into my shoes and wear the boots all day. They really are that comfortable.

I'm still breaking them in, but they fit well and are comfortable. You have to have faith when you buy foot wear without trying them on first. Thanks for the service you provide.

Look elsewhere?
Got these as a Christmas present. Wore them about 4 times before the loops that hold the ankle straps ripped off on the left boot. The stitching at the top of the boots rubbed my shins raw. MS did offer to take them back under warranty, but the warranty rules are obnoxious -- up to 8 weeks to get a refund, then you can order a new one, so figure 10 weeks to get a replacement. And the cost of shipping is on the customer. The Velcro closure makes it easy to get them on and off, but I can't use it to adjust the fit to the calf, since anything other than "default" changes the line of the boot. On the plus side, they are quite comfortable if I wear knee socks.

River Road Turnpike Cruiser boot
I've been wearing the same pair of boots for the past three riding seasons, and the sole is only starting to wear now. Very comfortable, looks good, and is also a comfortable boot when doing a lot of walking on pavement. Will definitely consider another pair. Only regret is that these boots are not waterproof.

Should have listened to the reviews
I read the reviews but bought them anyway. The Velcro straps don’t hold very well and the snitching at the top is really bad on your legs.
