bill jochum normal,  IL alpinestars effex boots I wore the boots for 2 days walking around before a 1000 mile riding weekend. Temperatures ranged from 30's to 70's and the boots were always comfortable... I wear a size 10 and originally ordered a 43 and they were too small. I returned and got the 44's and the credit w/o further issue. The boots are a little tight around the ankle but I am hoping they loosen up as I go along. thanks motorcycle superstore

Dominic Colorado Springs,  CO Awesome Boot! If you ride anywhere where it gets cold this is the boot for you. I rode in mid 80's temperature and the boot was comfortable. Probably not the boot for hot weather riding but here in Colorado it is cold more often than hot so these boots are perfect. Size was a bit weird--based on other reviews I thought my size 10 foot would need a 44. The boot ran a bit bigger than I expected--two pair of socks makes it better but I'd go down a size if re-ordering. Shifting is easy with these boots and they seem to hug the pegs well.

Laura Healy Newbury Park,  CA Soaking wet feet! These boots look and feel great until you get on the bike and ride. The first time I wore these, I only rode for an hour and my feet were soaking wet with sweat! They may be OK if you ride in the snow, but not in 70 degree weather! I have never had a problem with sweaty feet, so it's not that I sweat excessively. I thought $229 Gore Tex boots would provide better breathability!

GREG HARUBIN POMFRET,  CT ALPINESTAR EFFEX I wore the last pair for about 5 seasons. The new ones are more comfortable right out of the box than the broken-in ones. A bit warm for summer riding at times, but they have never leaked in rain riding. I got replacements because the velcro stopped working and some of the stitching was going due to rubbing on bike parts. But, I've put them through plenty, and they don't owe me anything. I'm happy.

Ricky W Bowen Timberlake,  NC Great boot This is probably the best fitting riding boot I have ever tried. The width at the front and the adjustable velcro around the zipper combine for a great custom fit. Great feel on the bike for shifting/braking. I would buy this boot again.

Chris Haverstraw,  MS Effex Gore-Tex Boot Sized appropriately. These boots are well made and tailored to exacting standards. They're road-ready, durable, and functional. Wear long socks or tuck pant cuffs in to prevent chafing from the boot top.

Mike Charlottesville,  NE Toe Box Similar to another review, I found that the toe box is too high for easy shifting on my SV650. I can't seem to bend my ankle enough to easily get the toe under the shifter. I had less trouble riding on a sportbike as I was pitched more forward and could get the toe under the shifter more easily. Still, even on the sportbike it was an unexpected difficulty. Otherwise the boots are very well made and comfortable. I'm a size 10 and got a European 44 size.

PAsystm Denton,  GA Alpinestars Very warm, comfortable and waterproof. Excellent winter/rain boot. Haven’t tried in summer but they will probably be hot. They seem stiff at first but break in nicely after a few weeks of riding. Construction seems to be very durable as is the case with my smx road racers. Hard to go wrong with Alpinestars. Minor complaint - would be nice to have a polymer guard for the shifter on top of left boot (like the smx's have)

GWW Belleville,  KS High volume toe box I received this boot promptly and in good condition from this vendor. The Effex Gore-Tex boots are built hell for stout. I'm sure they would last a very long time. Unfortunately, the toe box was too high volume - I couldn't shift my BMW F650GS while wearing them. I have worn everything from my Sidi Vertebrae Air racing boots to combat boots to bulky hiking boots and have never felt the shifter was too close before. I wear a standard size 11 shoe in a normal width. The Size 46 boot was too large
