Very good
They are not totally waterproof but they are great for the money. I rode in rain for about 3 hrs and my socks got damp but not too bad. Spray on some waterproofer and you will be set. The fit is good and comfy. Easy on and off. Broke in after 2 days. I recommend them.

Boot size fits correctly (at least for size 11). Comfortable right out of the box and even better after about 4 days of use. Very good non-skidding sole. Very good value for the money. Used only for one 1 week - so can't say much about durability.

I bought these boots, because they claim they were waterproof.
NO, THEY ARE NOT!!! My feet were wet in 5 minutes!
So, if you are looking for boots for rain-this is a complete waste of money!!!

Solid product!
These boots at size 13 fit my feet like a glove. I'm rough on my clothes and shoes, but they have held up very well and I am confident that along with my rain suit, cars can splash water on me and I'm perfectly dry underneath. These boots are an excellent buy.

I'm going to have to return these. I bought the size 12 and they're at least 1/2 size smaller than a size 12. They're also narrow and I would say my foot is just a smidge wider than the average foot. This is to say that I can usually buy running shoes without shopping for the wider ones and they'll fit just fine. They seem to be well made, but they just don't fit a size 12.

a bit floppy
These boots are great for the price. However, either they are either way too tight (my regular size) or too super loose (1/2 size up). Go figure. Buy your regular size & let them stretch. My big toe hit the front of my size & my entire foot moves around too much a half size up.

These are my third pair of Vega boots, the other two are a different model so these are my first touring version. A comfy boot although you need to buy one size bigger than your regular shoe size as these run a bit small. Loads of features here with twin zips and a velcro panel at the rear, along with a supple feel and little if any break-in period. The inner gaitor panel is what keeps the water out once you close the zips up. I’d have to test them in extended rain conditions to see how waterproof they really are but I’d definitely put some scotch guard or similar on the material and stitching plus the zippers fabric for extra protection.

Not too shabby!
I would have to say these are pretty nice looking boots. They are very flexible, kind of like wearing a slipper but heavier, if you know what I mean. They grip the road very well when at a stop, and they are easy to shift. There is absolutely zero break-in time with these: put them on and hop on your bike. They are also very comfortable. Now a few cons to these: they seem to be about 1/2 size smaller than my normal shoes/boots, so if you can order a half size larger. Also, the back of the boot, on both sides, has a velcro closure that links about halfway up the boot all the way to the top. When it is un-velcro'd, it appears to make it easier to put the boot on; however you do not need to use this. This makes it only slightly uncomfortable if your socks slide down and the velcro rubs against your leg. Good socks that stay up and you won't feel a thing.

Vega - Touring Boot
Great boot for the price!! The only issue I have with these boots is the dual zipper entry. I find it hard to put these boots on, kind of like ski boots, hard to get your foot into it. Once on they are incredibly comfortable. Almost no break-in period, very comfortable boot. Haven't used them in the rain yet so I'm hoping they are waterproof. Great value even with the entry issue, I highly recommend them.

Very happy with boots. Cheap price for a good boot. only put on 15 to 20 thousand miles a year riding so these should last 2 to 3 seasons. Wish the zipper handles were bigger but otherwise, quite happy and would buy again.

Nice boots
These boots were liked by a friend of mine and came with an endorsement from him. So, for the price, it was a no brainer. Now I am GLAD I bought them. I wear a 10.5 so I had to purchase a size 11. I'd much rather they are a smidge loose than too dang tight. Plans are in the works to add some boot insoles to see if that will take up some space They ARE waterproof and it makes me happy to see something do what it says it does. If you have any reservations, these boots for the money, are great!
I guess the only down side for me is the sizing. I rubbed a part of my calf raw because my calves probably needed a size 9 boot and not the 11 I have.

Too Soon to Tell, but
The fit rating at 4 is probably due to my skinny feet. The finish at 4 is a great rating for a boot priced at $69.99. I have not rubbed any holes yet. I like the zippers and the ease of getting in and out of these things. For the price I could use them as door stops and still be a winner.

Vega T-Boots
After wearing the Vega Boots(VT), I found the VT boots are great buy for the money. The construction and stitching are durable and of quality craftsmanship.
The VT boots are comfortable and modern looking. My only concern is that sole is very flexible and does not have a rigid feel to it. I am not sure how a tennis shoes type sole will protect your feet, and there does not seem to be adequate ankle support, though it is a boot style, that some of the popular racing boots offer. Still, the boot is great looking boot-one to definitely have in your arsenal of motorcycle gear. The price is an undisputable price: good bargain for the price.
I do recommend that you have at least 2 or more riding shoes, and not just a pair of the VT boots for all your riding purposes.

Vega touring boots are a bargain
Order your actual size or maybe half-size larger. Fit was a little a snug at first, but became comfortable, though thick socks might have been a problem. They held up very well on a 2000 mile dualsport ride. The only issue was that one zipper got a little stiff, but still worked. I'm very pleased with the boots. A good product at a decent price.

NOT WATERPROOF
Pros: 1. Good fit for my 8.5 somewhat wide feet. I added a Spenco insert on top of the cheap sole insert. Fits like an 8.5 boot. 2. Comfortable and somewhat supportive for a zip boot. Rear velcro adjustments help tighten the fit. 3. The sole grips the road in wet and dry condition. Cons: Can't go more than 4 hours in the rain before you are wet.
Nick

Not very waterproof.
I was thinking these were completely waterproof but you WILL get a little wet in the toe area in constant rain. They don't shift as well as my Alpines, because they're not as firm in the toe area. Easy to put on and would be real comfortable, but I think they're sized a little small. I got the 13 which is the biggest and it’s a little tight in the toe.

decent boots
The fit is right on (at least the size 8). The boot feels snug and supportive. Traction is excellent. Using just the outer side zipper, the boot is very easy to put on and take off, and it opens even wider if using both zippers. I believe the leather is split leather that is finished to look like top grain. I am pretty sure it is not full grain leather in any event.

I like the easy on and easy off zippers the most. I was advised to get one size larger than normal, which is what I did, and I was not disappointed. I like the boots but they are not a 13 even thought the tag says 13. They are a 12. I wear a 12 but wanted a 13 for more room seeing as they are boots. They are hard getting on and I don't think I could wear a thicker sock becuase of the tight fit. I have other boots that are 13 and they are bigger.

I bought them for a long trip, mainly because I wanted some waterproof boots. Well, they're not. 15 minutes into the first rain my feet were wet, not soaked but wet enough. Thankfully it was warm out. On a side note there's no support in the boot for the ankle, but they were pretty comfortable.

As a weekend rider these boots do me fine. I take a size 11.5, I ordered size 12 and they fit fine. My jeans fit around them nicely and hold snug. (TIP: buy a pair of riding jeans 2” longer than your normal size and they won't ride up.) The boots are light and go on easily.

Excellent Inexpensive Riding Boots
I commute to work on my motorcycle. I have to wear a suit every day, so I need a pair of boots that looked OK to wear all day with a suit, thereby making it unnecessary for me to bring dress shoes daily. These boots are comfortable enough for all day wear. They get a little toasty in 80 + degree weather, but not unduly uncomfortable.
I would like to see YK zippers and the plastic patch that protects the boot from the shifter be larger. Have only had them a month or two, so can't really speak about durability. They seem like they may be pretty durable, but only time will tell. They did fit like a glove right out of the box. I wear a 12D in everything, and these in a 12D were perfect for me.

A good deal as they were on sale. Very comfortable boots! My only negative observation is that the outside side zippers are tough to zip up. There is a seam on that side that seems to be the cause. I waxed the zippers and that helped, but I never zip them down past that seam on the outside.

Very good boot for the price. The fit was excellent and very little break in was needed. They do tend to rub the skin at the top of the boot, the material is rough. I bought knee high socks and they are now more comfortable. Great boot at great price. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Good boot for the money
I tried these boots and have been satisfied with them. They are comfortable to walk in. They could use some sort of ventilation, a bit warm at times but not excessive. I wanted $249 Alpinestars, but settled for these and have not been disappointed. Good product for the money. I don't know about durability or how waterproof yet. I wish they came in half sizes.

Great boots for the money, but order a size large.
Well, first the bad. These boots are UGLY!! And they do indeed run small. I wear a 9.5 all the time. Sometimes 9.0 and only rarely a 10.0. I ordered these in a 10.0 and they are ok, but really still very small for a 10. The toe box is narrow and I guess I should have known being Italian. Get a size larger than you think. Now the good: Hey, they're cheap! And even though mine are a bit too tight, they are comfortable for everything but my toes. They are like walking in sneakers. They are also warm, which is good since I can't fit anything bulkier than a thin dress sock inside. They are also easy to get in and out of with the dual zippers. Bottom line: If you don't mind the looks and you get the right size, they are a great value. Even with the negatives, I still feel like they were a good value. I'll wear em till they wear out and then I'll spend a bit more money and get something better.

Almost water proof
The material that this boot is made from or treated with may be water proof, but the thread sewn it not waxed or fails to keep out water. The first day out of the box I was in rain all day. Mostly walking around, not windblown highway speeds pushing the water into the boot. The main area that leaked was on the toe region where the rubber patch is sewn. I have since used a beeswax type product to seal the boot. Works much better now. I would recommend this boot with a little help it will do you alright.

Vega Boots - review
Very disappointed with these boots. It is way too soft of a boot to be called boots. Not substantial enough to provide adequate protection. I don't know when I would actually where them and feel confident or secure. They are comfortable to be slippers though, but again cannot be called a riding boot. Don't know if waterproof.

Order a size up and then the boot's fit is excellent. They break in quickly and have a good grip on the road. The outside zipper of both boots requires a little more break-in, so just leave it up and they are still very easy to slip on and off.

Vega - Touring Boots
They are sized a bit small. I normally wear 9 or 9.5 but ordered 10 based on other comments and this was fine. Very comfortable for riding or walking and so far, they are not hot, even on very warm days. I have a zipper issue on one side of one boot, very hard to get up while the other boot zipper slides very easy. May just be I got a bad zipper. But overall, good value, very easy to get in and out of and very comfortable.

Only done about 400 miles in these boots so far - they are comfortable, easy to get on and off due to the double zip and have good depth at the bridge. I ordered the next size up as recommended on here, and they fit really well. Great value for money as other boots I looked at cost upwards of $130!

Nice quality boots for less the price
For what I paid for this boots, I can't really complain. The leather quality is good and I feel secure wearing this boots. The only one complaint I have is that my calf is probably too small for this boots. It doesn't wrap around my calf that well. I wear this boots inside my jeans, so when I'm on a stop and my feet are down on the ground, the boots protrudes out. Again, for the price, don't complain.

I've had these boots for a couple of months now and love them. The size was true (12 in my case) and the break in period was no more than an hour. Really Good Boots
These boots are well worth the money. The double zipper makes them very easy to get on and off. They look good and are real comfortable. I broke my ankle badly in a crash in September and had not found any kind of footwear that I could wear even semi-comfortably until I got these boots. They are comfortable enough that I even wear them to work and can get around all day, which I was unable to do before I got them. They run small, though, and I had to get one size larger than I usually wear. I definitely would buy them again.

Vega Touring Boots
As I have seen in other reviews, they run small, so order at least one size large. I think the zippers will need some lubrication because they don't pull too freely, but maybe that's because they're new. The boot tops are snug against my calf (and I'm not thick legged, either), but maybe that's what waterproof boots need to be snug against the skin? I got caught in a downpour once without waterproof boots. Thanks to these, that event should never repeat itself!

I've only had them for a month, however they serve the purpose for the price. I'm a 12.5 and the 13 fits perfectly in length. The width is a little wide but with a pair of thick socks the fit ok. They have kept my feet warm in 40 degree weather. Haven't ridden in the rain so I don't know what they'll do. In the riding position my toe slips right under the shift lever. The boot looks good, and when walking around they feel like a regular boot, no breaking in needed. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the boot.

Nice Boots
Like others recommended, I ordered a size 12 when i take a size 11. They fit ok and I will have room for heavy socks for winter riding. The dual zipper makes on/off a breeze. The lack of anti-crush protection around the ankles is the only significant lack I see. The shin guard is very solid, but does tend to chafe the ankle while walking unless longer socks are worn. I have no idea how durable they will be, especially with the fabric lining.

Perfect boots, except...
The price was right with these Vega's on clearance, they do well in rain and even ice storms. The only caveat is the lack of room in the toe box. I ordered them 1 size larger than usual, and they fit fine from calf to mid-sole, but my toes are cramped. I've never needed wide shoes, but there's not quite enough room for my little toe. They'll do me just fine for commuting though, but long tours and excessive walking is just too painful.

Good, very good
I bought these for my wife and took a chance on the size. Got lucky. They do run small, probably close to a full size.
Now the good news. She loves them. Comfortable, good looking and they seem to be fairly sturdy. A little snug around the calf area, but she said they are breaking in and that part is loosening up. She is very pleased with the boots and even more pleased with me that I didn't spend a ton of money on these things. Would recommend them...just buy a size larger than you normally would.

First m/c boot that I have owned and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. The styling is what attracted me most about the boot, especially the embossed logo on the front of the boot. The dual zippers are great for putting on and taking off. Well insulated, although I have not had them out in the rain, but my feet stay plenty warm on those highway drives to work in the chilly mornings. I would have given 5's all around but one thing that is a 4 is the arch support - there is none. No big deal since I really don't do a lot of walking around in them. Well worth the $70 for what you get.

For the price these are good boots. The dual zipper make for easy entry and exit. Break in is minor. I wore them around the house one night and felt comfortable in them with no problem walking. OUCH!!!!
Great boots, well made, love all the features, but these things are sized the smallest of any boot or shoe I've ever bought. I ALWAYS wear an 8 1/2 or 9. A size 9 in any previous shoe/boot required heavy socks or adding a padded insole. Size 9 in the Vegas Nitro? My toe is jammed right to the tip of the boot. Had to get a size 10 for the first time in my life!! Hopefully, this saves somebody the time and expense of ordering their "normal" size, only having to pay to return them for a larger size

I am very happy with these boots. I think they serve their purpose very well at a great price! I'm a fair weather rider, but if I do get caught in the rain, hopefully my feet will stay dry. They're very easy to put on and take off and have excellent traction. I gave them a 4 for fit because they are a hair too small but are still comfortable. Good Boot For Price
Only just had the opportunity to do riding in the wet for about 4 hours during remnants of TS Ike. The boots stood up very well. Feet ended up damp but that was more sweat than rain getting in I believe. I take a size 13 in everything and fit is a tad tight and a 13½ would have been better if they made it so next time I would go with a 14. When I say tight I mean they are pretty well fine whilst riding but would not want to walk 5 miles in them but I did not buy them for walking! Can’t really comment on durability but overall a good boot for a cheap price.

Great purchase for the price....
These boots fit real well, and they are easy to put on and take off. For the price, they are a very good boot. I did experience a little wetness on my left foot during a real heavy rain storm, but the rest of my feet were dry, and the other boot didn't leak at all. All I can figure is that it somehow came in through the shift plate in the left boot. Bottom line though, I would purchase them again.

Better then expected
Got these in and am very pleasantly surprised. After 12 hours in my work boots every day these are so light in weight it felt like had slippers on. 90 degrees days so far and no hotter then my gym shoes. Delivery was on time, no fuss at all. Sizing for me is tricky as I wear boots...alot of boots and I know sizes vary with companies... I wore everywhere from 8 1/2 to 10 EE so I just split the middle got a size 9 and the Vegas were a perfect fit!!! If I wear these out I will look for them again.

Absolutely the Best Buy
These boots fit and look so good, I bought a second pair for myself and also a pair for my 9 year old son. They are comfortable not only on the bike, but in every day wear. I have received compliments on them on more than one occasion. A great buy for the money.

Question how much leather is really in the boot but why does it matter... they are holding up

The seems that are on the side are coming out on both boots. The other fit issue is that the right boot is very wide in the arch. I will need to add a boot liner to make them fit proper. I do like the looks and features of the boot.

My wife loves these boots!!
Fit really good! Water resistant, not water proof but very close. My wife and I spent a week on vacation in them, wore them for up to 12 hours a day, which included hiking and shopping, didn’t have any problems at all. Would highly recommend these and will be buying some for our children.

Comfortable and Waterproof
It is in the lower 30's when I start riding for the year. I got these to keep my ankles warm on the way to work. I was able to use them during a heavy thunderstorm and they keep me completely dry. There was at least an inch of water on the road and I kept dry. They have been comfortable and a great price.

Great for touring
I bought these boots as a replacement for my nearly worn through Alpinestars. The fit, finish is great, and they feel and look fantastic. My only problem is that I wear a true ten and a half, but I had to buy elevens, because they only come in whole sizes. Not to worry though, I purchased a pair of gel insoles and that made them fit just right.

Good boots at a great price
I've been wearing a pair of these since March. I really like them. Comfortable. Good fit. Right on sizing. Good looking boot for the money. I have had no problems with wear. Over 4,000 miles of riding so far without one flaw. They were a little hard to get on at first but then I realized there is velcro on the back that can be opened up a little to give more room. You can pay about as much as you want for a pair of motorcycle boots. I paid $69 and couldn't be happier!

The boots seem great. I haven't been caught in the rain yet which is why I bought them. I have ridden in temps from 28 degrees to 45 a lot of mornings to work. My feet were quite comfortable on the rides with just a plain pair of socks. Better than my work boots. They are comfortable to walk around in also such as errands. I did have to reorder one size up. Now I am just waiting for the credit. good boot for the money. June 3rd temp is 53 degrees at 3:30 warm feet.

Great - but
A wear a size 12 shoe and boot. These in size 12 are just a BIT too big. I can compensate by wearing a thick pair of socks. Other than that - great boots.

Love these boots! Comfortable, lightweight, good grip at stoplights, etc. Haven't tested them in rain, don't know if they leak but do not intend to ride in rain anyway so that is not a big issue with me. Only wore once, unable to rate durability at this time, could not submit this review without checking the durability section so I picked the median (3). They may fall above or below the average, only time will tell.

Very nice boots for the money, comfortable right out of the box. I read the reviews about not being waterproof but I don’t ride in the rain so no big deal. I’m sure I’m going to buy another pair.

Nice, but not dry
I wanted an inexpensive rain boot and so this looked like a good buy. Very comfortable boot, but when the rain hit, my feet were soaking wet. It seems the water leaked up from the seams and not the zippers. I now wear these only as my dry weather boots, but still keeping my eyes open for an affordable rain boot.

8 months or use
I would have to score these boots low due to the fact that the heel has split and the soles are coming detached from the boot after only 8 months. I initially liked the boots very much, but after day to day use they have not handled the wear well at all. I would only recommend these to someone who does not ride everyday. The occasional rider will find them satisfying but they just will not hold up to everyday use. On a positive note, they fit very well and are an extremely light weight boot.

Great boots so far...
Very comfortable out of the box, and my feet stayed very warm at 32 degrees. They also fit to size, I wear a size 11 and they fit perfect. The zippers make them easy to get on and off, I have not yet been able to check them in the rain yet. But from what I hear they leak through the zippers, but my Tour Master pants cover the zippers. Not much armor but the price was great. They are also not as ugly as most boots.

A pleasant surprise
Wanting to move into a better boot than cowboy or hiking boot I took a chance on a “cheap” boot before moving to the name brand stuff. This boot has worked out splendidly. Comfortable, keeps my feet cool in the heat, warm in the cold and dry in the rain. I took a 4 mile hike while in Mesa Verde and they worked great. I wonder if the zippers will hold up year after year. They seem a bit fragile but haven't broke yet. I forget I have them on. I never worry about what I'm getting ready to do on or off the bike. Praise enough there.

Soft side
The price attracted me to purchase these boots, they are OK for city riding, but for going out of town they are a little on the soft side for my liking, I would prefer something more secure, but for the price they do the job. They are about as soft as a pair of sneakers. Fit and finish are about a 3 to me.

Not at all waterproof.
Well, they're cheap and pretty comfortable. That's about all the good things about them. After 20 minutes in the rain they leak like crazy and get completely soaked through and through. Makes them worthless here in Oregon.

Some parts good, other parts horrible
Originally, these boots were pretty comfortable with the softer heel. No pun intended, but that same softness is its Achilles heel. The heel completely broke within 2 months of wearing these boots during my daily commute, and occasional weekend ride. I assume (hope) that this was the exception rather than the rule, as the other Vega products I currently own (modular & half helmets) have performed well enough so far. While I will most likely buy other Vega/Nitro products in the future, I would not buy these boots ever again.

Nitro Touring Boot
Decent boot for the price. Sizing seems accurate and the boot is comfortable to wear. Haven't worn them in the rain yet so I can't speak to the "water-proofness". Pros: Double zipper, comfort, shin protection, price, rubber toe shift pad. Cons: Wide on top at the calf, no side ankle protection.

Excellent boot for the price. My size 9 fits exactly like a size 9 should. Soft leather is comfortable to wear, walk, and ride in. They keep my feet warm down to 35 degrees. I would have given them 5 stars if my feet had stayed dry my first ride in the rain. They are supposed to be waterproof and despite other reviews saying they are, mine are not. I really like them otherwise and plan to try something to waterproof them with before riding in the rain again.

I am new to biking and didn't have a whole lot to spend on boots so I picked this up to try out. I didn't care for them. I have a somewhat wide foot and these were definitely not made for that. Also, overall they just weren't comfortable and the quality seemed questionable to me. I am not saying they were horrible, but if you are going to be riding a lot you may want to spend a bit more and get something of a little higher quality. I was looking for a quality touring boot at a good price. I looked and found the Vega Nitro. I ordered a pair in size 10. They arrived in no time. Great service. They fit perfectly and look good too. Great Value
I got these boots because they were the cheapest boots of their kind. Got to say, I am impressed with the quality for the price. Only had them a month but they seem like that will last a long time. Keep me feet very warm in the 50 degree weather I have been riding in. Only thing I don’t like about them is that you have to tuck your jeans/pants into them. If you don’t they are really uncomfortable to walk around in. If you tuck them in, no problems at all. Its probably how most boots are d

I would give them a 5 if they came in half sizes. I'm a 10 and a-half so I got the 11's which are a bit too big. Other than that, these are excellent boots. I have a high in-step and had had trouble even getting into similar boots I had tried on locally. With the 2 zippers on these Nitro's, getting them on and off is very easy. I walk about 3 miles at lunch and I've worn these to work all day plus the walk - very comfortable. I even own the heated Gerbing socks and they work great with them (eve

Outstanding Boot - Got'em Fast Too
Wonderful boot, don't even think twice about not getting them. In the days where basic sneakers from Nike or Converse cost $100.00 or more, it is sure neat to get a good product at a fair price. They fit fine and are well padded. A bit stiff at first, but the velco and zippers help get you into them easy enough. I have been looking for some good boots that didn’t cost $200 bucks but gave good protection and were real leather. FOUND THEM!!

The go-to boot
I've had a pair of these for over a year now and used them nearly every day. They're a great value for an all-around riding boot and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for something to commute or tour in. I have a set of insoles in mine, and they're comfortable to walk in, unlike other motorcycle boots. They're warm in the winter and keep the water out (in fact, in some storms, my socks were the only things that stayed dry). The are HOT in the summer, and they're not something I'd use for spor

I like this boot. It is well made for a very affordable price. I have one very small issue; no half sizes are offered. I am a size 9, and the boots are cut to an exact size 9. decent price-adequate 1st pair of riding boots
These are the first riding boots I have owned. I did a good amount of research and certainly had some better quality boots on "the list", but the prices were much higher. With this purchase I can learn the ins and outs of riding boots and upgrade later while still having these as a spare pair. The nitro boot is light, easy to put on, decent looking boot. Not bad for commuting
Boots fit great and are a great price. Easy on and off, and somewhat comfortable to walk in on concrete. Only complaint I have is that the velcro adjuster is not for people with small calf's. Hey Vega, add a little more velcro to the center of the back. Other then thought, GREAT BOOTS!!!!!!!

I needed an inexpensive pair of riding boots, and these sure fit the bill. They were very comfortable right out of the box, width of the boot is a bit wide, but that's alright with me, since I'm just using them to commute to work. Other reviews state that these boots are not waterproof, that doesn't matter to me since I do not ride in the rain. Its a great boot for the price.

These boots are great in the rain they keep my feet dry they have a good soul anti-slip they look wide but the size is accurate for me. They tend to be hot on hot days and my feet sweat but on cool days and in rain they are very nice and the ability they give, of zipping on and off is good even though I find it is easier to zip up one side of the boot than the other each boot is the same. The first side I zip up the other side is more difficult.
I like them on cool days and in the rain.

Not a rain rider! (If possible in the NW)
I bought these after reading several reviews about them. Like I say above, I don't like to ride in the rain so up here in Tacoma, which means I have about 3 months a year to ride in. These boots fit well, feel great, don't slip on the road surface and are easy on/off. Sure they're not $200 boots, but I can't justify that for the short riding season I have. They work perfect for what I wanted: an inexpensive comfortable street boot that I can use when I ride into work or around the cruising roads

For an inexpensive boot...
The Vega Nitro Touring Boot is the best boot for the money you can buy. I wanted an inexpensive boot that was easy on-easy off that I could commute to work in. I have a narrow foot and found that the boot ran true to size and although it seems big, my foot doesn't slip and is very comfortable to wear or walk in. My wife happens to have a very wide foot and she bought the men's boot and loves it.

Mens Boots are just fine for Women and Cheaper
Okay...I hate the fact that they overpriced the Women's style (by the way I couldn't see the difference) and the Men's fit me just fine and were more comfortable than size 9 Women's I tried. The Women's and Men's sizes run smaller than normal. So order the next size up than normal. PS a Women's normal 9 = a Men's 8.

Good Boots for the Money
The boots only deserve three stars, but I added a fourth because the price is so attractive. I live in Nevada, so not being waterproof doesn't matter much. However, the boots seem well built, are easy to put on and take off, and the soles stick well. If you're riding with street or tennis shoes because you can't afford $175 for Sidi's, buy these.

NO...They are NOT waterproof!!
I really wanted a nice pair of waterproof boots. These are not them! They are very comfortable to walk around in, but they really don't have a lot of extra armor so they are just about as much protection as a little taller hiking boot IMO. I wore them in a moderate rain and my feet were soaked within 10 minutes. I guess you do get what you pay for. I returned them and got full store credit. (I bought them from our dealer)

Perform poorly in moderate rain
Fairly comfortable if you have thin calves (I don't), otherwise difficult to close the zips. These boots leak like a sieve in moderate rain showers. By this I mean after 1/2 hour of highway cruising in rain your feet will be drenched, and stay that way for the rest of the day. Nice price, poor rain performance.
