Riggs Mannington,  WV Hydron-Fog Free Flip Shield For the most part the Fog Free Shield lived up to its name except when the temperature dipped pretty low then it would temporarily fog up for a second or two when you exhaled a good sized breath. When you throttle up over 40 to 45 mph the shield would rattle constantly, not loud but constant. Also, when the face shield is all the way down there is an annoying distortion where it curves at the top but is easily eliminated by raising the shield slightly. On the positive side you didn't get claustrophobic when it was down as with most face shields and being able to flip it up and down makes it worth any negatives you encounter.

Riggs Mannington,  WV Hydron fog free flip shield Pros - The face shield didn't make me feel claustrophobic, on most mornings it remained fog free except on the mornings it was a little colder than normal. The ratchet works well and is very handy. Cons - The face shield makes some rattling noise as your speed picks up. The bottom of the shield tends to hit my chin when it is all the way down. At the top of the shield, where it is curved, there is some visual distortion.

Gaye Austin,  TX Love this! I am now on my fourth Hydron shield. I get one about every year because they do get scratched really easy and are hard to clean without getting little micro scratches. Other than that they are the best performing shield I've had. Even after more than a year they still show no fog even in the low 30's. They stay put and don't flip up when riding at high speeds. I would highly recommend this product.

Chuck Washington,  NY Great Affordable and well-designed. A big help with wind + bugs. At 60 mph into a headwind I've had no trouble at all with the shield vibrating, rattling, or sliding out of position. I would guess other reviewers with these problems either got defective units, roached the hinges, or did not fully engage the snaps when installing - you have to apply pretty substantial pressure to get it right. RECOMMENDED!

"J.C." Clements Lakeside,  MD PRODUCT REVIEW I was touring Europe and had my "Fixed" face shield fog over when I entered a tunnel in Austria (Cold into warm air). That episode took about five years off my life as I tore at the shield to free it from my helmet so I could see! I immediately went and purchased a flip shield and wouldn't have anything else now. So when I was planning our trip to Sturgis this year, I ordered one for my wife. Let me add that I seldom wear a face shield, but when I do, this is the one for me!

Bob Carlsbad,  Prince Edw Hydron Face Shield I'm not a big face shield wearer but sometimes due to weather conditions it's nice to have. This on doesn't hamper breathing so that's nice but the snaps rattle and on coming wind from trucks etc. flips the shield up. I didn't find any adjustments for that and it's very annoying. Even cars made it flip. All in all, pretty disappointed in it. A lot of money paid for something that irritates me. I have enough of that. Slow to ship as well. Paying for 2 day shipping does no good when it's 5 days be

GB Bremerton,  Prince Edw Hydron Fog Free Flip Shield I've only used this shield once so far and it's not bad. The wind did not get past the shield like my old one and the smoke color was much better for the sun than the clear. I loved the ratcheted hinges (my old one didn't have those and the shield always fell down when I wanted it up). The only real problem I've had is the snap covers are very loose so they rattle constantly -- which is extremely annoying to me. I've decided to attempt a little glue to see if that helps because I prefer this
