rich schankereli nyack,  NY Vega Ear Pads Product is well made with a good fit. Not much to break on this pad so durability should not be a problem. If you are looking for something to reduce noise, this is not the right choice. Only meant to keep the wind off, does not have any specialized compartment for communication hardware.

Michael Pottstown,  PA Vega Ear Pads for XTS Helmet a Must Have My recommendation is to buy the ear pads that are optional with this helmet, especially if you are switching from a full head helmet for the first time. The wind noise is intense over 50MPH if you are not used to it. If you put an earbud in to listen to music while you ride (I know, it technically not legal but many people do it!) the ear pads are a MUST HAVE. You would not be able to hear a thing without them. Also, they are good for chilly days below 80 F.
