caliber pants
The pants are very adequate. They could be a little longer in the legs. They expose a little of my lower legs when riding. I don't wear high boots. They could have added a rear pocket for a wallet. They could have incorporated some venting so they aren't so warm in the summer. Sounds like I'm complaining but really I'm quite satisfied.

Great Cold Weather Pants!
I recently got to use the Tour Master Caliber pants on a five hour ride in forty degree temperature and felt toasty warm. Great cold weather gear!

Caliber Pants
I purchased the caliber pants because they came in a short 30 inseam, the overpants only came in a 33 in inseam. My waist is a 38 so I bought the 3XL short size 40-42 waist to go over my pants . They fit great and are very warm, I rode in 40-50 degree weather. The full length zippers make it easy to get them on and off. Velcro straps on the bottom keeps the wind from going up your legs. If you get too warm just open the zippers or take out the liner. Haven't used them in the rain yet but I am pretty sure they will keep you dry. I have the tourmaster air intake jacket and that liner keeps you dry in the rain. The pants are comfortable, a little bulky like snow pants but I bought them to keep me warm. Good purchase.

Great Pants but not totally waterproof!
Had to order a medium men's size so I could get the length I needed...long. Very warm, pretty good rain protection except the crotch! Liner makes for a tighter fit which is why I got one size larger than I would usually ware. Velcro makes for interesting access to pockets...the Velcro is quite "grippy". Pants do break in a little bit with wearing. Good armor protection and they look good too. Other than the waterproofing issue...I recommend these pants!

Very pleased
I wore the pants on an 850 mile ride and am very pleased with them. They fit well over my jeans and protected me from the wind in 40 degree temperatures without the liner. I especially like the adjustable knee pads. I highly recommend them for cool to cold weather.

Caliber Pants
I bought these pants as overpants for cool weather and so far they work fine. Haven't needed the liner down to 45-50 degrees. Easy on and off with the side zip. They seem a little bulky but they also provide good protection, they're fine when you're riding you just don't want to walk a lot in them. Like other reviews say, the kneepads take some adjusting. I'm 6'2 205 and I normally take a 36-34 pant, the XL tall works great over jeans.

Not completely waterproof!
I held off writing a review of these pants until I had a decent commute in the rain. Today was the day. The pants are mainly waterproof except the crotch area. Not sure why they used stretchy fabric between the thighs but they have and it lets water in, hence the wet underwear when I got to work. That disappoints me. I wonder how much more wet I would have gotten if I was riding for hours versus the one hour commute? As for the sizing, I am a 5'5" gal who wears a size 14 - 16 pants. I had to order men's because of the length choices. Got an XL/short and they fit well. A bit tight with the liner in but that is my fault. :-) Overall look is sharp and goes with my sport bike and cruiser. Pants will need to be broken in a bit, very stiff when you first get them. Overall satisfied but they are not completely waterproof and that is what I was really looking for in a 3 season pant. It rains so much here in the winter, I live near Vancouver, BC. I would recommend them for cooler weather though. Rode in 2 degrees Celsius, that is 35.6 degrees F and I was toasty. No concerns about how warm these pants will keep me at this time. One more thing, the main zipper should have a bigger pull and it does get caught in the liner if you are not careful.

Bought a month ago anticipating cool weather on a bike trip weekend. These pants look great, fit well, were great in the cool (started at 40F) weather and very comfortable. Sizing worked fine too as I am a 32x32 and M was perfect fit... long enough legs for fit at the boots. Did not have rain so can't vouch for that yet.

Very happy with my purchase
Great pants. Very well made. Plenty warm for cold weather. Not too bad for warm weather with the liner out. I wear mine over regular pants. Recommend up sizing by one to two sizes, especially if you want to go over pants. What should have been my size was much too tight in the waist. I am tall (normally wear a 35 inseam) but the length (size long) was perfect. Very happy with my purchase and with Motorcycle Superstore!

Nice Pants!
These pants seems to fit on the small side. I'd order at least one size larger. Other than that they are very nice pants. The long leg zippers making getting into and out of the pants a breeze. The knee armor stays in place and the liner keeps you nice and toasty. I'd definately recommend these pants!!

Not quite waterproof
These are really nice overpants. I use them over my office wear during commuting. I used them on a recent trip and got caught in a good rain shower. The pants leaked at the crotch and caused everywhere to get wet. Do not buy these pants thinking that they will replace rain gear.

Great textile pants
I got these because I wanted pants with armor, and I didn't find any leather ones I liked at < $300. The armor fits well, and I used my pants both with and without jeans under them. Interestingly, I get more sweaty without the jeans, perhaps because of the lack of any moisture wicking in the other case. The hip pads seems ok. You do look a bit like Robocop while wearing them, but that's ok. I never went through serious rain with them yet, but I expect them to be alright.

Great except for zipper
This is a great 3 season pair of pants, suitable for rain, cold, and medium warm (not hot) weather, except for the zipper. The zipper broke after a few months of wear, I sent it back for warranty repair, and the zipper broke again after using only a few times. The zipper is a poor quality plastic, unlike the well-built materials for the rest of the construction.

The features on these pants are outstanding. Rode with them in the snow and 20 deg. and was not cold. Comfortable and well padded. Riding with them now in the heat of summer and they are not bad. They ran big on me, I needed the XL for the length but as a result it looks like I have a balloons in the pants at the hips. So be it. Very happy with the purchase.

Not too Flashy, but just right!
Pants fit true to size. I'm a size 31-32 waist and 5'9 3/4"+ and 145 lbs and tried on a Med at the store, but decided to order up a sm. I like to wear a pair of swimtrunks underneath in the summer. I've even worn jeans underneath and it’s snug, but not too tight in the waist area. Pants def keep you warm with the liner, but are cool enough with the liner out on mid 70's days. I think the pants look great with their contrast stitching, and they have a nice reflective stripe. I like that the knee armor is 3 way height adjustable. I wish the pant was offered in a slightly longer length as the legs for my size frame could be an inch or so longer. But they're ok. I ride a 2008 ZX-10R and these pants are cool enough for the bike.

Solid pants for cooler riding weather.
I purchased these to go with my Transition 2 series jacket and they have proved to be very dependable. With the change in weather, I was looking for something that would work from 35 degrees to 75 degrees. The pants work very well in cooler weather, but can be too warm when it gets into the 70's. I ride to work with shorts on underneath when it is in the mid 30's to 40's, because in the pants were too warm and I tended to sweat a lot when it was 60-70 in the afternoon. Mine are a little tight on me at the waist, but that is because of the operator, not the pants. I do have a question as to why they didn't put pulls on the zippers like the jacket, and I tend to get the liner caught in the leg zippers. Overall I recommend these pants for cooler weather riding, but they will be bulky if you have to store them in a saddlebag or other small compartment.

Sub-Pants
Great look and fit. Warm, especially with liner. Good padding. However, one of the velcro, waist-band belt tighteners failed right away. After close inspection, it appears Tourmaster has skimped on the fabric and construction. The connection of the belt to the pants appears to be a double-thickness fabric and robust x-box sewing, but the fabric isn't completely doubled, so the tension of the belt adjuster pulled the stitching right through. Too bad you can't see that level of quality from the website photos. Probably wouldn't buy these again. Having quality issues with the matching jacket too. I thought TourMaster was better than this.

I bought the 2XL-Short and they fit quite well for me at 5’8” and a 38 inch waist. I can wear them over jeans without a problem. The knee pads are adjustable and the lining is removable. I used them in 40F temps, quite nice and warm.

These pants offer protection and versatility. They can be worn alone, with or without the easy-to-zip thermal liner, or as overpants. Leg zippers to the thigh make them a snap to put on and take off over boots. They run true to size for both waist and inseam, and the knee pads are three-position adjustable. I usually wear them with my attachable Tour Master Rincon jacket (also a great product).

I have only used the pants one time. The temp. was 26 degree F. I spent 45 min to 1 hour traveling at 80 mph with a large group of cars. The pants protected me from the wind and cold very well. I wear size 40 pant inseam 30 so I ordered 40 - 42 large, with the 32 - 33 inch inseam. I wanted them longer for sitting on the motorcycle. The size worked well I had enough room in them to wear them over a set of blue jeans. These pants may be a little too warm if you only drive stop and go in the city. Well worth the price.

Nice Pants!
I purchased the TourMaster Caliber riding pants expecting a warmer ride to work. That is exactly what I got. The riding pants are extremely warm. I normally ride about 11 miles to work in 35 degree to 45 degree weather. The pants are nice and toasty warm. I have not even used the liner because they are warm enough without it. I wear my riding pants over my jeans, and they fit a little snug around the waist, but are roomy otherwise. The zippers on the side of the legs are great because I can get them on over my work boots. They were not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The TourMaster Caliber Pants have been well worth the money.

Pretty good pants
These pants are my first riding pants. They make me feel better about my legs in the event of a crash and they are warm even without the liner. The problems with them are fairly minor. People say they look like snow pants so you really can't wear them all day and they are very hard to pack away in a backpack. As far as wearing them while riding, the adjustable knee pads are great and they sit right on my knees while I'm on the bike. Overall good pants for the money.

Great Pants
I tried these out on a 30 degree morning. Been riding 30 years and these are my first cycle pant. They were very comfortable and warm. Blocked the wind very well. Fit was great. Armor is comfortable. Easy on and easy off. Previously all my rain suits had a relatively short zipper at the cuff. These are much easier to get in and out of. Planning to use them when I go to Alaska again this summer. They will likely be too warm for a hot day.

Buy One Size Bigger For Overpants!
I am 5'8", 180 lbs with a 34 inch waist and 30 inch inseam, so following the advice from others here, I ended up getting the XL short. I am glad that I did because I bought them to use as overpants. They would have been too tight if I went with my actual size.
For the money, it is an excellent riding pant. My only complaint is the awful knee armor adjustment system. It holds them in place well, but the adjustment part is a pain.

Nice pants, one small niggle
Nice material and workmanship, armor in knees that stays put, nice and warm on cool coastal rides, however... they are plenty long while standing (I'm tall and ordered a long size), but they do ride up quite a bit while seated on my slightly sporty bike, barely covering the tops of my boots. Maybe they will loosen up and fit better with age. Still, about the only pants in this price range that come in tall sizes. Great service from Motorcycle Superstore.

Not Too Cool
Once you get them on, which isn't easy, they do the job. Comfortable, safe, and warm. However, they are stiff and the front doesn't open too wide so getting them on is a little tough. All that velcro is tough to deal with too. Great winter pants, but no one will ever accuse you of trying to look cool. Everyone looks real fat in these pants!

Great Pants
I bought these for cold weather riding. I have been riding in as low as 26 degrees and I don't feel a thing. I am 6' 0", 185 lbs with a 36" waist and 30" inseam. I ordered an XL to wear over my clothes to work. I removed the hip armor (about 1.75" of padding) to make it fit more comfortable. The pants fit fine standing up, but once I get on my bike and bent my knees the cuffs creep up to my ankles exposing them a little so I should have ordered a XL long. Otherwise they are great all around pants so far. I wore them for the first time today without the liner and they were even more comfortable then with the liner. I shopped around for pants before buying and these are the best value for the money. A must get for any winter rider!

Caliber pants
Got the pants to serve mainly as overpants to wear on cold days over my work clothes. Have been very happy with fit, finish and craftsmanship. The thermal liner works very well (below 40 degrees is no problem) and is easy to install and remove. The pants are easy to take on and off and adjust easily for a snug fit around the waist. Would prefer elastic at the end of the pants leg over velcro, which has a habit of coming loose. Am not sure how pants would do as a primary layer during summer rides given it has not been warm enough yet to try it!

Stocky Guys Rejoice!
Wanted these to begin with since I already had a Cortech jacket (...and they were a good price), but they were sold out of my size. So I went ahead and spent a little more money on the Alpinestar Rhoda Drystar pants, they were the most awkward fit I've ever seen. If you've got long, tooth pick legs, and no butt, the Alpinestars will be snugger, and have a nicer finish to them; however, if you got some meat to you and want a warm, functional, properly fitting, fully adjustable pair of pants, get these. If they are sold out of your size, wait till they come in. As far as warmth, it's about as cold as it can get in So Cal, I'm riding anywhere from 80-105mph in 48 degree foggy weather at 6:00am, and its to warm for me to wear these with the liners over my jeans; tried it once and haven't needed to put them back in yet. Worst thing I could say about these is that they are a little bulky/puffy, but they are not supposed to be a fashion statement nor for racing, so who cares?

Too Short and Knee Pad Hurts
I tried every position to get the knee pads so they didn't hurt, to no avail. The waist is way too tight even with the tightening straps undone. It's very difficult to get the zipper up. I'm 6' tall and I ordered the regular version at 34” waist. When riding I look down and the back of the pants are halfway up my calf muscle! That is too darn short. I wear these when the weather gives me no choice but I prefer not to. I even went to far as to purchase the Icon Field Armor knee pads so I could wear Under Armor and jeans on not-so-cold days. These pants do the job but are by no means state-of-the-art.

Wonderful product, We purchased jackets last summer when we purchased our Gold Wing. Great 3 or 4 Season Pants!
These are fantastic pants...very adjustable in the waist, and the zip-out fleece liner is extremely warm. I've used these in temps down into the low 40s and found them very comfortable. With the liner out, they fit well over a pair of jeans or slacks, making them a good commuting choice. Size-wise, I'm a 38/34 in jeans and the XXL Tall model fit me perfectly.

Great pants, great value. I wear a 34 - 36 waist pant and have a ~33" inseam. I bought the XL-tall (long), so I bought a size bigger. It's a really good fit. The armor is positioned perfectly. These are definitely an over-pant. I wear them over jeans/docker-style pants. They can get a little puffy-looking, with the liner and the padding, and even though they look great. These pants are a very functional piece of commute/touring gear and are not meant to be anything other than that. I also have the Tourmaster Transition 2 jacket, which is a very nice combination. Nice water-proofing features. Lots of Velcro cinching (great around the ankle). Zippered legs and liner are GREAT! Nice armor padding all around.

Love These Pants
I got these really late in the short Alaska riding season. But I did get a chance to wear them several times. The fit was awesome and I bought one of the larger sizes. The pants fit comfortable with both the liner in and out. There was no bunching around the knees or groin and they move excellent. Very warm in the cold and I didn't even need the liner (short rides mostly). Cost was almost $75 cheaper than in a store here in Anchorage so I’m happy all around!

Excellent Winter Pant
These are perfect for the winter in Central Texas. Will be too warm during the summer however, I bought them for cooler riding weather. The fit is perfect using the size chart. The fly needs a bigger zipper and there needs to be a belt or velcro instead of snaps at the waist. And that's just me. I would like to see more reflective material and some silver and white accent options, too much black. Great pant for the buck. And I would buy again. Oh, I forgot the armor fits where it's supposed to be.

Great fitting pants for a big but short girl
I am 5'5" woman with a 28" inseam (on a good day!) and weigh about 220 pounds. So finding a good pair of cycle pants that fit me correctly took some time. All the gear all the time means as a new motorcyclist, I'm not willing to ride without all the safety gear possible. I purchased the men's 3XLL short version and they fit great. The adjustable knee protectors are a good feature, since I am so short. Very comfortable, would recommend to anyone in my category. My boss has same exact brand/model (different size 7 length) of pants and informs me they leak in crotch area under sustained rain. I have not ridden in rain yet, so can't give first hand advice on that.

Tour Master - Caliber Pants Great Pant!!
I have wore these pants riding everyday from early spring to winter. These pants keep you warm in the cold and cool in the hot weather if you vent the leg sides. The sealed zippers are great at keeping the water out and the velcro is of great quality too. I have put 5000 miles on my bike with these pants and all I have to say is what a great buy for the money. I have a 34/35 waist and ordered the 34-36 Mens large size; I have no issue with dress pants or jeans under these pants.

Tourmaster Caliber pants
I ordered the pants an extra size larger (3XL Tall) to fit specifically over jeans, etc. They're plenty big which is great since I'm a big guy (6'5” 270 lbs). Pant length is decent as well -(35”).
I've not been wearing the removable liner as the weather hasn't been that cold yet. I'm plenty warm without the liner while riding in temps at the mid/high 40's. Have ridden in light rain at moderate speeds and pants have performed well. No noticeable dampness, etc.
Great pants overall, I highly recommend these especially for us bigger guys. Few manufacturers are offering extra long pants for us bigger guys. Nice fit, windproof and, so far, rainproof. Thanks Tourmaster.

Excellent pants
I have owned these pants for a year now, I ride everyday rain or shine and these have stood up to the test. Water has never penetrated these pants while riding in down pours which is nice showing up to work dry. Cold weather riding is excellent; they are warm without the down to 40 deg anything below that I would recommend the liner. I have ridden below 30 deg with the liner and been very warm. Also over ankle boots in the cold weather even with the Velcro straps tied tight it will not keep the wind out. Summer riding I just wear jeans these tend to heat up to much in the summer. Unzipped you stay cool but what’s the point. For the money you cannot beat these. I also ordered a size larger than I wear to fit my work clothes under.

Caliber Pants XL Long
XL Long pants fit me very decently (I am 6.4, 206 pounds with 35 inseam). Considered getting Large size in Long but they were bit shorter than XL. I wish I had a chance to try both. Yet not too many pants come in Long sizes and the armor's height is adjustable. In my view these pants are comfortable in temperatures up to upper 60s. Very good quality, comfortable and affordable.

I love the pants, however sizing is incorrect. If you plan on wearing them as over pants as they are intended, you will need to go up a size for them to fit over your jeans etc. I had to send the first pair back and wait on a new pair of pants to show up a size larger. The pants are warm and waterproof after I applied a waterproofing spray. I have been riding in 30 degree weather and rain and the ride is still enjoyable.

Great Pants
Excellent material and design. Even has a sew-on zipper so as to link pants to jacket. Size is a little tight in knee and short in ankle - wear a 34x30 pant and got a large 34-36 waist. Too small for an over pant, but with the pile liner, I think they will be great in even cold weather. Meanwhile, I simply wear them as a pant and bring jeans to change into if appropriate. I certainly feel much safer and more comfortable on fall rides.

6500 mile cross-country and Canada ride
I just completed a 6500 mile ride wearing the Caliber pants and Transition II jacket. I can't say enough good things about them. I rode through heavy rain for hours and never got wet. Rode through the desert in 90+ heat and the jackets vent system was great and I rode through 32 degree cold and I stayed toasty. I put in 18 hour 1100+ mile days wearing the Caliber pants and they never caused me discomfort. It made those 2800 miles in 62 hours much more enjoyable. Just returned from trip, from Prescott, Az to Durango, Co. Sept 9th. Pants sized a little big but very comfortable. Just wear them with shorts when weather is good. Leave sides unzipped worked well. Hit a couple of rain storms and stayed dry. Did not need to try out liner. But I'm sure it works. For the $ hard to beat!

Tour Master Caliber Pants
These were pretty much just what I expected based on the online description and reviews written by others. I wear a 34 waist pants, so I ordered the large to be able to wear these over my regular pants. At first I couldn't get them on because of the lining and the tight waist. I doubt I'll need the lining as these are plenty warm, and the waist did adjust with the Velco side belts. I'm satisfied with the quality and price. They nicely complement the Cortech riding jacket I bought last year.

NIce construction for cooler weather
I received these pants and immediately noticed the great quality, very nicely made; looks are good, reflective material on the leg. You can remove the quilted liner in the inside, but the windbreaker liner inside the pants is not removable, for me this was the deal breaker, the pants against my bear skin in ATL 90+ temps felt like I was wrapped in plastic bags, not good. I will not hesitate to buy these pants for the cooler months of riding, but not for summer.

Good allround pants.
Like other Tourmaster stuff, these are a bargain. The armor is good and adjustable. The zippers allow them to vent pretty well. I have worn them in very warm weather down by the Snake and Grande Ronde River, in 90-100 degrees, wearing just shorts under them. This is not really what they are meant for but you could wear these pretty much everyday of the year. They also come with a liner, but I doubt I could get my pants underneath them with the liner. I am 5' 7" and I have a 33" waist, with a 31 " inseam. I have mediums and they are best worn as pants over compression shorts. I can wear pants but they are a little tight.

NICELY PADDED WITH GOOD MOBILITY, VELCRO BOOT CUFF ASSURES TIGHT FIT AND PAINT CAN BE REMOVED WITH BOOTS STILL ON. THEY CAN BE A BIT WARM AND I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU COULD EFFECTIVELY INSTALL VENTS. PANTS DO HAVE A TWO WAY ZIPPER ALLOWING YOU TO ZIP DOWN FROM THE THIGH. THEY ARE COMFORTABLE I WOULD BUY AGAIN.

Not waterproof
Overall I like the pants and am happy I bought them but when I rode in the rain they quickly filled with water, so much so that when I stood up the puddle that had accumulated poured out down my legs. It was a very heavy rain and I was riding for about 45 minutes but this is still unacceptable for a pant that claims to be waterproof.

Good Set of Pants
These Caliber pants offer awesome protection in the knees and hips and fit great too (true to size). My only complaints are that they are warm even with the side zippers opened up (So warm I bought the Cortech Mod Jeans as a replacement until the thermometer drops back off in fall) and that they make that "warm up pant" swish when you walk. Haven't had them on in the rain yet so I don't know how water proof/resistant they are but as far as safety and comfort are concerned they definitely have that covered.

Decent for the money
I’m 5'8" 150lbs and I normally wear a 31" waist and 29" inseam pants. I ordered the medium short, but they were too baggy. I exchanged them for the small, and they fit well now. The waist is snug but tolerable, thanks to the elastic in the waist. I do wish they had full length side zippers, but other from that these pants have pretty good features. I would probably buy them again.

Excellent pants
Purchased a large to fit over my pants and they were perfect. They seem well made and I have had no problems with the snaps as others have mentioned. Been using them everyday for about 2 months. Hopefully the velcro holds up. The pant legs unzip far enough for me to get them on and off easily over some decent size 11 boots. Even though I am 6'4" they were long enough, although an extra inch wouldn't have hurt, but at my height these are things I learn to live with. Good value.

Comfortable pants
In Idaho lower 30's these pants keep me warm. On the freeway comfortable up to 95 degrees (the warmest it has been so far). Stopped they get pretty warm but that can be expected. (I wear dress pants underneath adding to the warmth-I do notice they are much cooler when I have worn shorts underneath.) The knee protection is placement adjustable which is nice to make a comfortable fit in the riding position.

Good pants - a bit Hot
These pants do the job well. Comfortable and dry in the cold and rain. Fit is excellent - the zippers on the side make it easy getting in/out. My only complaint is that they are WARM. They become uncomfortable above 75. I would guess they would be miserable in the 90's (we don't get that worm 'round here). I would recommend them to those in a mild climate like here in Seattle - not in the hotter climates though.

Tour Master Caliber Pants
Just finished a 780 mile ride and am quite satisfied with these pants. They are very comfortable. All the velcro can be a bit of a pain however Tour Master has tried to address this with the ability to fold the velcro over when it is not needed. I wouldn't classify them as good for really hot weather as there is no venting.

These pants are well padded and waterproof. They come with an insulated, removable layer for the winter. The only problem I have had so far is that they seem a little short from the knee to the ankle. While standing they are plenty long, but when sitting on the bike and the knee pad positioned on the knee there is a gap between the top of my boot and the bottom of the pants..

I drive 70 miles round trip to work and these pants are the best. Rain or shine they keep me warm and dry. Yes they do get a bit warm on hot days but only when stopped for more than a few mins. I have yet to put the liner in and have ridden to work on 49 deg mornings and they were not to warm on the 90 deg day. They are very comfortable and fit well over my work pants. Good buy for the money.

Fit Just Right!
I bought the Large/Short (now there's an oxymoron for you!)size for my 36" waist 29" inseam, and they fit just right. A little snug at first, but I think they'll relax a bit over time. These pants were very comfortable on a 150-mile trip. Weather's been too warm to wear the liner, so I can't evaluate it. Lots of zippers for ventilation and ease of putting on--even over shoes. The "seat gripper" material kept me planted on the saddle. Highly recommended.

Pant Size and warmth.
I wear a size 36 and the xl 36-38 fit well. Could be a little longer. I've ridden 20 miles at 29 deg F without a problem without the liners. The liners make the pants very bulky. I've also ridden thru rain with good results. Stayed dry.

Good construction but tall sizes not long enough for someone with a 34 inseam. Also 5 minutes in the rain and the seat area leaks at the stitching. Other than these complaints, good overall.

Tour Master - Caliber Pants - Tall
The Caliber pants by Tourmaster are OK. I have two issues with them. First, in my opinion, they are pretty hot. I am not sure when you would ever need the liner? It would be nice if they were available in a color other than black. Second, the tall size could stand to be longer. I am 6'5" with a 36" inseam. I will continue to wear them, but consider them to be short. I own the XL - Tall. Overall, they are nice riding pants.

Nice looking pant. I agree with several of the reviews here. Pants definitely run too small for us American boys. The double velcro on the legs are always hooking to each other when putting on the pant. I felt you had to spend too much time trying to put these pants on.

The knee pads are adjustable and the fit is good. I took the insulated liner out and they are still a little warm to wear even at 40 degrees for me. Probably good if you plan on doing a lot of rain riding, otherwise I would recommend something lightweight and more flexible.

Tour Master really needs to learn how to measure their jackets and pants. Great features and great armor but gee these things are small. Once again I ordered a size larger than I normally wear so I could put electric heated garments under them, well that isn’t going to happen. Once again I will be wearing these during the warmer parts of the year. Please get a real tape measure and make some clothes for guys with big arms and legs.

Almost perfect
I like these pants, but they could be just a bit better. Fit and design is excellent overall. Fly system is overlapping and waterproof. Excellent height on side zippers so you can easily put them on and off with large boots. They are VERY warm and I ride daily in the 40's and sometimes colder. My only beef is that the side zippers are covered with a flap and that flap is fastened the whole length with velcro. For daily (not raining, not freezing) riding, I feel the velcro is a simple nuisance. I'd rather see a second, waterproof zipper for rainy / cold days.

Overall a good pair of pants
For context, I ride a '07 Gixxer 1000 and commute to work on it daily. My first pair of Tourmaster caliber pants. Initially a bit stiff and knee armor was uncomfortable. This is easily remedied by the adjustable armor pocket and the fit was excellent. Very rugged and durable. Despite pretty good airflow when moving, they can get a bit warm in very hot weather but otherwise reasonably comfortable pants for everyday use. They come with a liner that's great for cold mornings and easily removed. Clean up is easy and they dry quickly. Velcro on leg openings makes it easy to wear in or out of boots. They are good looking pants also. Rear zipper hooked up to all of my jackets with zippers. Good armor and padding. Only complaint would be the pockets. There aren't enough pockets. They get an "A" and are recommended.)

These are a great pair of overpants, that's how I wear them. I bought one size up from my normal jean size and they fit great. I wear a size 33 waist in jeans and bought the 34-36 short and they couldn’t fit better. I have a 1 hour commute in 35 to 40 deg weather and they are very warm with the liners in. I have yet to wear them without the liners. I have ridden in a 1hr rain storm and stayed dry. These are a top quality pant. The only negative I can find is the amount of velcro on the leg zipper flap---way to much for me.

Caliber Pants - Excellent Value
I deliberately bought these a size too big so I'd have room to wear jeans or long johns underneath. So the fit is a bit baggy but they are extremely comfortable on the bike which is what counts. The finish is excellent and judging from the materials and construction, I expect they will be very durable. The armor sits in the right places when riding. I wish the jacket/pants manufacturers would agree on a standard spec for the zippers that connect the two pieces.

Great! First ride with liners started at 39deg. ending at 68deg, about 420 miles. Comfortable up to the end except at 60deg+ when I stopped for fuel/food I could not wait to get the jacket off as it gets warm fast when you stop moving. Great value matching the Jacket. Looks and feels comfortable.

Tourmaster Caliber Pants
The test for these came on a 35 degree day in the month of March up here in Anchorage, Alaska. Following an unusually warm spell the temperature dipped once again but with a new bike to break in and dry, but very cold roads the temptation was too great. After a brisk hour long ride around town the only things that got cold were my face and hands. The only thing I would like would be some sort of adjustment to the fit thru the thighs as these run a bit big in size I ordered but this is a minor gripe. The pants are comfy, offer a great range of adjustment in the waist and the armor sits snugly where it should be-at least on me. I have yet to ride in the rain so I can't speak for water-resistance but I would recommend these for a great all-season pant.

good riding pants
Riding in the 40's I'm very comfortable, zero wind chill. I have not tried wearing them with the liner. what for? they are warm without it. I wear them over pants. Walking, the length is perfect. On the bike however, the knee pads seem to take up a lot of fabric making the bottom ride up well above my ankle. I have tall riding boots so it’s not a problem, even though I'd like them to be longer when I'm riding. Would be nice if the leg zippers opened higher, hard to get my boots down thru. All in all, for a long ride in the cold they are nice.

size up!!!
Quite impressed. Two things, though; closure snaps suck! They just don't hold very well, but it something that could be overlooked with a trip to a seamstress. And how nice of them to add extra snaps along with the pants. The other is i wear a size 32 waist, so i got the medium. The length is perfect, but the waist is super tight with jeans on so if you wear a certain size, add 2 inches on to that and consider a size up.

I got these to go with my Transition Series 2 Jacket (great jacket btw). I ordered short large, I’m around 38w and 30 inseam. Fit is just about perfect (I need to loose a lil belly ) but I can still wear pants under if I wanted to. With the supplied zip in quilted liner they come with they are good and warm for close to anything sane people would put them through. A really cool feature for the vertically challenged I enjoyed was the adjustable knee armor pockets, I can’t tell you how many pairs of pants I’ve tried on that the knee armor rode on my shins. My only problem was the cheap snaps they used, I had 2 fall off the first time I tried to take them off. Total bummer for such a cool product, oh well I can put better ones on myself.

These pants are perfect for the ATV rider, they are warm in the Winter and when removing the liner they are cool enough for Summer riding. I was anxious about the fit having ordered online but they fit perfectly. I rode in the cold (high thirties/low forties) with snow on the ground, which made it feel colder, and I was toasty warm. The only problem was that while riding I pulled my leg up along the side of the bike to refasten the velcro strap at the bottom and found that I had burned a hole in them from the pipes. There should be a fire resistant material running down the inside of the pant leg. These pants are baggy enough to touch the pipes if you are not careful.

Good Overpants
I wanted a pair of overpants for winter riding and chose the Tour Master pants because I have a jacket by that maker. They are relatively inexpensive for all the features, like adjustable knee armor and removable hip padding, waterproofing, removable insulating liner, reflective material. There are a couple of issues with the pants, however:
the leg zippers end around mid thigh, would have been much better if they were longer, so you could get them on easier. Also the zipper is somewhat small - small pull tab and small teeth, and the first time I tried them on one of them got jammed with the material behind it that seals out the weather. Same with the zipper fly. I wear a 33 waist in regular pants, ordered the large, 34 -36 waist, but found it very difficult to close the fly and snaps at the waist over my work pants. The legs are very roomy, but the waist is very snug. Haven't tried taking out the hip padding yet, that may help, but I figure I'd rather have the padding. Length is good, once seated on the bike they fall just short of my ankles. Occasionally a breeze finds its way in, but they are so warm this is a relief. All in all the pants are a little quirky, but nothing that can't be gotten used to. With my Tour Master Flex jacket and Caliber pants I've done my morning commute in 11 degrees, before the 50 mph windchill, and been perfectly warm. Definitely a cold weather pant, waterproofing alone makes them too hot for days over 60.

Nice pants and they will keep you warm. I have had them out down to 34 deg with the liner in and was warm and toasty. They do seem to run just a little small and need to be a bit longer. However they do have closers at the boots so you can keep the cold air out. Well made.

Nice quality, fit questionable
I ordered these pants for long highway rides down south. In the heat of the day and at speed, they aren't too hot. Once stopped, however, I get quite warm rather rapidly. The length of the pantlegs are also a bit awkward (I ordered the same inseam as my jeans). They seem to be the right length while standing, but in riding position they rise up over my boots leaving a nice gap for air and debris to reach my legs.
