Dan Chenango Forks,  NY Great overpants These pants are great. I wear them in 25 degree F weather and stay warm with only jeans underneath. One caution to others, make sure you buy them long enough. The length is fine while standing but when feet are on the pegs they get to high off the boots for me. I lucked out because my first pair fits my girlfriend and I bought a second pair for me.

Bob Kirksey,  KY Firstgear - HT 2.0 overpants I am 6'3", weigh 215 and bought the 36 tall. Fit very well. Had to take body armor out of the hips for better movement. I rode in 40 degree weather and didn't feel any cool air. Snug as a bug in a rug (haha). The only thing I could recommend is adding stirrups to the legs. Very impressed with the product for the cost. For winter riding I will never wear my chaps again!

Andrew lynbrook,  NY extend the season I checked these pants out in person. They fit well but glad I did in person. Went up one size, otherwise they will be a bit tight for over pants usage. They have decent armor (not CE) and are very comfortable. They keep warm at very cold temps. I would recommend to anyone.

Kenneth Taylor Mesa,  AZ First Gear Overpants Great pants, ordered normal pants size with no problem. Was concerned about the length as my inseam is 30 thus thought I should order the "short" length version. Called Firstgear and was advised the normal length would provide the proper fit. It gets cold here in AZ but as of yet don't need the liner. Great pair of pants can't wait for a good rain which may be a while. Saw some cheaper ones but these are worth the extra expense.

C.E. Martin Conway,  SC Firstgear HT 2.0 Overpants This is my second pair of Firstgear overpants. The HT is far better than my first pair. I also bought a pair for my wife. We both thought they were fantastic. Riding in 40 and 50 degree weather, in rain and snow, they were warm even without the liner. The leg can be tightly fit around your boots to keep out the updraft. The only down side is the way the knee pads stick out when you walk. They were definitely worth every penny.

MIchael Kernersville,  NC First Gear Overpant Air Great riding pants without liner and good to use in 55-90 deg weather, you may opt to use the liner below 55. Size: 44 waist was correct to size for wearing over jeans but the length was a bit long for me, however, I have somewhat short legs at 6'1" 265 lbs. I would recommend to anybody. Price, somewhat expensive but I feel the full length zip down feature is the way to go.

Jake Fort Collins,  CO Great pants at an affordable price. These pants fit great. I'm glad I went with the tall inseam length, they fit perfect when I'm on the bike. They are a little baggy through the leg, but that's to be expected in an overpant. I typically wear them over shorts and still bake in the 90+ degree heat, but better sweat than end up with road rash! Great customer service from Motorcycle Superstore and fast shipping. Will definitely make this my first stop for gear in the future.

William Womble Marion,  AR Firstgear - HT 2.0 Overpants The pants are great at 40 degrees and below for warmth. They are also completely waterproof in any type of rain(I know from commuting to work and school rain or shine). They have great durability. The only problem is the size. They are definitely baggy. The waist size is great but the legs are really wide and baggy.

Daniel Maliszewski South Amboy,  NJ I like 'em. Firstgear HT 2.0 overpants are outstanding. I am 6'2” 224 lbs and the 38 tall size was a good fit. Just a bit bulky till you sit on the bike, then they fade into complete comfort. Have ridden in for hours in 34 degrees with liner and had warmth and freedom. Have not tried them in the rain, but they are windproof. I ride with cotton long johns and light uniform pants under the overpants. Tried them with pads removed, with little difference so I keep the pads in. Superstore is very friendly and professional, and I will continue to purchase from them and recommend you do likewise.

Patty Denton,  TX Firstgear HT 2.0 Overpants I have a pair of Firstgear Overpants and love them. They kept me warm in Alaska/Canada, and are super-functional. When it came time to buy rain pants for my guy, I looked to Firstgear. These are perfect -- water repellant, thermal liner, and best of all a zipper that runs down the entire outer seam of the pants. Sure beats hopping around on the side of the road in the rain!! Great customer service from Motorcycle Superstore.

mototony Hudson Valley,  NY GREAT PANT I am going into my 3rd season with this pant. These are truly waterproof and with the liner installed they are very warm. I rode in HEAVY rain for 6 hours and the only part of me that stayed dry was my legs. They are a bit warm for hot summer riding but they are great for everything else. If you can only own 1 pant, this is it. If you can own 2 pants, get this and a vented pant. I am 6 foot with 33 waist and 34 inseam. Bought size 34T and they are perfect fit. They are holding up well. Would definitely buy again.

Sam Demoret Marietta,  GA Great Overpants Excellent quality. Very easy to put on or remove over pants and boots. True to size and very comfortable. I ordered one size larger to ensure room over thick jeans when the liner is in and it works great. More than roomy but possibly too much for some younger guys and up-sizing wouldn't be necessary. Not too hot even with liner up to mid 60's but still plenty warm enough down into the 30's. Haven't worn in heavy rain but they worked very well in light rain/misty foggy conditions.

Jason Ridgecrest,  CA Great cold wx pant Great over pants for cold weather and they keep me warm on 20min, 55mph ride to work in 25deg weather. They are sized correctly as over pants and do not need to be upsized like the jackets. I have a 32/34 waist with a 32 inseam and bought the 34/36 since some reviews said they were tight in the waist with the liners in. The larger size is a little big in the waist but everything else fits perfect. If I was not on the top end of the smaller size they would be too big. A little bulky like snow pants but very warm and windproof. Have not worn them in the rain.

James Ocala,  FL First Gear HT 2.0 Overpants Used just the overpants without the lining and was plenty warm at riding 75mph at 50 degrees. At 70 degrees, I was plenty overheated. The only problem is the snap, as mentioned by others, won't stay snapped but the metal hook closure right before the snap keeps pants from coming undone. I did change the armor (personal preference). Waist sizing was right on but I elected to go to the Tall length even though the chart said regular/normal length. This ensures my pants will never ride high enough on my boots to be a problem.

Trip Rocky Mount,  NC Great Temperature Range These overpants were a great find. I looked at a lot of others, but these had the fit I wanted. They will keep me warm all winter on my 30 minute commute (each way) every day. Ridden in them every day (except morning rain) for a month. They fit good. They look good AND the liner is not so hard to get in and out (other reviews said it was hard - I didn't think so). They are great!

Caleb Derby,  KS HT II Overpants I was skeptical when purchasing these pants. I purchased them for the morning commute which is about 30min (in Kansas). I just received them and put them on and immediately removed the knee/hip padding (which Velcros on/off)it was just a little too much with jeans on underneath. I went for a ride at 40 degrees F. They performed wonderfully I wasn't even cold at all on my CBR after an hour. My hands however were frozen. Hey they don't look very cool on a sport bike (It really looks like touring gear) but who cares when your warm!? You can easily slip them on and off while wearing boots. The full leg zippers work well, and have a full length tab to block any inflow of air. If I ever wear them out (which I doubt will happen) I'll be buying another pair. You won't be disappointed.

W. Taylor Issaquah,  WA Great pants and good value Have been wearing these without the liner to work and back (about 20 miles each way on the interstate) over my work pants with temperatures anywhere from the high 30s to the mid 50s, and have been plenty warm. Size fits right on. Only nit-picky issue is that the snap at the waist comes undone occasionally, but overall I'm very happy with these pants.

Jonathan Filkins Dover,  PA Firstgear - First Rate! These overpants have been paired with a Kilimanjaro 4.0 jacket and are a great "system" for cold/wet weather. Regularly traveling over 50 miles(each way)to work, in the mid-Pennsylvania area, the garments have yet to disappoint. The lowest temperatures, so far, have been in the upper 30's and there has been no discomfort. I should point out that I ride a Goldwing with a Texas windscreen and am well protected, so I cannot comment on the suitability directly facing the wind. The suit is well fitted to my ordered size and should last a very long time. While the total cost (for the two garments) was in the $400.00 range, it's a strong value for the features and the rider protection. Frankly... go for it!

John Dameron Lake St. Louis,  MO HT Overpants Best part so far is the great length of the tall size. Finally a pant that stays down over your boots while you're on the bike. They fit to size, with the idea that you will have some pants on under them, plenty of room. Took the liner out and good and comfortable down to 60 degrees so far. There is a zipper attachment that looks like it should fit the jacket, but nothing on the jacket. Don't get that, so took it off. Would like some pockets on the front.

Oscar Charlotte,  NC Decent overpants I bought the HT 2.0 pants to go with the Kilimanjaro 4.0 Jacket. The pants match well. They are true to size, and the waist closure is a solid hook and a snap. The pant-long zippers are a great benefit for pulling them over pants or shorts with boots on. The knee protection is however disappointing; more a cushion between your knees and the bike than anything else. The pants are also warm; too warm for hot weather. Like the K jacket, the fabric is somewhat light but no problem in high speeds. These are solid pants, but a tad expensive for the product.

Dave Dershin Fairbanks,  AK Firstgear - HT 2.0 Over-pants great in Alaska These over-pants have kept me toasty warm without the liner in on the brisk 33 degree mornings we've been having this fall (August-September) up in Fairbanks Alaska. As for keeping me dry, I rode in the rain all through July & August and the pants make you feel like you're wet on the bottom, but your clothes are dry when you take the over-pants off. I wear a 36 and ordered a 36. The liner makes the pants a bit tight when wearing them over jeans. If you plan to wear the liner over clothes often I would recommend going up a size. If you don't plan to wear the liners very often you can order true to size. So far I have not needed the liner during my 30 minutes morning ride even when the temperature is in the mid 30s. I could not figure out how the zipper connector connected to my Firstgear Kilimanjaro Jacket. I think you have to sew the other half of the zipper into the liner of the jacket. I decided not to deal with it. I don't know if these pants would be cool enough when temps get into the 70s. I tend to ride home from work in my jeans in the warmer afternoons. All in all I like the pants.

James Woodstock,  NB Another winning point for First Gear I've only been out in one rain storm, and when I arrived at my destination, I thought the pants had leaked (I took the liner out because it is summer and hot) because my bottom felt cold and possibly damp. When I peeled the pants off, I noticed that I was completely dry (the Kilimanjaro coat also performed 100%). The fit on these pants are very good and the manufacturer clearly considers the fact you will be wearing them over normal clothing, so order the size you normally wear for pants. The waists are adjustable as well so if you have something bulky on, you can dial the pants in perfectly.

Dmitry Kuzmenko Bothell,  WA Review for Pants Overall, high quality and I’m satisfied. I could mention a few minor things that can be improved potentially. 1. Side pockets: when they are closed, it's generally rather difficult to open them, at the same time, they can easily accidentally open. 2. They can hardly be used as pants (I mean, without removing them after ride), because they are too noisy.

Bill McKnight Helena,  AL Perfect I have tried many different riding pants solutions and with the purchase of the Firstgear HT 2.0 Overpants I have finally discovered the perfect solution for commuting and efficient touring. Since these go over my jeans, I can ride to work and back in my normal attire, jeans, without having to change pants, just removing the overpant. They work great without the lining for rain and cool weather, and since they have the optional lining I can still ride when it gets cold. The fit was perfect, with the zip up legs they are very easy to get on and off, and they don't look nearly as goofy as they do in the pictures. For touring, all you need is jeans and the HT2.0 and you're ready to ride across a vast span of weather conditions. I only wish I had an upper body solution as perfect as these.

Needless to say I'm very impressed with the pants. I could not feel any air coming through at all and the comfort was great. I'm 6'2", weigh about 200, and wear 36x34 pants. I bought 36 Tall, and the cuff of the pants comes right down even with my ankle bone while sitting on the bike and the 36 fits right over my pants. I do have to remove any of my electronics off m

Sam McReynolds Brentwood,  Prince Edw HT Tall Overpant I purchased a pair of these pants in 2003 for myself and wear them in cold and wet weather. I loaned them to my son and he complained of them being to short, so he received a pair for Christmas. These have some updates over the previous pants that have made them better. It's hard to make a great product better! Not sure what kind of over pant to buy? Look no further!

Hal Bend,  IL Warm pants Winter in Bend OR is cool - like 10 - 15 degrees in the morning and these pants keep me warm - with the liner in - I ordered the same length as my Mesh Tex but these pants tend to ride up on my boot a bit more. All in all - a little bulky but they serve my needs.

Dave H Clovis,  CA HT Overpants These are great pants--very warm and easy to wear. They have an awful lot of velcro, which keeps the full zippers warm, but can be annoying. Still, they are easy to put on and I highly recommend them.

Keith York,  British Co HT Tall Overpant 2.0 Awesome buy. I've only had them for 2 weeks so far, but I'm impressed. I bought these for winter commuting more than anything else. I commute 600 miles a week, and needed something warm. I have used them on 5 mornings between 34F-40F and have no complaints at all. My initial thoughts were that they were too long, but ended up fitting perfectly once on the bike. I'm 6'2", weigh about 230, and wear 38x34 pants. I bought 38 Talls, and the cuff of the pants comes right down even with my ankle

Bill Castle Rock,  IL HT Overpant 2.0 - Awesome Ok, I live in Colorado and for the most part you can ride year round (if you're dressed for it). So far, I've ridden in 32 degree temperatures and with these pants I don't feel a thing!! They keep me very warm and dry. Did I mention I've ridden in the rain as well? ;) Great pants and great purchase!

Rich V. Santa Cruz,  FL Firstgear HT 2.0 overpant The pants are very high quality - I was pleasantly surprised. I wear a size 34 Levis and ordered the size 34 in these pants and that was perfect. I got them for cold rides, although where I live it doesn't much below 48-50 in winter. Still, these pants are warm and rugged, yet very cool looking. I would have given it 5 stars if it has some vents in the legs for when it gets warm, but otherwise I am very satisfied. Legs zip easily and waist is adjustable. No water or cold in, and it helps wick bo

Blaine Anniston,  AL ht pant... Great pants for the money. I rode in the rain for several hours on multiple days on a cross country ride and they never allowed any water through. (no rain suit necessary) only drawback is if you ever removed the liner it is very tough to re-install them in the correct position. Good to mid 30's on BMW GS wearing only jeans underneath.

Buckshot Lincoln,  Northwest Firstgear HT Overpant 2.0 I purchased these pants about a month ago. My jeans size is 34x32, and the 34 regulars in this pant fit fine. On my Suzuki DR650, the pants ride up nearly over the top of my boots (nine-inch tall combat boots), but I think that's mostly due to the seating position of that bike. I've worn these pants with just shorts underneath in 93 degree weather, and found them to be warm but not too hot. They're plenty warm in mid-50s weather with jeans underneath and no liner. They work well and look good pa

Jesse Chicago,  MD Firstgear HT Tall Overpant 2.0 A little on the baggy side, which doesn't look too sexy, BUT they're super comfortable, warm, safe (good padding), fit great over your pants, and maybe best of all, are incredibly quick and easy to put on and take off--even with shoes on. And they're long enough! Hallelujah! Haven't tried them in the rain yet...

Lee S. Tacoma,  CA Firstgear HT Overpant 2.0 If you like to ride in the NW, you're gonna' be out in the cold in the mornings! I work in an office so jeans are out for me at work. These over pants keep me warm as toast in those thin slacks I have to wear. I like them! I've got a Firstgear Riding suit as well and use it below 50 degrees. Just roll them up and stuff them in a backpack and the warm evening ride home in the 70's is great. Only gripes are that the ankle flaps are a little awkward to fasten, and the legs seem a little long, but y

Greg Hillsboro,  CA HT Overpants This is the first and last pair of overpants I will ever need. I did much shopping around before making my purchase and was skeptical that for the price of these overpants, the quality would not be so the best. I made the right choice in investing in these pants. I'm commuting at 70 MPH on the highway and do not feel the cold weather one bit. If you are shopping around, look no further. This is the pant for you.

Chris Centreville,  MA HT Tall Overpant 2.0 Pants are very comfortable to wear. I have not had a chance to test them out in the rain. I would recommend them for use for 75 F and below. They’re much to warm for temps in the 70s and warmer.

Keith Peterman Carmel,  TX HT Overpant Just received a request to review these pants from Motorcycle Superstore, funny thing I was just thinking about how well these pants worked for me this week, as it’s the coldest its been all season. I bought these pants for dual sport riding in colder weather as I could not find anything as suitable to buy and I looked at a lot of different stuff. This week I worked a national enduro (Quicksilver) and luckily I had my First gear Overpants with me and chose to use them to get to the 2nd checkpoi

George Koziol Omaha,  NC HT Overpants I ride a lot in the winter. If there is no snow we are riding. Got my overpants just in time to take them on a ride. We went out on a cold December day that turned colder and decided to rain. I didn't feel a thing, the pants along with my Kilimanjaro jacket kept me as warm as I wanted to be.

Jim Dunkerson Pasadena,  Nova Scoti Solid choice Being the kind of fool you see riding in January in the Mid-Atlantic in 30 degree weather, I've been pleased with these. They've kept me quite warm through some cold riding days. I haven't been through any major downpours in them, but through some showers they have been waterproof. They fit true to size in the waist, but are a little long. One pick--I wish they had some reflective material on them.

Ben Boyle New Bremen,  Nova Scoti HT Pants I have used them twice, I work 3rd shift and rode the motorcycle to work and temperatures were somewhere in the 30 degree range. My legs stayed toasty warm, I'm very impressed. The fit was a little large. I am a size 34 pants and the size 34 fits good over top my clothes. I'm 5'9" tall 185 lbs.The pants are a little long for me, but otherwise I am very satisfied. Down at the bottom cuff you can pull the velcro tight around your boot, so the length is not that much of a problem.

Roger M. Cookeville,  CA Not cold in cold weather I like to ride in the winter when the temps are above freezing. Chaps just did not do the job. I found these overpants to be the ansewer to my winter riding days. They are easy on and easy off. My jacket lets in a little cool air on rides, but not these pants. These pants seal up tight so no cool air enters. I ordered to my jean size and the fit is great. I would highly recommend these overpants.

PoodlePumper Kennesaw,  CA Whoopeee These are great pants, but they do fit true to normal pants size...I made the mistake of ordering one size large and now they don't fit perfectly (my fault obviously). The pants are great - with and without the liner. In cold weather, I only wear shorts under the pants/liner and stay plenty warm.

Radek Seattle,  TX If you ride in rain and cold weather get these. I'm a all weather rider. Seattle gets plenty of rain and cold windy weather so I wanted a good pair of over-pants to wear over my work cloths. Got to say these do a great job of keeping me dry and warm, even without the liner. Get the size you normally wear. They are large enough to compensate for whatever type of pants or jeans you wear underneath. The ride is very comfortable and legs do not feel restricted. These are truly a great buy.

Michael Honolulu,  ME Works great, fits great, just a little warm The HT Short Overpant fits my short, stout frame rather well and is comfortable while both on and off the bike. The quick-release belt could use a little more adjustability because I lost a little weight since purchasing the pants and now I can't get a really snug fit. The armour makes it a little bulky and it gets a bit warm (but then again, I'm in Hawaii) but it works well in the rain and the full length zippers on each leg make it easy to take on and off. The only feature missing is the abili

Pete S Clifton,  CA Great fit, finish and functionality Bought these pants to wear over my work clothes for commuting. Turned out great. They come with a liner for those cold days (or if you want to wear just the overpants). Without the liner but with jeans underneath I felt really comfortable on a 40-55 degree day. If you wear size 34 pants, get size 34 overpants, they have enough room to go over jeans/pants/whatever. A great buy!
