Steve Cary,  IL Great pants These are great pants and fit me well. The price was attractive and I am glad I got them. That being said it's hard to judge the durability, since I've only had them a month. Nothing about the pants gives me any reason to doubt that they will not hold up well; it's just an observation on judging durability over a short length of time. I would buy them again and have just ordered the Kathmandu jacket based on my limited experience with the pants.

Mark Vancouver,  BC Needs a couple of fixes So, I went on a 400 mile adventure ride a couple of weeks ago. High mountain passes. Fast loose forest service roads. rain storms, snow storms, etc. After being in heavy rain for about 30 minutes the rain did start soaking the crotch area. The ONE AREA I would not want the rain to soak through. The stretchy material there for the benefit of movement is less waterproof. Bad tradeoff for a pant with claims of being 100% waterproof. It would be nice to have at least one pocket too. Overall it's a great pant but not sure how pleased i would be if I had to do a long journey with lots of variable weather. I've washed in some Nikwax so I'll have to do a few more storms and see if there's an improvement.

Robert Nordmeyer Marysville,  WA Kathmandu Pants Excellent fit and comfort. They keep the legs warm and dry. Looks really sharp with matching jacket. Do require taking boots on/off, but none of the leakage and no trying to match up a long velcro overflap like the ones with zippered legs. I wear 36" waist jeans, and got size 36. Perfect. Leaned over bike to secure luggage and burned a small hole in outer layer only of one knee. Just because its silver (mine sand /silver combo) does not mean its heat proof!

Dean Becker Rome,  GA Kathmandu Pants These are pants that match the Kathmandu Jacket, which I also recently purchased and am very happy with. I'm glad I spent the money on these - for not much more than a designer pair of jeans, these are great for the cool and/or wet days. I've had these on in both the cool and wet and they are quite comfortable, as is the jacket. I haven't had a need for the cold-weather liners, but I imagine they will keep you quite toasty. My only two gripes are: 1) they are not easy to put on over boots (I need to put the pants on, put the boots on, then fit the lower pieces around the boots), and 2) they don't have pockets. Even a little one for your keys would be nice. These are minor complaints though. They are well constructed and very comfortable. I'm very pleased with these pants.

Bill Little Rock,  AR Kathmandu Pants I am 6'1", 185 lbs, wear a 32x34 jean. I ordered the 32 reg. The waist and fit of the pants is great, and the knee pads sit where they should on and off the bike. However, I wish they made a 32 tall (that kept the knee pads in the proper place) because the pants tend to hike up while riding. Definately need a waterproof full length boot to cover your lower leg in bad weather. There are no pockets either, so make sure your jacket has plenty. Good pants, would recommend.

Jeffrey Thomas Oak Harbor,  WA Great pants for the PNW I bought these to match the Kathmandu Jacket. I like the fit and the suspenders make it easy to adjust for a relaxed fit. Great comfort and keeps you warm. I have not yet tried them in wet weather to see how they will hold up. I wish the leg zippers went higher up to ease getting in and out of them.

TJ Talluto Carson City,  NV Trip Results: 4000 miles in 30 days I'm 6'4" and 200 lbs. These were very comfortable and fit well. I don't like to be constrained by thick clothing when I ride, so I typically wear gym shorts or a ski thermal when riding. Therefore, I didn't size up - I got a 34 Tall - and the extra length was excellent. I did some hiking in these pants and thought they were very comfortable to wear around (kneepads removed), not just on the bike. No bunching and no chafing. The contours were natural. It was easy to remove/install the liners and pads. These were good at sealing out the cold and wet weather. I was comfortable between 45 and 80 degrees. These pants were way too hot for temps above 80 - the vents were inadequate even without the liners. My only real complaint is that there were NO pockets! I couldn't even fit my keyring into the vent slots.

Larry Scottsdale,  AZ great quality, fit, and features I bought these pants to complement the Kathmandu jacket - both are of high quality construction and fit is very good. Features abound, with plenty of pocket storage, rain collar, snaps to connect to jacket, and zip out liner. I've only a few rides on them, but they are comfortable and seem extremely durable. I haven't had to use the liner, and given our Arizona summers these will be a 3-season pant here in the Southwest. First Gear has won me over with this combo - highly recommended.

Steve Brixey Placitas,  NM Great pants! I really like the pants. I wear them daily during my commute to work in what has been 30-35 degree weather. I only wish that they had zippers that went at least up to the knee. I've had a hip replacement which makes it difficult to get them on and off with such short cuff zippers.
