Greg Houston,  TX Firstgear - HT Air 2.0 Overpants These are very versatile pants. They have liners that are easy and fast to remove or install. Another option that is not on many pants is the double zippers on the legs. This is great for the hot climates. It allows you to vent your legs at the top in the heat. These are great all around pants at a great price.

Todd Waldorf,  MD Very Versatile Overpants These are very well designed pants I wear jeans under them in the cold with the liner to 38 degrees and in the heat with liner removed and shorts under. I like these a lot and the only thing I can fault is the plastic 'd' ring on the adjusters sometimes digs in the waist. I really like the full length zippers for on-off with boots plus access to jeans or shorts pockets underneath. A real winner!

Zak Kellogg Birmingham,  AL A very nice overpant. I really like these pants. They fit well over my regular pants. When riding to a destination these give me the ability to ride safely and have regular clothes on under them. When going on long rides with no destination I often wear them with just compression shorts underneath. This is also helpful when it's very hot. My only complaint about these pants is the crotch to waist height is very long. Meaning, if you aren't very tall this dimension is awfully long. This seems to hold true for all of first gear's pants. That's why they get a 3 on fit, it's not 1955, and people don't pull their pants up to their chests. Waist size seems to be right on. I'm a big first gear fan and these pants have been great.

Scott Beaverton,  OR Firstgear HT Air 2.0 Overpants Fit and finish as advertised. The snap at the waist does not always stay snapped. Protection pads are not great, pretty simple but can always be replaced. For the price they are as expected. Above all, Motorcycle Superstore service made shopping here awesome.

Outbackwack Boston,  MA Firstgear - HT Air 2.0 Overpants I bought these after shopping around for various textile pants. I wanted something that I could use for 3-season riding. The pants are a bit baggy but are very comfortable when riding. The armor is basic and I upgraded the hip armor. I wish the pockets were cargo style and lower on the leg; they cannot be accessed easily while riding. The liner is way too warm for summer riding. The full zippers make easy work of installing/removing with full boots on. I bought one size up to wear over pants and that fits ok. When temps are around 70* I wear shorts underneath and they are just as comfortable. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend them.

Doug Avenel,  NJ very pleased I can second what other people wrote about the snap, it really does not matter though because of the clasp. I am extremely satisfied with these overpants, remove the liner and you get a nice breeze when wearing shorts or less. They are true to size, I was actually thinking they would be baggy but they fit well. length is a little long which is what you want anyway. Tough construction, the long zippers make them easy to get in and out of, also a plus that it is a double zipper and you can zip down a bit to get into your underneath pants pockets. I have not tested in cold weather, but I do have my lined chaps for that. I ride in to work and it is great that I can just put these on over thin dress pants, you get the extra protection from the padding too. Riding to the beach? wear your swimsuit under - it's very easy and quick to gear down.

Jay K Green Bay,  WI Perfect For Me I purchased my Overpants about a month ago after shopping both offline and online. I needed a pair of warm, waterproof pants for my longer trips and riding home late nights after work. I have ridden in them in 40 degree weather several times. Construction is excellent as is the fit. I'm a size 40 x 30 short. Plenty of room at the bottom to cover my boots. All zippers work fine as do the velcro closures, snap and hook. The inside liner is easy to remove then reinstall if caught on wet roads or colder rides. If you’re looking for a first class, warm and dry overpant I would recommend this product without hesitation.

John W Ipswich,  MA Great overpants These are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that would protect my work pants (business casual) from road grime. The zip-out liner works excellently as a windbreaker, but I have not yet evaluated its performance in being water resistant or proof. The pockets are great as are the reach-through zippers to get to my pants pockets. I consider myself fortunate in having found this.

Ken Worley Castle Rock,  CO Excellent pants I haven't had a chance to try these in real hot weather yet, but they don't seem too heavy without the liner. They're pretty good in colder temperatures with the liner in. Pretty comfortable overall. I ordered them 2 inches larger in the waist than my normal pants and they fit over jeans nicely. Problems with the snap are a thing of the past. Now there's a heavy duty fastener that prevents any accidental popping open. I would have preferred heavier armor in the knees and hips, but I think this will do. It's nice that the side zippers will open from the top or bottom in case you want to let a little air into the top or try to get into a pocket.

Steve Durham,  NC Decent Pants I would recommend these pants. Although I would order one size larger than your jeans. They are long to walk in but I wanted them for riding and they're just right for that. As others have said the snap is useless and bigger front pockets would be great but not a big deal. Even with the mesh I think they'll get fairly hot when sitting during the summer but the protection is worth the trade off. Overall I would buy these again.

Steve Durham,  NC good pants I wanted a pair of mesh overpants and tried Fieldsheer first. To get the correct waist size they were way too long. These had an inseam just right in relation too the waist. Like most reviews I find the snap inadequate at best, but the hook makes up for it. Probably be a little warm in really hot weather but I wear shorts and they should be fine. Overall very pleased.

Justin woodstock,  MD Great year round These are good for anything above 20 degrees. I've been riding in them in all kinds of weather and they keep my legs warm, and I know they will keep me cool in the summer. Pricey, but worth every penny to ride safely. If you have some spare coin, get the upgraded armor for the hips and knees.

Rick Warmels Spencerville,  IN Great Pair of Overpants I'm a new rider and wanted something to wear over my work clothes to provide some protection. These over pants fit the bill. They provide adequate protection and during the cold fall weather, they did a great job at keeping my legs warm. The full length zippers in the legs make getting them on and off a snap. Looking forward to seeing how they work during the heat of the summer over a pair of shorts.

Ed Weatherford Cocoa,  FL Firstgear - HT Air 2.0 Overpants Great pants - I wear them for every ride. Look good; feel good, not to bad to get on/off. Minor quality issue with the finish - left front pocket has a big hole in it. Also ankle Velcro catches on everything.

Kirk Windsor,  CA A good warm weather pant. I commute 140 miles round trip to work. At 5AM when I start, the average temp in the San Francisco Bay area (spring/ summer)ranges between low 40s' to low 60s'.Return home commute temp ranges between 70s' to 100s'. These pants are so versatile and comfortable I would recommend them to anyone who rides in cool too hot climate. They perform like a champ! They are water proof but haven't tested that yet. Could use more reflective material and better pockets for storage. Otherwise.....it's all good.

gerald mcdermott castle rock,  CO Almost great pants I love the pants except the darn snap at the top of the pants won't stay snapped. Thankfully, the main item to keep the pants closed is a clasp. The snap is secondary. How tough is it to get a snap that stays snapped. Other than that, the pants fit well, look good, and keep me warm on those cool Colorado mornings.

Barry Kruse Salem,  MA Decent pants. The snap issue is fixed. Several reviewers have suggested that the waist snap isn't effective, but this has been fixed in the pants I recently purchased (July '08). There's a hook at the waist instead of a button, Very solid. The fabric for these pants is nice in hand - pliable, comfortable, and flexible. But because of that, I'm dubious about the actual durability in a slide, but I've (fortunately) not tried them out in this regard. The knee and hip pads will be useless. They're simply light foam and should be replaced for real protection. Pockets are nice. Length was good (I ordered tall for a 35" inseam. They're long when walking, barely long enough when riding.) The side zips, which should ideally make put-on/take-off easier, are lame. Liner and outers have separate zippers, all of which are too small gauge to make them convenient. I end up removing shoes, putting pants on. Otherwise, you're screwing around with four long, annoyingly small zippers. Well ventilated when riding and comfortable. I have not ridden with the liners yet, All-in-all, good (not great) pants.

Stephen Roman Valencia,  PA Mesh Overpants I'm an everyday rider from April 1 through October 31. Work in an office and have a 100 mile daily round trip. For me, it's like to Moto journalists say, All the gear, all the time. So I would not dream of riding anywhere, much less 100 miles in significant traffic without proper clothing. Cold weather is easy to dress for but the heat is another matter. The pants do a fine job. The fit is excellent and the features very convenient. Recommend the mesh strongly.

Scott Beaverton,  OR Firstgear HT Air 2.0 Overpants I just returned from a 3 day 1150 mile trip and wore the Air 2.0 pants the entire trip. For the price I recommend them highly. Like some of the other reviews I read, the snap pops open pretty easily, but the snap is the secondary fastener and I just ignored it. The knee and hip pads are pretty thin, but I figure I can upgrade (they are in pockets and look easy to replace) to better protection and still have a good value in these pants. Fit was great, as advertised. The weather was very hot and it was nice to have the mesh pants with cooling and protection on the road. A good value and would buy them again.

Rocci Hildum Wenatchee,  WA Love To Ride? Want to Stay Cool This Summer? Want To Look Cool? Gotta Get The Firstgear HT 2.0 Overpants!!! I love my new bike (a scooter technically) and I love riding it almost everywhere, especially in the warm sunny weather. But being an inexperienced rider I was not about to ride with shorts on, so I got the over pants. I wear shorts on underneath, strip off the pants when I reach my destination, and can remain, and feel, and look, cool. The pants go on easily over my shorts or jeans. There are two front pockets and one rear pocket with zip closures. The dual direction side zippers make them easy to get in and out of. The removable rain liner is perfect for that really cool or damp weather. The sturdiness and durability of the pants is traditional Firstgear quality. I don't have any complaints at all. This was a great purchase.

Kip L. fresno,  CA Bad Snap! Like several reviewers, mine too has a bad snap. I love the fit of these pants, but they won't stay snapped. I'm going to replace it myself rather than return them for exchange because other than the snap, I really like these pants. Other reviewers have said they got their regular size but I went a little over. Normally I wear a 34 inch waist and 34 inseam. I bought the 36 long and the fit over jeans is perfect.

Robert R. Seaside,  CA Great, but missing a bit... I recently had to replace my Hein Gericke overpants due to a failure with the zipper that kept them closed in front. After doing some research I happened upon these. They are great for high to mid temperature. For low temperature even with the liner they can get sorta cool, but not freezing. The waterproofing of the liner works amazingly well. The only thing I miss from my Gericke's are the cargo pockets. Although I can use the higher pockets on these, when riding if I have bulky items in my pockets they compress against the hip armor and drive into my lower abdomen. All in all these are great pants and I would recommend them to any rider, just make sure you have some place to store bulkier items.

Dave Madsen Odessa,  MS HT Air 2.0 overpants I like the way the zippers zip/unzip all the way to the waist and the way they fit, however the snap does not work all that well on these pants. And the hip pads that come with them are like having nothing at all. They should at least put a better pad in the hip portion of the pants. They are well constructed and nice to wear here in Florida when the weather is hot.

Kevin Gerlock San DIego,  CA First Gear HT Air Tall Overpant 2.0 I am very pleased with these pants mainly because they are tall. The knee pads are actually where they belong as opposed to up on my thighs. I am 6'2", 200lbs. and the 36" waist is just right. I have not had them in the rain yet because it hasn't rained this season. I have ridden when it was 22 degrees F and the pants were reasonable for about 30 minutes. If my commute were longer I would layer differently.

Chet C. Maumee,  FL HT AIR Overpant 2.0 The HT Air 2.0 over-pants are great for me. Full length side zippers make it a breeze to step in and out the over-pants, even with boots on. The sizing seems true...I ordered the same size I wear in regular pants, and the over-pants fit over jeans or kakis perfectly. I wear a 31 inch inseam, and ordered the regular length over-pants, which are just right (they should be an inch or two longer than your inseam due to the riding position). I even wear them with shorts under them on really hot days.
