Kevin Clark Morganton,  NC Great riding Pants I have been using these without the liner each time I ride. They are comfortable and keep me from overheating in the 90 degree weather. The knee pads are adjustable. Zip out legs work well. Overall I am pleased. Will be looking forward to wearing the liner and riding in the fall. Fit was true to my size.

Edwin Hulsey New Market,  AL Four Season Mesh Pants The pants overall are great. The only problems that I have with them are that they are about 2 inches too long and the waste band snap is too easily unsnapped.

Mark Hyduke bishop,  GA Fieldsheer - four season mesh pants Excellent riding pant. Great ventilation which is needed here in steamy Georgia. A little baggy in the rear. I'm going to have a tailor take them in a bit and shorten the length so they fit into my riding boots. Hard to adjust the knee pads but you only have to do it once.

DLC Cortez,  CO FieldSheer - 4-Season Mesh Pants Fit was intentionally loose (size 34) to allow for liner and wearing over Levis or shorts. Great fit for M-C mounted position, except for 1.) the difficulty of placing the kneepad cups properly; 2.) the waistband snap keeps popping open with the slightest movement; and 3.) the waistband inner security button is nearly impossible to button and un-button. To make the kneepad cups fit properly the waistband must be worn very high above the belly-button and hip-bones, and held in place with stout suspenders, with the crotch up tight. This makes 'use' of the front zipper for 'comfort stops' very awkward, sloppy, and painful. Partial 'takedown' in this case is necessary. Side-leg zippers are excellent for pain-free ingress and egress with boots on. Velcro ankle closures work marvelously, and can be left open for more ventilation. This pant will work marvelously if I can jerry-rig a way to keep the waistband snap from always popping open -- perhaps sew-over an additional Velcro strap. I cannot rate "Durability" until riding with the product a lot more, but this review would not be accepted without an entry thereto.

Kevin Killington,  VT Good hot-weather compromise Also, as another user noted, the waist snap is a poor choice of closure; if I have the waist nice and tight to discourage movement, it pops when I try to swing my leg over my bike (if it didn't already pop when I reached up to open the garage door). If I loosen the waist enough that the button doesn't pop, I don't feel that the pants will stand any chance of staying put in a get-off.Overall, I like the pants for times when I'm using the bike as transportation and leather pants just won't cut it at the end of the ride. However, I think they provide limited protection at best and could use a few improvements to upgrade their performance in that regard.

JM Chicagoland,  IL Excellent Pants - Bad Snap These are excellent pants. I wear these when I teach and they are far more comfortable than standard pants. The largest issue with these is the weak and feeble snap closure, and the fact that they cannot be equipped with a belt for a sturdier fit (no belt loops). I called Fieldsheer and recommended that they switch the snap to a double enclosure, and add belt loops in the same color as the pants.

John VanVlack Rapid City,  SD Fieldsheer - Four Season Mesh Pants I bought these pants in mid April, after I saw the ones my son purchased. Then headed out from Rapid City SD. to Kansas City MO. on my R1200GS. With jeans underneath I was comfortable in temps from 40-82 on the way down. Then on the way home I put the liners in by themselves in cold rainy weather for 3oo miles. I am very impressed with this setup! The lines were damp but I never felt a chill. Can't wait to try them in the hot summer months.

Wendell Amstutz Hubbard,  OR Good all around pants, still not for all conditons though I got the mesh pants for protection for commuting (1/2 h to 1 hr) and a 3 day trip. They seemed too long but on the bike the knee pads com up to correct placement. The quilted lining is strictly for freezing weather, as we went over Satiam Pass at 32 degrees, and I was not cold without the liner after puting on my light rain gear over these pants. The liner fits OK but makes it pretty bulky for me. I prefer to use rain pants over top. For here in Oregon I don't expect to use the liner at all since I don't ride under 40 degrees normally. Last week at 94 degrees, I was hot even with the mesh, and needed to stand up to get off the seat frequently after 1/2 hr to cool off my crotch. I love the full leg zippers for taking off fast at the office. Silver color is good for visibility and cooler in heat, but gets dirty fast. I had bought Fieldsheer’s rainproof pant which was on sale but returned it for these because they were too bulky and hot for summer. I'm glad I did. The others fit me better but would have been way to hot for warm or hot weather.

Josh V. Hill City,  SD Ultimate riding pants! Pros: Move a lot of air, especially on an un-faired bike Easy on and off with side zippers Good armor, with a good range of adjustment Thick, warm liner, with full side zips Cons: A little long when walking around, but a good length while riding A little difficult to pick a size without trying them on, I normally wear a size 40/32, but a 40 in the Fieldsheer’s was way too large, even with the liner. I ended up with 36’s. The liner adds just enough bulk that the shells are slightly large without them, and slightly snug with them. Some sort of clip would be nice instead of the snap on the fly, as it tends to come undone. The zipper attachment was opposite that of both my Joe Rocket and Firstgear coats. Don’t let my nit-picky cons fool you, these pants are superb, I love them.
