Product Information

AGV Sport Solare Vented Textile Pants

The all black color may not show it but the Solare Vented Textile Pant is especially suited for rides in hot weather. Large mesh panels are featured on both the front and back of the legs and on the inside there is more mesh material with a full mesh lining. However, while airflow is excellent protection is far from poor with integrated hip pads, CE knee armor and plenty of reflective piping. And to keep the fit in check, AGV Sport has gone for two waist adjustment straps and stretch material around the knees.
  • 100% 600-D polyester strengthened woven textile and mesh pant for durability and comfort
  • Full mesh lining
  • CE approved knee pads
  • 10mm thick memory foam hips and lower back pad
  • Mesh panels on the front and rear of the upper leg for maximum cooling on hot days
  • Reflective piping is used on the outside of each leg for safety
  • Heavy duty seam construction for maximum tear resistance
  • World famous YKK zippers
  • Zip open lower legs
  • Extra long zipper pulls are used on all zippers
  • Velcro® brand closure secured flap over the fly
  • Two front hand warmer pockets
  • Adjustable Velcro® brand closure waist tabs
  • Waist connection zipper for jacket attachment
  • Available in standard or short inseam
  • Item # 29939

Knee protectors??? Joke!

Received the pants. Everything about the pants looked good. Fit, style, venting. But the knee armor was on my low shin. Didn't matter whether I was standing, sitting or kneeling. Returned that pair and bought another size. Same issue! Why would they design pants with knee armor on the shins. Ridiculous and a complete disappointment. Don't bother!

Pretty dissaponted

I bought these in July of '13, It's now July '15. On my first trip in '13 I had to sew the "buckle" back on. Now I just had to sew the crotch back together. Shoddy workmanship and poor Q.C. They do fit me well though except the tend to fall down. I might try to use suspenders. If money is a factor, these will get you by (take a sewing kit though) if you have deeper pockets, move on to a better product.

Double Check the Size

These are very nice and comfortable pants. I'm 6'3" so I had to get the 3X size when I normally wear an XL size, but they fit perfectly. Best thing is they are long enough for my long legs. Great airflow and good waist adjustments for a comfortable fit. Great price too!

Decent

Good pair of pants. Not too heavy, but a bit bulky. They feel durable with good protection.

Summer Pants

I like to ride whenever possible but I have to wear dress pants to work so I need over pants. I have a warm pair for the winter but needed something for the 80-90 degree days. These pants do the trick. Order them at least a size up if wearing them over other pants. They are well ventilated and have padding and armor.

Florida rider

I have only ridden in these one time before I clipped off all the tags. I was pleased. It was 88 degrees F with a heat index of about 92 and humidity of 65%. In other words, hot as hell. I have a 40 waist and a 30 inch inseam. The 3XL short fit almost perfectly. Knee pads were a little off, until I got on my Gladius. Then they came up perfectly. These are comfortable in the crotch. Plenty of room for the boys. Good to walk around in. Good four season for Florida. I rode in shorts. My only complaint is zipper location for the boots. It is on the outside, I prefer inside, but I may be the only one. I am sticking with these, protection looks great.

AGV Solare pants

Feels like you're wearing shorts. The short version fits me to a T. I'm 5'8" and they work very well. I like the fact that all the zippers have a pull tab on them to help with while wearing gloves. Great buy!

Fits pretty well

The main buckle ripped away from the zipper area just as I was leaving for a 3 week trip. I'd had the pants for about a week. They fit great and are pretty comfortable but the QC is not impressive. I wish they would use some elastic in the waist too.

Good pants

Good looking, fit is excellent. Only problem was crotch area of pant ripped out on second wearing. Material is very thin at this location. Had to have extra material added by tailor to make the repair. Other than that good pants for the price.

Terrible fit

These pants appear to be well made. All the stitching is tight, and nothing seems out of place. The padding around the hips is a nice feature, and you can even trade out the pads on your upper thighs for larger armor. My biggest problem with these is that the fit is very poor. Firstly, the fit changes between standing and walking. If I tighten these to the point where they don't fall off my body while walking, then they will be too tight while sitting down. I got an XL as per advice on here to size up, and it just barely fits while sitting down (I'm a size 34 waist). Secondly, the knee armor is badly positioned, over my shins and not over my knees. Thirdly, the back of the waistband is very badly designed. No matter how I tried to adjust it, I couldn't get it so the back of the waistband wasn't flared out, so it could let in rain, or at least cold air. Lastly, and this isn't so much a matter of fit, as it is a general complaint, the mesh liner sticks to your skin when you put these on, and that's inside an air-conditioned house. I can't imagine what these would be like on a hot day. I do not recommend these, and I'm going to return mine right away.

Poor workmanship, good design

I had to send the first pair back because the mesh in the knee zippered pockets was ripped on both knees. The second pair arrived and I was very pleased. About two weeks later I was getting ready for a 15 day trip and the material at the top of the zipper that holds the buckle loop ripped. I had to ride home, sew it back together and then leave for my trip. VERY frustrating. I love the way they fit but the QC needs some serious work.
