    Alpinestars thunder glove

Ordered a small and medium glove in the same style but different color and they feel like they are exactly the same size. Other than that I love these gloves and have had a pair before that lasted two riding seasons before the fingers finally wore out. Would recommend going at least one size bigger than you would normally wear.

Great look, tight fit, quality issues

Got these last week and tried them out today for the first time. The look is by far the best feature considering the price, however, they do run pretty tight as some others have mentioned so the first 10-15 minutes riding was a bit cramped. After about a half hour I didnt really notice the fit nearly as much. The grip is great and despite 90+ degree temps today my hands were pretty cool. I havent had them near long enough to break them in and I have already started the process to return them because by the time I got home the rubber on the right pointer finger had already delaminated (no stitching) and there were some frayed threads on the tip of the right thumb. The left glove seemed fine until I looked closer and realized that the stitching on the two exterior thumb pads was already coming loose. Originally wanted to exchange for a new pair but I'm debating on whether or not thats a good idea considering the quality issues on both gloves. My last pair of Alpinestar's lasted me almost 7 seasons so this is definitely a stark contrast to that.

    Looks good, fits bad!

I ordered the 3x and they don't fit. I can't even force my hand into it. My hand is just under 11" which I realize puts me over the top when it comes to sizes, but these do run small. Other than the fit, the gloves appearance is nice and would have been a great asset. Too bad they don't make 4x!

    Decent short glove

Despite the product description, these gloves do have a small amount of real leather on the bottom of the pinkie and ring fingers and that side of the palm. Don’t know why Alpinestars put the leather there or why they used such a small amount of it and didn’t note it in their description, but they did. Otherwise they fit really well and might protect in a lower speed crash. Just feels like they need some reinforcement in the palm near the thumb.

Great Gloves, for a couple months

As stated, gloves run a little small... I would normally wear a XL, and these are way to tight. I thought they would stretch, but nope... Also, after a couple months of weekly riding, the Velcro on the wrist doesn't stay anymore..

    Seams ripped in 2 months

I had this glove for about 2 months. The stitching that joins the cloth and leather at the web between the thumb and index finger went loose. The Velcro that keeps the glove on your wrist isn't very well designed either. It would always come loose when riding.

    Good fit, comfort.

It came out of the box with a small frayed part on the thumb, despite being brand new. I'm also noticing a few spots where you can see thread sticking out. I've used it for 2 weeks now, so I'm hoping these don't fall apart. They are great gloves, and a nice fit, but again, I'm hoping that the thread doesn't loosen up.

    thnder gloves

way way small so get size larger. They look well-made but too new for me to tell, I have many years riding and like the overall make. If you have large hands or thick fingers u r going to need 2 sizes up. I have normal-to-small hands & needed large, and still breaking them in. Love the look & finish of these.

Nice gloves when you break em' in

Overall these are nice gloves. When you wear them you'll feel protected. As soon as you put them on they feel a little tight against the knuckles, and for the first couple of rides with them you sort of think you should have bought something different. However after a few rides they begin to feel more and more comfortable. I'm glad a bought these. Great style and great protection.

Overall great gloves. Perfect blend of protection and comfort/flexibility. Size runs a little small and after a couple weeks the mesh material at the end of both thumbs has started to fray.

    Style, Comfort and Durable

These gloves not only look awesome, but they protect me against the cold, rain and the heat. They are super durable. I take them on and off four to six times a day and I wipe off water and dirt from the bike with the gloves. They are STILL in great shape and haven't shown any signs of wear or tear since I bought them which was three months ago. I will buy these gloves again and again. Alpinestars continues to make well priced solid, strong and very good quality products.
