Avon Storm 2 Ultra Radial Rear Tire

The successor to the Storm-ST, Avon’s Strom 2 Ultra features a refined rubber compound for improved mileage, wet weather performance and cornering grip. Enhanced ride comfort is another highlight, helping cement the Storm 2 Ultra’s sport touring credentials.
    • Advanced casing technology for low rolling resistance, cooler running and high mileage
    • Sport/Sport Touring Radial
    • Grip, mileage and wet weather performance
    • Tri-compound Extrusion Technology - medium compound center tread with soft compound shoulders and a base that improves the bond between the tire compounds and tire carcass

    • Lifetime Profile Engineering for consistent handling and stability for the life of the tire
    • Super Rich Silica compound for fast warm-up and superior grip
    • Enhanced Aqua Flow tread pattern for optimal water dispersal
    • Inverted Front Grooves resist uneven wear and improves braking stability

    Avon Storm 2 Tires

These tires are great for long straight roads as well as curvy roads. They are a long lasting tire lasting much longer than the Bridgestone Battleax tires that came stock on my Suzuki Hayabusa. Would highly recommend them.

Tire is on an ST1300. Much smoother and better all around than the OEM's. Would highly recommend Avons.

    Good Replacement for OEM tire

I replaced my FXDC's Dunlop OEM front tire with the Avon Venom and was extremely happy with it's performance. Unfortunately the Venom wasn't available in the rear size tire I needed. I went with the Avon Storm because it was the tire with the closest tread pattern and am happy with my choice. It out performs the OEM in every aspect; cornering, traction, & overall handling. I've put less than 1K miles on it so I really can't speak to the tread life. I would definitely recommend this tire.

    Fantastic for the road.

I have them on my 2005 ZRX1200R. I've put about 5k on them, some spirited cornering but mostly interstate riding, with little wear and a small flat stripe. Extremely good traction, it plants and pulls the front up even on damp roads at very low speeds.

The best tires, worth every penny spent

Have tried many different tires over the years, Avon's are the best. I ride a lot of twisties and they are always there, hold very well, never any doubt. They are amazing even when they are almost worn out, still hold better then most other brands of tires when those tires are new. Truely amazing tires. You won't be disappointed.

    Great tire!

This is my first Avon tire but I am glad I listened to reviews and tried one out. Way better feel than my previous tire.

Great tire for the Early BMW K 1200 LT's

I got 10k out of the rear and will see about 12k out of the front on this heavy bike. Excellent wear, minimal road noise in the turns and GREAT traction over the Mets 880's I hope they dont go away any time soon!

This is one incredible tire - tires lasts along time - excellent traction. Grip is a bit weak when road is wet but that's understandable. Great Overall!! Will buy another.

    Quality is gone downhill

The 2 tires I bought recently were very poor quality. The finish on the tire was terrible. Chunks of rubber sticking out all over the tire and around the sidewall there were ribbons of rubber sticking out in many spots. Took an hour or so to cut all them off so I could balance it correctly. Will not buy these again. Michelin is the way to go for a fantastic tire. Buyer beware of these.

I like these tires they handle pretty good and the ride is comfortable. As far as wet traction goes don't expect to compare them to cars with four tires and way more tread for traction. Overall, these are great and will last.

BMW 1150 R. Best tire so far

I have tried 5 different manufacturers/tires and have not had a "Bad" one yet. However, the Avon Storm 2 is by far my favorite. very neutral but loves to be leaned over. what suprised me the most though was low speed stability. i.e. doing a slow u-turn. You won't be disappointed.

    wears like a brick

I've got a 60mi rt commute year round, i run these till the tread falls off, 12k mi. out of the last rear (bike is a 99 VFR 800). Honestly can't comment on the cornering ability, compared to say the PP's, but i've got these scuffed to the edges and don't have any issues.
