good skid plate

This skid plate was easy to install, fit the way it should and provides good protection for the rocks and trees I run across every time I ride. So for me, this is a great unit!

Skidmark.......I mean Skid Plate

I got a great price and the transaction was easy. The part fit well and looks good. Haven't really put it to the test yet, but for my style of riding (Dual Sport) it should work great.

Great Product

Fit on my '08 CRF250R was perfect. Very easy install and removal. No complaints here, I would recommend to anyone looking for a lightweight piece of protection.

Not really for my bike

I have a 2009 KTM 200 XC. The part description says it will fit my bike, but it is obviously made for the 250/300 and not my bike. I had to trim off a mounting tab that didn't work on my bike, and I had to drill some mounting holes in order to attach it. It fits decently now and offers acceptable protection. I wouldn't want to use it in very rocky conditions, though. I think it is a little too flimsy for that kind of riding.

Easy Access

I like how easy it is to put on and take off with the hang tab design. Easy to remove to get at the bottom of the motor. Looks like protection of frame will be plenty.

fits more than you think

I have a 1999 Ktm 300 exc and I couldn’t find a plastic skid to fit it. I decided there wasn't much diff between years in the frame. A little trim on the back hook and it fit like a dream. Nice product.

Acerbis - Skid Plate should be called a engine cover

Skid plate for 09 Honda 450R is a engine cover with less protection on the oil filter side of the case than the factory plastic cover. Installation was one bolt on the left side of the frame and two slip on plastic tabs (1 one the right frame rail and 1 on the cross member at the rear. The right side of the cover is up against the water pump housing with no protection from rocks or logs. The skid cover will protect from rocks thrown up, but will not survive an impact on a rock sticking up on a trail. This is what it looks like, a 5 dollar piece of plastic to protect from rock chips and keep your the bottom of the engine clean.
