NOT THE SOUND I HOPED FOR

I loved the looks of these pipes, but the sound is not what I had hoped for. Installed on a 2011 Kawasaki Vaquero and the fit took a little persuading but not too bad overall with about one hour of work start to finish. Bottom line is I'm pretty happy with the purchase and they look fantastic.

Awesome Looks And Sound

Put on 14'Vaquero in about half hour. High quality chrome finish. I suggest a Power Commander to help with the backfiring.

Cobra Tri Ovals

I put these on my 2012 Vulcan Voyager along with a Cobra FI2000 Pro Power. Immediately I noticed an increase in power but my fuel mileage also dropped several mpg. Not unexpected with performance equipment. They sound great when cruising or accelerating but somewhat tinny at idle. When backing off the throttle sometimes there is a loud popping noise somewhat like back firing. I've put my stock pipes back on for the time being.

great looks, great sound

Cannot beat the looks of these pipes. Just got back from riding the green mountains in Vermont and white mountains in New Hampshire and the sound echoing through the valleys was fantastic.

Picked up 5-HP

I installed a Stage-II 103 kit on my '07 Road King. The kit came with SE pipes that factory installs for the 103 and 110 SE bikes prior to 2010. Performance was okay, I just got tired of my sons 1200 Sporty sounding more agressive than my Road King. Installed these this past Fall and what a difference! They look great, sound great and I picked up 5+ HP on the dyno by this change alone.

Excellent Product by Cobra

I have a 2011 HD Street Glide and these new slip on mufflers made a world of difference in the bike. I get comments from many other bikers. Looks like my fuel efficiency dropped a little but not by much. The gasoline here is a mix. Really no need for a super tuner or an air cleaner kit. The on board computer system on these new bikes synchronize excellent. Great Product Cobra!

Great pipes but noisy on older bikes

I purchased these pipes because they were supposed to quieter than the racing pipes I had (and they looked really great). I am having trouble with my ears and have to quiet them down. The mufflers were actually a little louder than the other mufflers. Found out that the sound tests were made with newer bikes with the Catalytic converter in the pipe ahead of the muffler. The older bikes had it in the muffler. Without the Cat. the pipes were loud. Got a refund and all is well.
