Fieldsheer cooling vest

It definetly cools your upper body. I soak it in the bath tub before my ride, then put it in large plastic bag until needed. It works like a swamp cooler and really feels good in the dry 110 degree heat here in New Mexico.

Fieldsheer Iceberg Vest

Highly recommend this vest to anyone who rides in hot weather. I was able to wear my mesh jacket for protection with the vest underneath and kept cool in 105+ temperatures in Southern Utah. I don't handle the heat well; but this product made it possible to keep on riding ... comfortably!! And, it's easy to use and looks good too!!

THIS is the one!

It gets VERY hot in Houston. I have a round trip commute of 90miles daily. No mesh or perforated clothing will allow the kind of cooling or ventilation you need to get through. This vest is a Godsend. Keeps me cool and whistling for more than an hour - which is much as I've tested so far. Highly recommend for hot weather riding.

Great for hot weather

Works great in Phoenix. I use it with my Joe Rocket mesh jacket. It has worked well in 100 degrees. It is 113 in Phoenix today and I have not tried it out yet, but I am sure it will help if anything can. Definitely worth it in hot weather climates.

It works!

It takes me about an hour and a half to ride home from work and I have been using it every day since I received it. The vest keeps your core cooler even when it’s humid. I soak it the night before and let it drip for a while then put it in a plastic bag and take it to work. There is a big difference from riding without it, even sitting through stoplights and traffic is better with it than without.

Works great!

I bought this for trip across Canada and the United States. It was a life saver this past week with temperatures hitting record highs in the 90s and low 100's. Getting the vest wet on the road can sometimes be a challenge. Most gas station and restaurant sinks don't have a plug. You need to use the vest to keep the water from draining. It takes quite a few minutes to saturate with water, but it keeps you cool for quite a while. I used it under a mesh jacket and it worked fine.

Works as advertised

I ordered a size smaller, based on another owner's feedback. It was the right decision. It kept me cool for a solid 6 hours of riding.

FieldSheer Iceberg Vest

I wear this vest on my afternoon commute home from work. So far it seems to be doing a very good job of keeping me cool. I soak it in my sink in the morning and put it in a plastic bag on my commute to work. I don't wear it on my morning commute because the weather isn't hot enough to need it and because it would get my work clothes too wet. While at work, I hang the vest above my trash can so the excess water can drip off. Then by the afternoon, it's damp enough to provide evaporative cooling without being so wet that it leaves my work clothes wet. So far it's been a good way of beating the summer heat.

Cool vest

Although not an air conditioner type coolness, it is better than going without.

Hot weather

Live in Texas where it gets really HOT. Helps quite a bit when used with mesh jacket for about one hr 15 min. It then acts like insulation so plan accordingly.

MUST HAVE for warm weather

I fell in love with this vest after the first time I wore it: it was 90 degrees and I was dying under my leather jacket. The vest dropped my temperature by what felt like 20 degrees, putting a smile on my face as it got even hotter that day. I now carry this vest everywhere: it's an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for any rider that hits warm weather, and it's a steal at this price!

Iceberg Vest Review

The item functions just as advertised. I have taken it on several very hot days, and the vest has never let me down. You must follow the directions for the best results. That means that it functions best when worn under a mesh type jacket to allow maximum air flow to the wet vest to facilitate the cooling process. I am very pleased with this product, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive way to keep cool on those hot riding days.

Great Addition to a Jacket

I was skeptical about buying this vest at first but it really does keep me cooler. Now I don't hit the road without the Iceberg vest either in my jacket or packed in my bags.

Fieldsheer Iceberg vest

The vest does work in temperatures above 90 degrees. It feels clammy below 90. Despite the advertisement, your clothes do get damp, but that's a small price to pay for comfort. For the price, it's worth trying.
