Not so cool!

I was very disappointed in the Iceburg vest. The only time I felt it cool me was when I took it off. I used a mesh jacket, then a long sleeve tee-shirt but neither way did it help cool me. It may be the fairing of the motorcycle does not let enough air circulation. Bottom line is I wasted my money on it.

Works as advertised

I ordered a size smaller, based on another owner's feedback. It was the right decision. It kept me cool for a solid 6 hours of riding.

Iceberg Vest Review

The item functions just as advertised. I have taken it on several very hot days, and the vest has never let me down. You must follow the directions for the best results. That means that it functions best when worn under a mesh type jacket to allow maximum air flow to the wet vest to facilitate the cooling process. I am very pleased with this product, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive way to keep cool on those hot riding days.

Motorcycle A/C Unit

Used it only once so far, a 93 deg. day in Colorado... Like an A/C unit for motorcycling. 6 AM I soaked it in cold tap water for about ten minutes and wrapped it in a dry bag. At 2 PM in scorching heat I put it on over a t-shirt under a mesh jacket. At that moment it was worth every penny. Ran it through the wash and air dried it... ready to go again!

One size smaller, works ok

Definitely buy one size smaller than you normally would. I ride a bike with a big fairing and windshield and I believe that has an effect on the performance due to less air moving across me.

good for the price

Order one size smaller. If you dont want to ride in hot weather cause of wetting your shirt this is an option.

Works Great

l bought one for my wife and myself, they do a good job at what they are supposed to do. Have worn them on long rides in the Texas 100 plus heat and they do help at keeping your core temp. down.

Definitely order smaller

Others have said, and I'll echo, that you should definitely order at *least* one size smaller than what you wear in shirts/jackets. I normally wear an XL, got the L, and it's borderline too big. (not big enough to send back, but close.)

Works great!

I bought this for trip across Canada and the United States. It was a life saver this past week with temperatures hitting record highs in the 90s and low 100's. Getting the vest wet on the road can sometimes be a challenge. Most gas station and restaurant sinks don't have a plug. You need to use the vest to keep the water from draining. It takes quite a few minutes to saturate with water, but it keeps you cool for quite a while. I used it under a mesh jacket and it worked fine.

It works!

It takes me about an hour and a half to ride home from work and I have been using it every day since I received it. The vest keeps your core cooler even when it’s humid. I soak it the night before and let it drip for a while then put it in a plastic bag and take it to work. There is a big difference from riding without it, even sitting through stoplights and traffic is better with it than without.

The vest seems to cool as advertised. Better to order a size smaller as they run big. Your shirt will get wet but it will be cooler.

Great for hot weather

Works great in Phoenix. I use it with my Joe Rocket mesh jacket. It has worked well in 100 degrees. It is 113 in Phoenix today and I have not tried it out yet, but I am sure it will help if anything can. Definitely worth it in hot weather climates.

Chillin'

We made Good Morning America a few years back as the hottest place on the planet. I can't believe I've never tried one before. Works as advertised with a so called "Dry Heat" not so sure how it would do in humid states. I ordered per size chart and it's a bit large but not bad enough to return it. A full mesh jacket is key to be effective.

THIS is the one!

It gets VERY hot in Houston. I have a round trip commute of 90miles daily. No mesh or perforated clothing will allow the kind of cooling or ventilation you need to get through. This vest is a Godsend. Keeps me cool and whistling for more than an hour - which is much as I've tested so far. Highly recommend for hot weather riding.
