These are quite small if you are using them as knee pads and my last ones fell to pieces quite quickly which I'm hoping these don't. More importantly however, if you are thinking of purchasing these from the UK don't bother. Cost me £80 to get delivered despite paying delivery at checkout. I have tried to contact Motorcycle superstore on numerous occasions by e-mail to establish why but been ignored so in short a set of 20 dollar knee pads cost me nearly £100 !!
If the plug doesn't expand correctly in the ear, the function of quieting is reduced. If the plug doesn't seem to be in correctly, re-insert until you get it. The plug stays in place when I put my helmet on.
I started riding again last year and these give me an extra piece of mind. I wear them almost every time I'm on my bike. I did not understand the sizing at all so I bought both sizes. I'm a power lifter so I do have big quads and calves, but you better have some bird legs if you want to get into the smalls. If you're like me and you don't, go with the large size. There's an adjustable Velcro strap and they stay in place well and are comfortable.
Good armor for the back. The Jackets come with a light pad for weight and many people do not want heavy armor. So I bought this to go in my Ventech II jacket. It was a bit tight getting it in the opening, but once I got it in the pocket, it fit great. Just the extra back protection I was looking for in the back of the jacket.
These are easy to insert, are comfortable, and block out a very appropriate amount of noise. However, despite following the manufacturer’s recommended installation, they frequently fall out of my ear canal while I'm riding. I can insert the plugs and walk around extensively without problems. After 5 minutes or less of riding, the plug’s fit will loosen. I have no way of reinserting the plugs while riding because I wear a full-face helmet, which means the remainder of the ride is noisy again.
