Not That Cool

I bought these for two main reasons: Trying to stay cool during the Texas summer and relieve hand cramping. They fail for both. I don't feel any air moving through them and I will have to take the ads word that they have gel in the palms. They are no help in easing hand cramping. I have a pair of leather summer gloves that are just as good or better with no gel. They are nice looking and fitting gloves but fail to do what they were purchased for.

Olympia Sports 710 Gel Gloves

I am pleased how this glove is wearing! I have been wearing them for the last five weeks. As long as they last the summer like I expect them too, I will be very happy with them. They have a comfortably snug fit, the gel in the palm is great for assisting grip without sacrificing feel. They are surprisingly warm enough during surprise snow storms in southern Oregon! Overall solid product.

Gloves

Excellent fit and I must say excellent choice. If you need a good spring/summer riding glove this is it.

Very comfortable and practical

Good: Sharp styling, offer some protection, gel padding is in the right place. Bad: The seam inside the fingers is very noticeable, constantly digging under my fingernails. I got the gloves extra long in the fingers to help avoid this, but it still happens. Also, the velcro "hooks" snag and chew up the side of one finger when the gloves are open. That killed my previous pairs. They are not all that secure and likely to come off in an accident. Inexpensive for what you get.

Good gloves.

Been using them for several years. This recent pair seem to have the fingertips a little more square cut than the last. The rounder tip is better for GPS touchscreen use.

I love everything about these gloves

I have unusually big hands for a female and these are the best fitting gloves I've ever been fortunate enough to find. I even want to wear them when I drive my car. The sizer works perfectly, the reflection, gel, and pads are absolutely perfect and prevent cramping and blisters. I'm only sorry I can't buy a pair in each color (don't have my size at the moment, but I'll keep checking!). BUY SEVERAL PAIRS OF THESE GLOVES WHEN YOU FIND YOUR SIZE.

Decent for the price

Not much in the way of complaints. They fit and are comfortable even in temps above 100. They will turn you hands black if they get soaked but if you rub a little bleach on your hands and rinse it disappears immediately.

These are good

I am a high mileage rider. I have a little arthritis in my hands and the bit of gel in the palms makes a world of difference! Before I discovered these gloves, I went through two to three pairs of summer gloves per year. These last me two to three summers per pair! They are a little on the warm side for hot weather and a bit expensive for summer gloves are the only disadvantages.

decent fit, but does not last long

Gloves fit well, are comfortable, but are not durable, the leather is durable but the stitching is weak and the polyester starts fraying and coming apart.

Maybe I got a bad pair?

The tips of both middle fingers opened within the first 200 miles, with the index fingers following shortly thereafter, they are now semi-fingerless and I need to replace them. The suede material on the palm side of the gloves has completely worn through as well. They stain my hands black in the rain. Most of the wear happened when they were wet. They would benefit from having more length in the wrist. Otherwise they are comfortable and the gel works very well.

Gloves Review

This is my second pair of these gloves. In spite of some "quality" problems with the first pair (bought in 2010), I think they are some of the best summer gloves for the money you can find. I'm still wearing the first pair regularly...I've had to replace the Velcro on them and sew the index fingers back together, but they're still good to go, and as soon as they wear out, I'm on to the new ones.

Not bad

Reflector mesh on knuckles immediately frayed. First time I rode in the rain, the gloves leaked black ink. My entire palms of both hands were completely covered like I just got fingerprinted(unfortunately I know). Other than that, the gloves seem to be a good value. I normally wear a size large glove, but these seem to fit a little small. I've ridden over 500 mi in them so they should be broken in by now.

Best Choices

I was very pleased with the fit of the gloves as well as the extended comfort. Overall good choice.
