Good Product

I've been using it for one month since November 2011 for commuting. It protects my shoes from gear shifting and adapt to the size of them all, being tennis, boat shoes, casual and leather. At first it's a bit of effort to get used to it but it works fine. Material is strong enough and reflective material in the back lights powerfully at night, as told by a fellow driver behind me in highways.

Nelson Rigg Shift Boot Protector

Very nice on my sneakers!! Don’t have to wear my riding boots all the time. Can wear a different pair of shoes without having to worry about getting them dirty.

Herman The Monster

If you're putting this on a boot (which most ppl will), this looks like you have on a "Herman the Monster" shoe. It's very wide naturally and makes your left foot look retarded

Strap broke easily and the bulk makes shifting awkward

I bought this from a local store, but wouldn't recommend it. The actual cover seemed to hold up ok though there is only a small pad that may or may not hit on your actual shifter. It is quite bulky so moving my foot around to shift was awkward when the edge on the bottom would catch on the footpeg. Then the stitching failed where the ring attaches for the strap, not long after it fell off and belongs to the streets or a mouse family on the side of the road - good riddance.

Worst product I have ever purchased.

I was very excited about the design of this product, so I bought 2. One for me, and one for my wife. Mine wouldn't fit even over a pair of tennis shoes, and my wife's tore within 30 minutes of riding. Good idea, horrid execution.
