Recently bought this item from Motorcycle Superstore. It was shipped fast and packaged beyond expectations (there was enough bubble wrap for ten shields lol). Overall it seems to meet my expectations for quality, it does say "made in Korea" so you know it's not top of the line but for the price I think it's worth it. The silver looks cool as it mirrors well and makes it easier to see in daylight. You can see your eyes reflecting back at you but it doesn't really bother me much. I bought mine for the HJC CL MAX 2 helmet that I use for ski-dooing and a clear shield on a sunny day reflecting off snow just doesn't cut it. I'm not sure about the concerns that it scratches easily but so far so good. I would recommend for the price.
The helmet was too small and we had to return it for a larger size. We also bought two for my daughters and they have not complained, so they must be pretty comfortable.
The visor is kind of cheasy and it locks on the right, but my husband is left handed. Not really an issue, just something to be aware of.
I bought this because my new helmet didn't have a quick release on it. This "quick" release product was a pain to use. Hard to get hooked up & most times would jam when I tried to unhook it. It was so inconvenient that I had to buy a new helmet with a "zipper" release on it. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend.
I ordered the dual lens shield to reduce fogging in colder weather. It does a great job, and does not fog up at all. The only issue I have is that the lens will not fit in the visorless configuration without some modification. There is a piece on the dual shield on the left side that will not fit with the alternate plates used when the visor is off. The lens fits fine with the visor, but you'll need to make a cutout on the left plastic plate if you want to use it without the visor.
