Zx14r riders beware

Coming from a q3 before this i wasn't sure what to expect, and the reviews i read before hand didn't make me feel any better. Once i finally burned off all the slick protective film that comes on the tire it still wants to slip and slide all over the place if you give it any kind of gas in the bends. Would not recommend this tire at all if you're an agressive rider.

Great tire!!!!

This is my third one of these and I have nothing but great things to say about this tire. It's last me forever and I ride a lot every year. Have referred multiple people to buy this tire whenever we have our bike run every year.

good for touring

I have 13k miles on the rear with a mix of highway, backroad cruising, and spirited twisty runs. The rear tire has at least another 500 miles before It hits the wear bars. The front tire has 10k miles with plenty of tread life left but there's dry rot cracks between treads. I just put the front tire on last year when I purchased the bike to replace the dryrotted contimotion that came on the bike. I ride an sv650s btw.

Conti Motion Sport Touring Radial Rear Tire

I have gone through 2 sets on my 08 FJR1300 2up now, 2340 miles on the first set, and 1980 on this one, each 2-3 day trip to/from Raleigh to VA/NC Appalacia, all backroad. Not even a full oil change on either one. I'm 225#, and she is 120# w/ one helmet bag of gear. I tried not to ride that hard the second trip and half of that was on wet roads. Dry grip is ok and wet is predictably less. Tread life is evidently just really short. Was getting 5500 on PR4's.

Best Bang for the Buck

Any tire that that works road and track on a literbike and lasts 5k or more is a WINNER. I'm still on the same front Conti Motion and now have 9k and 3 track days. I don't ride like there's money at stake, so if you are pushing the performance envelope ON THE TRACK, there are better tires.

So far so good

I have put about 500 miles on the tires, the first 20 the tires were a little rough but after that they were smooth. I bought them for the price and the reviews, they stick nicely and even in heavy rain I had zero problems. If all continues I will definitely buy them again.

Do NOT buy Conti Motion for a bike with over 65hp

Waste of money. When the tire is cold, it has the worst traction I've ever experienced. If you ride in a colder climate, then you might not even be able to get enough heat into the tire to make it stick. Even after 15 minutes of riding in colder temps, the tire still responded as if it were dead cold. Furthermore, the tread life is horrendous. I only put 2500 miles on the rear when the belts began to show. UNACCEPTABLE. Tire was on a 2003 Yamaha FZ1.

Good thing they are cheap!

Rode locally for 900 mi, looked fine, then put a pretty good 500mi 2up day on Virginia backroads on my FJR. Rear is down to the wear bars at 1475 mi! 1 hard day absolutely cooked this tire! 1 more to finish the front off and no more.

You can't beat this tire for the price

I've had these tires on for about 5,500 miles now and I must say that I'm impressed. They still have about another 1,500-2,000 miles left on them. I have absolutely no qualms about buying these again! Why spend 50% more for a tire that does the exact same thing. They are quiet, they grip very well (I've never had any slippage) and they are very good in the rain. I have had no issues. I will certainly buy again!

Very difficult to ride through twisties

I've installed these tires, both front and rear on an '03 GSX-R 750, replacing Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 tires and these Contis are very difficult to ride through twisties. The front tire feels as if it's going to give out on steeper lean angles (far from knee-dragging angles). The bike constantly feels as if it will wander wide off of its line as compared to the Battlax. The rear tire is not as bad with precision control, but lacks stability. For example, the slightest amount of gravel or pebbles on a turn will make you feel as if the rear end is going to shoot out from under you, whereas the Battlax would simply communicate the gravel to you while still maintaining a confident grip. Finally, these tires take quite a while to warm up. I highly caution against using these tires for twisties riding. They are perhaps best suited for distance touring on dry pavement.

Vast handling improvement

These Conti Motion Sport Touring tires were a vast improvement over the worn out OEM Metzlers on my Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport (which any new tire should be). I bought the bike used and didn't think much of it because it handled so poorly. Turned out that the Metzlers were worn out by 4k miles. Now I love the bike and hope the Conti's will last longer than 4k miles.

Not a great place to be cheap

I did get decent mileage but when it was near half gone- cracks started across the width! (6500Miles) and you dont want to ride on these. Even the front wore oddly and almost scalloped. NEVER SAW THAT with Pirelli, Michelin or Bridgestone. I did save a few $ buying them but I risked my life riding on them.

Not good enough

For the price, these tires are unacceptable. Tread life is average with grip being poor. They are fine for riding slab, but not much beyond that. The tires never really warm up when pushing them hard. I do not recommend these tires.

2000 VFR800

When it was new it was decent, after around 6,000km not so great any more. The rear tire started cracking in straight line from left bead to right. Not a pleasant sight. Slipping and sliding a bit. Not confidence inspiring in wet. One of the worst tires I've had on the bike. Will be replacing it soon with a PR2, PR3 or BT23. You get what you pay for I guess, stay away from "economy" tires if you can help it!
