Dunlop Sportmax Q2 Rear Tire

Equally at home on the street or the track, the Sportmax Q2 rear tire is bred from years of racing experience to deliver ultra-aggressive grip and handling in all conditions. For serious sport bike riders around the globe, the Sportmax Q2 is the tire that brings performance to a whole new level.
  • Intuitive Response Profile (IRP) technology in the rear tire intuitively allows the rider freedom to pick his line while cornering with ease and provides positive steering no matter what shape, speed or camber the corner, and at all lean angles
  • Radical new profile puts down a bigger footprint at extreme lean angles while also allowing greater lean angles and higher corner speeds
  • Dunlop’s advanced Multi-Tread technology combines the benefits of a tough, long-wearing center compound for increased mileage with a special lateral-grip compound on each shoulder for superior cornering traction
  • Q2 rear tire features a newly developed, stiffer version of Dunlop’s Jointless Band (JLB) construction that utilizes a continuously wound aramid belt for reduced carcass distortion, plus stiffer overall construction to meet high-performance demands and provide a more consistent contact patch

Dunlop Q2

Best tire I have been on. Grips like mad. Makes the XR1200 perform wild.

Great Bang for your Buck

When it came time to replace the Bridgestones on my 2009 gixxer, I really did a lot of comparing. I eventually settled on the Q2s by Dunlop and I am glad I did. Motorcycle Superstore was running a sale on them and thus far they were worth every penny. Very smooth ride with plenty of grip. Definitely will replace these with another set.

Great Tire def worth the money

First off let me start by saying this tire was priced at a local shop that usually has decent prices but I priced this at 241 which is crazy since I paid 156 then the mounting and balancing was 25. The thing I love about this tire is cornering, before this tire I was really afraid to corner hard because it just never felt comfortable but this is awesome, it almost lays itself down for you, I have even had a passenger and this tire corners great as well, it sticks to ground like glue, I have an 07 r6 and the previous tire you could feel slipping all the time when you juice it but this tire will stand the bike right up without even realizing it, Its honestly like a totally different bike now, haven't tried it in the rain but it was cold as hell here in pa recently and this tire did great!! thnx MS best prices on the net

Excellent!

It's a tire. It does what it is supposed to do...I like it, but I really don't have anything to compare it to since I am a new rider and the Q2 tires are my first ones. They look nice.

great tires

Bought a set of these tires for my r6 to replace the old sportmax's and I immediately felt a difference. The turn in and stability were far superior over the previous tire. The only problem is this increased my confidence so I guess the only problem with them is my own growing ego. Can't do much about that, and as always excellent price and service from the superstore thanks guys.

New Tires

I bought these tires 2 months ago and put them on my GSXR 1000. I ride two-up with my girlfriend, but still ride like I am riding alone on tons of sharp curves and switchbacks and they make the bike feel like I'm the only one on it and you can lay it really far down and it sticks like glue. I'm one that gases it in the middle of the turn to come out hard and get the bike back up and ready for next turn and they have never slipped at any point in the turns! I have rode in the pouring rain and they grip really well, of course I had cut my normal speed in half because I could hardly see, but really good feel on water! Great all around tire!

Welded to the ground !

I am impressed! I have had Bridgestone and Michelin on my '07 Bandit 1250 and they were ok but this tire is different. I put on a 180/55 and the grip was amazing. The 55 was really different all of the sudden I had chicken strips again and I couldn't get rid of them. The sticky tire and profile gave me access to much more corned speed.

WOW!

I rode the Pilot Powers at the beginning of this season and thought i was in love and didn't want to change tires. THEN the dunlop boy's came out with the Q2, just put it on and already droppin knees. These tires HOOK up in the corner's. they want to be on their edges all the time. they drop in and just feel like they want to stay, they hold their line's in the corner's like i've never felt before. First impression rolling out of the driveway i thought wow i can't wait to hit the corner's just turning out of the street they just want to tip in and ride the edge of the tire. I can't comment tread life, or wet traction but will when i go to buy another, and i'll definately be buying a new rear when need be. I highly recommend these tires to any one who want's to get out and just RAIL in the corners. Tires stick like glue, very fast warm up very fast break in, i'll tell you what I'm in love with these tires and i just put them on, they'll definitely up your game if you know what i mean. DEFINiTELY DON'T THINK ABOUT ORDERING THESE ORDER THEM NOW!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME TIRE

I replaced my back tire on my 2007 R6 and the improvement in handling was night and day. This tire will hold in the corners like glue, I do a lot of cornering, this tire is great in the rain as well. If you purchase this tire you will be happy, it's worth every dime.

Excellence

I replaced both tires on my 2006 cbr600rr with these q2's and they are awesome. So stable, very comfortable. All the other reviews i've read before I decided to buy them were true. They are by far worth it. As long as you zigzag like you're warming your tires up a lot, the 100 mile break in period is really more like 50 miles.

Great

So far so good. They aren't the highest-spec race tire, but you wouldn't know it. They stick everywhere I have been. They ride nicely. They dive right into corners (not unpredictably or dangerously so). They're great. Drive them. Track them. Enjoy them. I have less than 1000 miles on my set so far, so I can't rate durability fairly, but they still look new.

Great overall tire

Great tires. I put 8K on them mostly running down the interstate back and forth to work, but also a lot of hard cornering through the canyons. A 12 hour ride through hard rain one time; no slippage at all. Picking up my bike with the new Q2's today.
