    Great tire for the VFR

I live in the mountains of NE Georgia where the only straight road is my driveway. I have four bikes, am retired, so I spend a lot of time riding my 45 mile route through the twisties. I use Avons on the vintage bikes and Dunlops on the dual sport and the VFR. The Q2 offers fantastic handling and mileage and Motorcycle Superstore has the best prices and service.

    Great tire

The traction, handling and stability of this tire is amazing, especially for the price and the speed rating. Mounted on a Yamaha R1 to match the recently installed Q2 rear tire.

    Q2 evaluation / comparison

I don't know how some of the people evaluating the tires get 6,000 to 12,000 miles out of the Q2's. I get 1,000-1,200 miles on a rear & 1,800-2,000 miles on a front. Mileage is similar to what I get on BT-003's or BT-016's The tires work great for fast sport riding. Good traction in the turns. No sliding in the turns like the Pilot Powers does. I'll never get another set of pilot powers (they're crap). Can't wait to try the Q3.

    Great, predictable tire.

I ride a 2008 Yamaha R1, been using the Q2's as a track and street tire. Very good traction in the dry. I can't complain much about the wet, does a pretty good job as long as it's warm out. Great all around tire. Front tire has some life in it still but with approx. 3500mi on the f/r set I'm going to replace them both (as the rear is getting close to wear bars) and try a set of Q3's.

    Fantastic tire

Tire warmed up really fast, would take anything I could dish out, never slipped once, handled great in the rain and looks like it will last a decent amount of time. I will be buying these again for sure.

    Good Tire

I have been running these on my RC51 since I have had it and they work well. Pretty stable in the line, and have a good footprint in the corners. I run Pirelli Diablos on my GSXR and they are the better tire. So if you're wanting the best performance, Dunlop isn't the best answer. But for the price the Q2 handle the twisties just fine for the average rider.

    Dunlop Q2 tires

I first rode on these tires equipping the BMW S10000RR at the California Super Bike School, Las Vegas track. They were most impressive and the grip and cornering feel were unlike anything I had tried before. I have put them on everything from GSXR1000, to SV650S to BMW R1200S and have always been impressed and satisfied. I have tried the other manufacturer's multi compound tires on various bikes, but never felt the same sense of security rolling in to and out of corners. Great tires.

Great Tire, didn't buy for tread life

I buy these (3rd time) because they are freaking sticky by the time I get to the end of my parking space! 4000 miles max if you are gentle. I'm a 49yr old hooligan on an 1100S Multistrada. Get these if you want to stick in any condition. I never ride in the rain, hence 1 digi off so I do not mislead.

No experience w/WET traction and no input on TREAD LIFE yet

Replaced a set of PPwr2CT on my '10 Z1000 with these. I drag knee & the Q2's give me more confidence in the corners than the PP did. They also are way stickier quicker than the PP. Not sure on life yet since I only have about 600 miles on them. Tread has barely worn off mine in the 600 miles since install. Haven't ridden rain yet. All in all I'd take these any day over the 2CT's unless the tread wears obnoxiously quicker. REAL HAPPY with purchase.

    Its a good tire

On the street it is good for temperature above 55 degrees and dry weather. On track it is good for beginner to intermediate riders. This is the 2nd Q2 I have bought, the 1st got 3700 miles, but this one might make it to 3000 miles. Wet roads and this tire don't work well together. Needs good 30 to 40 miles of aggressive riding to break tire in. Holds corner very good once tire is warmed up.

I have tried different tires, and all I've tried are good, but I feel most secure with the grip this tire gives me on the track and street. This is the tire that grips the best, and to me that means safety. Wear is good considering how soft they are. I rated wet traction at "four", but I really cannot rate this for I never ride in the rain.

    owe these tires

05 gsxr 750. 15 years on two wheels. The most nerve racking ride of my life, these tires made it all the way baby. Im telling you I kiss these tires with my own lips. Ive also been caught in a downpoor of rain with the q2 and they did well. There is nothing like the q2. Dont be fooled by all the "name brands" all the time. The q2 is the best tire out there. Period!

These tires are ok for dry traction but do not give good feed back and feel they are unpredictable when they start to break loose they give no warning when entering corners especially in the wet. Have about 4000 miles on them now still look almost new great tread life, but definitely going back to the michelin pilot road series they give much better road feel and are very predictable.
