Just as described - Very good value

Just replaced a vintage Hein Gericke leather jacket that I have worn for 19 years and the last one has made it unusable and that is why I bought this Joe Rocket Ballastic 8.0. It fits extremely well and has so many features, I am still discovering little adjustments. It is perfect for a 4 season jacket, with enough venting for our heat and also cold this time of year.

A wonderful upgrade over my 7+ year old Joe Rocket Jacket. The fit is great. It is plenty warm down to around freezing. The pockets are a little small, but the number of pockets makes up for that to a degree.

    Great Jacket, but not waterproof

This is a great jacket and I really like it for the most part. It is not waterproof however. It leaks through the front in 2 or 3 places. I would recommend it, but don't expect to stay completely dry.

    Joe Ballistic 8.0

I recently purchased this jacket after observing others with similar jackets. All that owned these jackets were fully satisfied with their fit, comfortability, durability, etc. I do a lot of back country riding and know this jacket is the right choice for all conditions during my riding time from April to November. I'm certain I too will be able to report this is the best jacket I have ever owned.

red med Joe Rocket Ballistic 7.0 jacket

Only beef - pockets are super tiny. My wallet barely fits...good for keys, small knick knacks. Comfortable, warm, adjustable and it’s a looker too. I plan on riding across the country with it in about 5 mo - and don't have any problem sticking with that plan.

    This Jacket is a WINNER!

With winter approaching I needed a jacket that was going to hold up under Rain and cold. This jacket so far is exceeding my expectations. The fit is perfect and contours to your body very nicely. The 3/4 length doesn't bind or bunch underneath you in the saddle at all. The pockets are well placed and easy to access. All the zippers work perfectly and don't bind. The big air vent system is fantastic! you can regulate your core temp extremely well. And when things get really foul, this jacket will keep the cold and rain out. I have been in 40 degrees in a driving rain and stayed warm and dry with no under-layers other than a standard long sleeve "T". For real cold (under 35), you can layer up under and you will be set. Lastly, it looks great! This jacket is a winner. By far the best jacket I own! Maybe the best piece of gear period.

    Joe Rocket Ballistic 8.0 Jacket

Very bright color, which gets real attention in traffic. Fits well, and as proven by fast riding in several hours of very heavy rain and tire spray, is absolutely waterproof. It is also warm, as several mountain passes near freezing demonstrated. I did miss the commodious pockets of its predecessor, a couple of which could have been incorporated into this one.

    Very Nice Jacket!

I'm in the middle of an epic ride that started in VA and will end up in Alaska! I bought this jacket in high visibility color scheme and it looks great! No worries seeing me on the highway! The jacket fits really well after you get the adjusting straps dialed in so the armor fits where it should. The venting gimmick in the front works really well and has helped keep me cool riding through Death Valley with temps off the chart! The liners are easily removed for washing and I can report that I found the jacket (and matching pants) are absolutely waterproof. I rode through a torrential down pour in Kentucky which shorted out my horn, but I stayed nice and dry! Useful pockets...all in all, a great jacket.

JayD on Joe Rocket ballistic jacket

This jacket is comfortable and certainly waterproof. The fit is good and it looks good. I ride a Goldwing trike and can still get enough air so that it is not too uncomfortable even in hot weather. This jacket is absolutely waterproof but not too hot when the temp is high 80's. Worth the price.

    Joe Rocket Ballistic 8.0

I bought this jacket last year before the Neon version was available and ended up with the olive and black. The fit of the jacket makes it look tailored and all the looseness can be adjusted out of it. It is very waterproof and I have worn this jacket in temps ranging from the middle 20F to low 90F it keeps you warm and the big air system actually works. Overall I like the jacket except that the night time visibility is very weak and the handwarmer pockets on the front are useless for anything including your hands
