Product Review - Tourmaster Centurion 1-Piece Riding Suit

This is the best and wisest money I have ever spent on motorcycle touring clothing. The design and quality is beyond excellent. The fit and finish are of the highest quality and workmanship that I have ever seen. A more than adequate amount of reflective safety materials are strategically placed to provide notification that you are to other drivers from every viewing angle. The body armor is adjustable and removable and secured expertly. There are plenty of zippered vents to provide airflow and ventilation. The quilted removable liner is WARM, WARM, WARM!!!! For Southern California riding, even in the winter, I have taken it out, but to have it available is a god-send. All features of this suit are outstanding and I will recommend it to anyone.

Great product

I ride 365 days a year so I purchased this suit to keep me warm in the cold and dry in the wet. I have a 25 mile commute to work and I average 75-80 mph on the open highway. I ride a 97 CBR9000RR so unless I lay on the tank I am exposed to the cold and wind. I have worn the suit on this commute at 4am in the morning in 20 degrees weather. All I had on under the suit was a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. The suit worked flawlessly. Kept me warm and had no air leaks. I would recommend maybe a sweat shirt and blue jeans though instead of shorts and t-shirt to anyone who gets cold really easily. The suits build quality is also top of the line and is very durable. The suit fits very well and has adjustments at the shoulders, arms, waist, and legs to keep it tight against your body. I am 6'5 260 lbs and I ordered a 3XL. For a tall person I have a small inseam and a longer torso. If you are close to my height and have about a 32 1/2 inseam go with the 3XL. A 2XL would be fine in the legs but would be to tight from the crotch to the shoulders when trying to put the suit on or bending over. This suit also has excellent body armor in the shoulders, elbows, hips, back, and knees. The suit is well worth its price tag if you like to stay warm, dry, and safe while you ride.

Buy It!

This suit delivers in every area it's made for. Comfortable, stylish, warm, and included protection. I have yet to try out the waterproof aspect of it, though. All in all, I couldn't ask for a better riding suit than this.

Fantastic suit

This is, by far, the best one-piece suit that I have ever worn. I had an earlier tour master suit in the late nineties that I also liked but when it was time to get a new one after a get-off I had in early 2002 they stopped making them. I had to get a Frank Thomas suit since I wasn't about to spend $1000 on an Aerostitch. That suit was okay but wasn't as good as the earlier Tour Master I had. This suit has details that rival anything that I've worn so far. I have an athletic build and this suit fits my body perfectly. The zippered neck scarf is a very nice touch as is the rain hood. You will not be disappointed.

Centurion One-Piece Suit

I just finished an 18-day 2500 mile ride wearing the Centurion One-Piece Suit and it worked wonderfully!! I am grateful I didn't have to test it's crashworthiness but I am confident it would have saved my hide. Even in the early mornings in the Smokey Mountains I was warm and later in the day I would unzip the scoops to allow air into the suit, never too cool nor too warm. I would recommend this suit to anyone who rides in wet or cold areas. Great product at a great price.

Assume Suit

This suit makes you want to have inclement weather just so you can use it for what it was designed for. Very high quality construction and loaded with features perfect for the biker who want to be comfortable. There is no such thing as bad weather,,,,just bad gear!

Wow, what a suit.

I am 5'9", 215 lbs. with 47" chest, 42 inch at belly, and 18" neck. I went with the XL. The suit is beautiful and the build is excellent. It might be about 1" too long but very adequate. Torso length and girth just right. My first ride was in a 50 degree thunderstorm, 23 miles of highway. I was warm and toasty and arrived perfectly dry. The suit was shipped quickly and arrived on time as has always been the case with this company.

this is very well made and extra warm. You need to pull the liner if the temp is about 70 degree outside.

Great bad weather suit

Fit and finish was great. It does have some weight to it. But you can ride through a monsoon and stay warm and totally dry.

NEW CENTURION ONE-PIECE SUIT

I recently took delivery of the Centurion suit. Wow, what a feature-packed piece of equipment! Quality appears to be excellent, the fit is good even over clothing or by itself, and it works quite well. At 75 mph on a windy 39 degree day there were no wind leaks and with just the liner and the suit by itself it was comfortably warm. I honestly think I have lowered my personal temperature comfort level to the low to mid twenties. I own gear from Alpinestar, Firstgear and Fieldsheer and for the price of the Centurion this may be my new of-all-time riding suit. Well done.

Exceeded Expectations

Being from Texas, below 60 degrees is cold. My first ride was in 25 degree weather and I was very comfortable. Second ride was around freezing. On the ride, I was more comfortable with the suit itself, and was so warm that I was able to think about normal everyday things and not focus on the weather and staying warm. Only two negatives; suit is very heavy and is tight in the shoulders while standing. Both are resolved when in the riding position on bike.

Tour Master - Centurion One-Piece Suit

I have had the Centurion suite for a month. I have ridden in 40 to 80 degree weather in it. I have ridden through many hours of rain at highway speeds and have not gotten wet. It gives good protection for a reasonable price. I previously had an Aerostich one piece. I like this better and it costs less than 1/2 as much. The only down side would be hot weather use. For the money you save, however, get a mesh jacket and pants for the summer and be comfortable.

Very nice one-piece

I purchased this suit for the ease of a one-piece (throw it on and go) and it has been good. There are only 3 cons that I see with it; a) knee pads did not sit right so I took them out, b) it is heavy (even w/out the removable insulation) and c) the top portion fits me great (a little tight with the insulated zip in) but the bottom is BIG. Overall, it does a good job and was a great price.
