Pirelli-Angel

I bought the Pirelli-Angel as a replacement rear tire for my Buell Ulysses. Most of my riding is touring two up. I've got a couple of hundred miles on it and it appears to handle great. The bike is stable, no swimming. Haven't rode in the rain yet. I'm hoping to get more tread life out of this tire versus the Scorpion that I had.

GREAT TIRE!! No surprises so far. Over 1k in the month since purchase. The "halos" lasted almost 800 miles!! SIGNIFICANT improvement over the Z6 I just went through. QUIET, SMOOTH, CONSISTENT, CONFIDENCE INSPIRING, sticks well on wetness!! actually that was a surprise, warms almost immediately. It is the best money I've spent for a tire for on the zed yet!! ZZR 1200. Most likely to stick with this one.

Angel ST tires

My tires over the last few years have always been Pirelli Stradas. They've performed flawlessly. Thought I should give these new Angels a go. All I can say is these tires are WAY beyond those Stradas I USED to use. My ZX14 feels like it is glued to the road. I've been riding now on these for about a month-it's been in the low 40's here. No sign of slippage. Road irregularities are a non issue. These tires track straight. These tires are the smoothest I've had. In every way-these buns are exceptional. I can't comment on the mileage yet, but Pirelli says they will exceed the Stradas by a good amount. I'm quite aggressive-so it's gonna be FUN finding out!! Love my Angels! Superstore once again has made this shopping experience A1!!! Three days from ordering to my door...just GREAT! Thanks again Superstore for your excellent service and ease of ordering!

Angel ST

Best tire I have tried thus far. 8k miles on an 08 busa and still got probably 4+k left in it. I have less than 1/8" chicken strips and these haven't slid out yet. Highly recommended.

Angels

Much better than the stock tires on my Dorsoduro! The Angels feel very neutral at all times and are extremely smooth feeling. I also notice the bike drops into corners like butter. Very happy with the new tires.

So far, so good

I bought the tires on February and in the last 6 weeks, I drove about 2,000km or about 1,250 miles on the tires. So far I am very happy, excellent grip, on the highway and on the track. The tires are getting warm fast (not much of a problem with winter temps in Israel is around 65-70ºF). The center part of the tire did not show any wear signs despite extensive highway travel. On the track the tires performed superbly. I will keep updating as the miles accumulate.

New Shoes

These are great tires for my Kawasaki Versys. I have driven them in rain, dry conditions, on the interstate and the windy back roads, and of course around town. I have maybe 1000 miles on them they have held traction great never a slip so far no problems the "angel" image just wore off at about 1000 miles. I am pleased with the tires they are great for my use. If you are looking for a Sport Touring tire these should do a great job, will buy them again.

Pirelli Angel ST rear tires.

I've put the first 1000 miles on my first set of Pirelli Angel ST's and in everyway they have been solid. I feel they track better on rain grooves than any tires I've ever used including other Pirelli's and Metzeler's. I'll recommend them to all club members and friends.

Great

Very nice tire as all Pirellis are, right off I noticed better cornering with the bike quicker getting back up. The bike-KTM Super Duke 08 after about 200 miles traction was great a little spin at wide open throttle in first before that. Now they have 2000 miles (63 miles a day) I expect to get at least 10,000 miles which beats the stock Dunlops RR's by 2 1/2 times. Track extremely well crossing concrete joints with lane changes with no wiggle anymore! also uneven road edges are no big deal track as if there on the track.

So far so good

Decided to try these out on my YZF600R just in time for a trip to Deals Gap. I pushed them about as hard as I'd dare riding 2up. 200-300 miles of canyon carving and sweepers on blazing hot days and I never lost confidence in their bite. About 1700 miles and other than the Angel markings scrubbed off these tires still look like new.

Lovely, confidence inspiring tires. Have about 5,000 miles on my first set probably will go to about 6,500. I ride mainly the twisties with saddlebags and ride pretty hard. Have 6th gen VFR. Cost is decent. Loved my Strada's too, which is why I stuck with Pirellis.

awesome

Have a set of these on both my 08 r1 and 08 busa and have 11,000 miles on each set of tires. Love them - they’re not for racing but will handle some fun days with the friends. buy these tires, you won’t be disappointed.

Only set I'll buy from now on...

... for my 2006 Honda VFR800 Interceptor. I have the Givi factory hard cases and a Givi touring windscreen on the bike. It originally had BattleAx's like most of the bikes sold dowwn here in Florida... THEY SUCK and always HAVE SUCKED. I get maybe 6500 miles on them before the front cups and the rear gets a hard centerline which makes the tire brake loose easy under hard downshifts (my guideline for replacing a set of tires). Plenty of tread left on them so it's a damn shame they just don't wear properly. I rode Metzler Z6's a coupple times and the same result with the rear tire...hard centerline rubber. I don't go in straight lines all day long, so that again is disappointing. I consider my VFR an urban assault vehicle and I play in 3 lane trafic all day on my daily commute. I have 12,000 miles on my Angel ST's so far and they look like they can go another few thousand miles. No hardening of the centers of front or rear even this late in the tire's life. My mechanic said he'd be glad to get me a new set and sell these used to someone that needed a cheap set of safe tread! Do I like them better than the Metzler Z6's? HELL YEAH! Wet weather traction is incredible. I can ride 60mph in city roads and no slippage or hydroplaning while riding in inch high water on the road (dodging in and out of traffic that's going 40mph cause they can't drive down here in Florida)! Never did I feel so safe at such speeds on any tires I have ever used. Rear tire does not break loose under braking or hard downshifting in torrential downpours - Awesome! Riding over two inch wide and two inch deep grooves that get cut into the roads, by God knows what, they simply glide over them and never get caught in the grooves! Metal drawbrideges are the same. The tires simply do not get caught up in the grids. No counter-steering needed! Dry cornering is about on par with any touring street tire. It's not made to lean to extremes. All it takes is a bit of loose dirt in the wrong spot to end your day, or life. I respect my bike's capabilities, and my own, too much to lay my bike out because I was stupid. Do a search online and you'll find the original review of these tires. They're touted as the only recommended replacement tire for the new Concours14. They state that they alieviate the heaviness of front end steer and the bike turns in easier. Well, the VFR has a similar geometry (heavy towards the front) and let me tell you that once you try these tires you'll NOTICE the front is easier to manuever. I'll be buying these tires again and again.

awesome tire

got this put on today 5/21/11 took off riding all day long with my soon to be wife on back. I put 200 miles on it and not even a scuff mark yet. Tested out the yellow and white lines along side of the road the little grooves or cracks in the road not even a wiggle from the bike at all. I am really impressed with this tire so far. If anyone is looking for a tire, for the money, I would go for this tire. It is smooth riding, hardly no road noise from it.... Supposed to get some rain next week - I will write about that when it rains to let yall know. I do know the grooves in the tread for the rain are real deep, so dont think it will have any problems in the rain..... love Motorcycle Superstore. I think I found me a place to buy everything for my ninja 650r.
