Freaking amazing

I did all the research, watch all the reviews, and finally decided that the Star was the helmet for me. I bought it fully expecting to be disappointed, but was blown away by how nice this helmet is. start to finish, this is the best all around helmet I have ever owned. this helmet flows so much air, you would think you had the shield up! The magnetic strap keeper is great also, 110 and never came loose. Great helmet, great features, great looks. Spend a the extra money, you won't be disappointed!

Just about the best

Little wind noise, great feel through all different speeds without windshield. Available photocromatic lens (which works really well). So many nice extras and feels great on my head. Many vents, stays cool in hot weather (while moving of course). Quite frankly one of the best helmets I've used. (I had many). Cost is a little high, but so is protection and features. I haven't used the inserts for the Bluetooth, but they are already cut for you, just add your communication/ music if you want. Magnetic strap holder makes adjusting tightness a breeze compared to the snaps that most helmets have to secure the slack in the strap, so you can adjust your helmet easily with one gloved hand. Also comes with a bag that's nicer than gym bags I got at the sports store for $20. Even has a cold weather chin guard to keep the cold out. Does anyone still ride in cold? YEAH! Just thinking about it got me psyched...time to ride.

Great all the way around

I have a somewhat oval head so finding helmets is a challenge. This one fits perfectly. I bought and returned the cheaper Bell Vortex in the same size b/c it didn't fit. It feels very light on my head. The vents work great, especially the ones on the forehead. You can lock the shield air tight which was nice in the sand storm I went through. I bought the smoke shield (the photochromatic one was sold out) which worked out great, even with the sun right in my face.

Solid and sleek

Sporty looks are a plus, but I bought this for the advertised anti-fogging ventilation - this helmet does not fog. I've even tried to fog it but to no avail. SNELL rated, so safety is a comfort. The face shield is easily removed and replaced. The carrying case is a nice plus and has soft lining to keep the finish from scratching. Sizing is spot on.

Great Helmet

I have been wearing Bell helmets for years, for road course, race track work in my sports car and now (again) for my latest motorcycle. It was hard to find a good helmet that did not have a lot of silly graphics on it. The manufacturers should understand we are not all 20 somethings...Fit is good, it is light, handles the air well, and the ventilation works well.

Bell Star Helmet

After replacing the cheek pads, an inexpensive and easy thing to do, the fit is excellent. Its light weight with a comfortable air flow. My peripheral vision is not obscured any more than the goggles I usually wear. The photochromatic shield I purchased with the Star is perfect and gives the helmet a great look during the day and a safe look at night without needing to bring an extra shield.

Bell Star

Had this helmet one year now and must say I am very glad I bought it. Been out of biking for a long time but grew up using Stars because they always fit. After looking around for ages at all the helmets out there, I finally decided to give Bell another try. Well the 7 1/4 size from 25 years ago was exactly right still and the helmet fit my head perfectly. Soo pleased with it I will probably never get another brand. Thanks Bell.

Leading the pack for ??? years

I've ridden and raced with Bell Stars for too many years I guess. I try others and go back to Bell. Why pay up to $1000.00 when you get superior construction and venting for less. If it fits, its the best bargain out there. Spring for the Verishield's, its not cheap but it works great.

Incredible Helmet

This helmet is really great! I love the look and that it has met Snell standards for 2010! Probably the best looking helmet out there. Toss up between this helmet or a Shoei, looks wise. I wanted something with a flip down visor. But in the end I went with Bell. I miss the flip down sun visor, but I'll make do. I give the helmet a definite thumbs up! Check any helmet website - they'll give rave reviews!!

Really good helmet

Going along 2 years with my Star. Some scuffing on the bottom padding and chin straps but overall condition is still good. Vents awesome. When I’m moving I sometimes don’t notice the shield is closed, I still get enough air on my face, forehead, and over the top of my head. Super easy to change shields. I've owned Arai's before, and this vents better, cheaper, easier shield change, and comes with a bag and extra cheek pads.
