barnett clutch plates/ducati st4

The one and only review of this product is bogus. The guy probably put the pressure plate on wrong; just align the dots. My experience was quite good and took a sum total of 35 minutes. I have some 3000 miles on it at this point and all is well. It also quieted things down a great deal. Bottom line - it works well, good price.

Great price, Great brand

I found the installation on my XV1600 very easy. The parts fit flawlessly and I did not have to worry about lining up the notches like the OEM requires. Solid grip on the road and smooth take-off make these a no brainer.

Bought this for my Ducati 749, and it works perfectly, no issues what so ever. Very clear instructions, installed them in no time. Only thing that got me, was the fact that I didn't read the product description as closely as I should have and missed the detail that says the clutch springs are not included for any Ducati models. Other than that, the shipping was faster than estimated and the product works really well. Highly recommend it for Ducati dry clutches at any rate.

Slipping....

The kit does come short 1 steel plate, if you look at and measure the stack of plates, you need to start the assembly with 2 steels (just like the oem assembly) so re-use one of your old steel plates in first...And yes make sure the pin is aligned in the hole of the center drum (if you remove the drum nut) and that the cover plate is on properly "- -" marks on the center drum align with the arrow or whatever mark you have with the pusher plate.

Product is fine, service was lacking...

Bought for a '94 V-Max and it seems to work fine. Not much to say; clutch grab, bike go. That being said, the part didn't even ship until 2 days after it was supposed to have arrived already. All totaled, it arrived about a week late. Furthermore, the description was unclear as to whether or not any springs came with this part. None did. It didn't cause any problems with installation, I just wish it'd been clear at the time so that I could order everything I wanted.

Poor performing item

I was trying not to spent $365 on the Ducati OEM part. Slipping occured within days of install and complete fail within 7 months. Plates do not wear evenly and it never felt right.

Barnett not worth the $$$$$

Engineering department needs to do some more research, clutch started to slip after only 5 miles. Come to find out the plate thickness was 2.5mm too thin. Called the manufacturer, they were of no help and didn't seem concerned in any way shape or form. Poor product, poor customer service.
