Product Information

Michelin Pilot Power 2 CT Front Tire

Being the first dual-compound performance tire with an intermediate compound in the center of the tread for durability, and a softer compound on the shoulders for cornering grip, the Pilot Power 2CT is the tire for demanding sport bike riders who want to push the limit whether on the street or track.
  • Rubber compounds developed through Moto GP racing require minimal warm up time
  • The softest rubber mix in its class for remarkable grip and maintains performance even at advanced stages of wear
  • Unprecedented lean angles 50.6 degrees dry and 41.9 in the wet
  • Rubber mix remains tacky even at low temperatures
  • Grooved area is less than 12% of the tire area for phenomenal cornering adhesion
  • W-rated for speeds up to 168 mph
Sizing Information:
  • 120/70-17 = 58W
  • 120/60ZR-17 = 55W

Great tire!!

Awsome tire. Haven't rode in the rain yet with it so can't comment on that, but otherwise I feel 100% confident with the tire. I won't buy another brand again. The wear life seem good so far but I only put a thousand miles on them , still early to tell but they still look new. The bottom line great tire you won't be disappointed oh yea I ride a 07 R1 if that helps anyone with there decision.

Installed this on the front of my Busa and went straight to the Dragons Tail. Riding in a group I was not pushing it hard but was extremely pleased with it. We got caught in a couple of storms and the tire stuck well in the rain. I had installed the same tire on the rear last year and even with a years wear I can pull the front wheel in the rain and not lose traction. Very satisfied.

I ride Northern California's twistiest roads weekly and this tire grips and handle great. You can spend more on Michelin's newer Pilot 3, but you would be throwing money away. You are NOT sacrificing anything for a lower price point. The Pilot Power 2 also has a good life span, this is my 3rd time around with both Front and Rear. This tire is very forgiving in response and you can feel very confident in it holding at an aggressive lean angle. I'm a very happy camper!

Great grip doesn't last

I have a 05 RT that I just cruise around on and after 6000 miles it's junk, won't buy again.

Excellent tire! Have used these on 3 bikes now and always have liked them. Good grip even accidently going over unseen debris in corners!

Great tire

Great tires. I have a matched set (front and rear) on my R6. This is my second set and I'd have a hard time changing to something else. Tread wear is a little short but the stability and traction in deep turns is well worth it.

Michelin 2CT

Good center-line life, reasonably stiff sidewall and a very predictable slip profile. When they start to give you get a noticeable amount of "apprehensive slip" – run it across fresh yellow lines at ¾ lean if you’re unfamiliar with that sensation. Very good tire for heavy street / light track use. Always match your front/rear as a pair. Mismatched tires lead to a bike with the rubber side up!

Impressed

Put this tire on the front of my 07 gsxr-600 to replace the worn Pirelli. Impressive difference. Very smooth, really sticky, overall great. I will change the rear tire to match soon. Haven't had any wet riding yet and only a few hundred miles have been put on the tire.

So far so good. The VFR seems to like it.

So my 07 VFR needed new tires. On the recommendation of the main VFR forum sites, I went with the PP 2CT on the front PR2 on the rear. After 750 miles, both are going strong. Very little sign of wear with 80% commuting. Corners like a dream. No hint of slippage. So heres what your going to do... Youre going to order this tire. Its that simple. ok... Go do it.... I'll wait.

Good tire so far

No problems so far and I ride hard. Put about 500 miles on in two weeks, high speed knee drags, wet road action, and no slips.
