Product Information

Michelin Pilot Power 2 CT Rear Tire

Being the first dual-compound performance tire with an intermediate compound in the center of the tread for durability, and a softer compound on the shoulders for cornering grip, the Pilot Power 2CT is the tire for demanding sport bike riders who want to push the limit whether on the street or track.
  • Rubber compounds developed through Moto GP racing require minimal warm up time
  • The softest rubber mix in its class for remarkable grip and maintains performance even at advanced stages of wear
  • Unprecedented lean angles 50.6 degrees dry and 41.9 in the wet
  • Rubber mix remains tacky even at low temperatures
  • Grooved area is less than 12% of the tire area for phenomenal cornering adhesion
  • W-rated for speeds up to 168 mph

Great tire

I've been using continental motion rear on my sv650s and this is by far the best overall tire I've had never switch back. The ability to swerve side to side with amazing ease. Well worth $150

First time I brought this tire 6 years ago for my ZX6R never looked back been through like a dozen it seems, the sticky grip gives you the feeling you are very stable at low lean angels. Have tried the Power pilots 3's but the regular 2c PP gripped the corners better in my opinion. The in between tire changes seem quicker but hey you make up for that with sheer leaning thrill 50.1 dry now that's awesome for any tire. Every time they try to sell me a new tire at the shop I just smile and say to myself, never, they seem to get the hint as if they already know the PP 2c's are the best tire on the market. Go Michelen!

Good choice....

Great tire cold or hot never had any slippage and I tend to hit the throttle pretty hard on my 07 R1. I can't say how long they last this is my first time buying them but even if its only one season or a few thousand miles can't beat having confidence in laying into the throttle in first gear and the rear tire isn't going to kick out which happened to me with a Pirelli. So yeah, I love the tires. Also thanks motorcycle superstore for a great deal.

Super sticky tire.

Sticks amazing, for those wanting to fly around corners. But if you just commute and ride easy there's other tires that will last longer.

Sticky but not impressed....

I bought these tires and put them on my Buell XB12S. They are sticky and inspired confidence in the corners. However I only got 1,800 miles out of them. I do a lot of riding on country roads that are mostly chip sealed, so you may have better luck with tread life. However I will be returning to Pirelli for this next set. Fast shipping as always from Motorcycle Super Store!!!

This is the second time I selected this tire. It's everything as advertised. Gives you confidence and decent miles. Cant beat it on the street.

Best all around tire

I have no complaints with this tire. I have been using 2CT for over 40k miles. Amazing in cold, rain, and obviously hot. I've taken off hard on cold tire and never got a spun out.

2009 R6s with Michelin CT2, 2nd rear tire

I've liked how these gripped the road, I've had ok life out of the tire and in the rain they did fine, I have yet to see how they handle colder weather, now that its getting closer to october

Awesome Tires

I have an 08 GSXR 750 and I was a bit worried with getting new tires, especially with the Canadian climate and how much its changing from hot to cold weather. These tires are awesome at high speeds, hard cornering and rough roads. I love the grip these tires have, even in the heavy rain I had to squeeze my breaks due to a car pulling out in front of me and they gripped really nice. I would recomend these tires to anyone on a sport bike.

Second set

Though I am no Marc Marquez these tires give me confidence in the corners- they really grip. I only rode in the rain twice, hard rains to be exact, but no issues either time. I got 5400 miles out of the first, which I am okay with since I was after a sticky tire to start. I like the price of these tires for the performance they provide. I will continue to buy them until they are no longer available.
