    Superb but snug!

Love the helmet, great quality and value and I really like the 3/4 option. I have a 7 1/4 head and bought a large. Its very snug with the full face down and I find it a bit claustrophobic compared to my other full face. Overall, very satisfied.

    MASSIVE DESIGN FLAW :(

First, let me say, I own and LOVE an EXO-500. It is the best helmet I have ever owned, by far - I am a massive Scorpion fan because of this and truly wanted to love this helmet. However... Scorpion seems to be a bit hit-and-miss on their helmet range, and this one is a definite miss, sadly. The plus points: the flip up is lovely; the look is cool; the feel of the visor as you lift it up is amazing; the well-known sun glasses and pump fit are sublime, but this helmet has one serious design flaw - the chin strap seems to have an exposed area on the left-hand side just where it meets your jaw bone. This causes serious discomfort after just a couple of minutes and makes it unusable for a ride. You can find owners complaining about this on internet forums. Aside from this I loved this helmet so if Scorpion can fix the chin strap issue then this helmet would be back on my wish list. Until they do, however, I feel it only right to warn others.

    Scorpion EXO 900

This is the second EXO 900 I have owned. Very comfortable, even with the SENA intercom system installed. I really like the pilot style sun shield. The only problem I have with it was the first helmet broke the release latch for the chin protector and I couldn't get a replacement part.

Really nice helmet with good venting options. Able to hear sound system much better than with a half helmet because of less wind noise. Happy!

I have 3 other helmets but this one is all I need. Air flow through it is low but does work .

    ehhhh

I will start with the bad. The flip up face latch lasted exactly a year, rendering it just a full-face helmet now. The inflatable bladder lasted about 1 month. On long, long rides I will get hot spots. I like that it can be three helmets in one. The flip down built in tinted visor is really nice to have. It has really good air flow with all the vents open. I would not buy this helmet again.

This helmet is a year old and I am looking for a replacement. I have XL helmets about the same size. I normally wear a 2XL. This helmet is also very noisy.

    Good Bucket

This is the first helmet I have purchased for more than $100. In comparison to others I have had, it's quite comfortable. It's pretty light, and for a flip top is pretty quiet as well. I have to agree with the other comments about whistling, but there are ear plugs for that. However, earplugs don't counteract the bone conductivity noise that is transferred from the helmet to your inner ear through mechanical means, and this helmet is much better (quieter) in that regard.

    Poor fit. Nice features.

I purchased this for snowmobiling. This helmet is very uncomfortable. There is minimal padding inside (its mostly Styrofoam). The helmet is cheap and is beginning to fall apart after only 2 seasons. There are 2 nice things about this helmet. It doesn't leak. The vents are easily operated with gloves on. I recommend you buy a different helmet.

    Not Quite The Best

I chose this over the comparable Shoei due to a lower price, shortly after I wished I had gone with the Shoei. This helmet is okay, but gives me a lot of wind noise. A real whistle that won't go away. Fit and finish are good The chin release button broke, Scorpion sent me a new button right away. I don't recommend this product.

Really Pretty, Really Tight, and REALLY Bad Whistle

I'll start with the cons: SUPER tight fit. Doesn't break in all that well. I've gotta wear a 3X in most helmets, and this 3X is too tight. SUPER loud whistling sound at speeds 30mph and higher. It's really aggravating, and kills my ability to really think at all. The Pros: Some cool features like the shade visor. The main visor never fogs up, and that's great for riding here in the Pacific NW. I'm not satisfied with this purchase. I'll probably try and send this back.

    Great helmet!

This is a great helmet! I needed to replace my old modular and was looking for something that would work well in Washington's wet/cold weather but still be comfortable in the summer. This is the helmet! The fit is mostly good, but I did have some pressure point issues at the jawline. The padding is beginning to give and overall I'm really pleased with the fit. Everything else about this helmet is top notch!

2nd one and still loving it.

Love the modular design. Fairly quiet when riding (around 70mph). Fits snug when you first get it but breaks in well. Had a small problem with the visor when I first got it but the customer support is quick and responsive. This is my second EXO-900 and I will buy another when this one wears out.

    Heads-up!

No pun intended, but this helmet is heavy. Really heavy. If you do short, casual rides no problem. But...if you are stressing your neck under 'crotch-rocket' forces or just enjoy long cruises I would keep on looking. Too bad because all the features are useful and easy to use even though I found the inflatable liner had little value and the noise factor on the high side for my liking. In summary, this helmet will be a good value for some, and a disappointment for others.
