This is the Brand to use

When I bought my 2009 CRF 450R used the guy gave me this oil, but I had never heard of the brand. Once I used it up I went to the Honda oil but then switched back because my mechanic that has been riding since he was a 3year old said this is about the best you can get. I switched back. Less wear and tear!

Awesome Oil

Replaced the Mobil 1 synthetic oil in my '02 FZ1 with Motul 5100, and the difference was immediately apparent. The engine was quieter and running cooler. While I was never exactly disappointed with the performance of Mobil 1, the Motul 5100 blows it away. The Mobil 1 burned up and lost volume quickly, requiring me to top off the oil once every week (300-400 miles) or so, as my oil warning light would come on. After nearly 2000 miles with the Motul 5100, there has been no apparent loss of volume, and the color and viscosity of the oil is virtually identical to what it was when new. Considering that the Motul 5100 is $40 a gallon, and the Mobil 1 costs $64 for the same amount of oil, I'm sold!

Best I've used

I use Motul 5100 in my Triumph Street Triple R and it works great. My bike was using a little oil when I first got it but since switching to the Motul the problem was solved.

Smooth / Good Motul Oil

Runs great in my 2006 636. Motul has always been good oil and I will continue to run it in this bike and any bike in the future.

Great Oil

Using this in a 07 Yamaha. It quieted down the engine noise and shifting has greatly improved! I go 5,000 miles between oil changes now to. Just a very good product all around!

Another home run.

I have used this oil in my 05 CBR600RR, 01 CBR F4i and my babes 07 Ninja 250. Quiets all tapping, smooth the shifting, very high quality. I now use the Motul full synthetic in my 05. Motul in my experience is the best, affordable oils and lubes out there. From their chain cleaner to anti-freeze I use only Motul on my rockets. Thanks MCSS for carrying MOTUL.

Feels like clutch slippage

Riding 07 R1. Noticed harder/difficulty shifting after 1000 miles. Thought it might have been the extreme heat this summer in Texas so I changed oil again with the Motul 5100. Now I'm noticing a lot of clutch slippage when I throttle up quickly.

5100 Motul

I found out about this product at the last Motogp I went to in Laguna Seca 2010. I have about 32000 on the bike (2006 ZX-14) I will never go back or use any thing else since I put the new oil in the bike, it shifts smoother, lifters don't make any noise and better gas mileage. Just get and use it you won't be sorry you did.

Works Great!

I started using this oil instead of Yamalube 20-50 in my 07 R1. The reviews I had researched on it were all positive. My experience was no different. It quieted the engine down, and made a huge difference in shifting gears. Great Product!

5100 oil in '06 Yamaha FZ1

I've run this stuff for the past 4000km of my bikes' 8700km life. shifting is smooth, easy to find neutral, bike performs very well in all temperatures. Pricy as hell but would recommend to anyone who cares for their engine!

Ester is the way to go

I had used other full synthetic, petroleum based oils for years in sprint and endurance racing. I switched to this oil when I began track instructing and actually noticed an immediate improvement with smoothness of the gearbox. I also saw less debris and deposits during oil changes. The polarity and burn off advantages of the ester formulation were clearly evident even in a Semi-Synthetic. If I ever go back to racing, I might move to the full Synthetic, otherwise this does the trick and more.

No difference

I normally use Mobile 1 synthetic 4T racing oil in my Speed Triple. I thought I would spend a little more and find out if this worked any differently. The oil seemed to break down faster than the Mobile 1 and started shifting harder at 2,500 miles. I changed it and went back to Mobile 1.

Motul 5100

Granted I recently bought my bike from a friend who said he recently changed the oil. So I decided to change it around the 2000 mile mark and let me tell you this stuff if great. I was running Repsol Semi-syn, and this stuff triumphs over it. The esters are what sold me but the smooth shifting and lowered temps keep me smiling. Do yourself a favor and buy this now.
