    Fixed the Wind Noise

I found that the helmet was a little loud, replaced the cheek pads with one size thicker and the wind noise is gone. Great helmet for the money.

    I like this Helmet

This CL-MAX is my fourth helmet and second HJC. First one was the cl-12 which I still wear mostly when it’s colder out. This The CL-MAX is pretty light and comfortable and i think gets great air flow with all vents open.

    Like it a lot!!!

I bought this helmet about 9 months ago. At first, it was a bit tight around the face area, but now it fits great. The visor is very simple to operate. Looks great too!!!

I got my money’s worth. This helmet is quiet and fits like a glove. I wish it had come with speaker recesses for the 2 way. Great buy! I have spent hundreds of dollars with MCSS and have had first class service with first class products. THANKS MCSS!

    First Helmet

This helmet is my wife's first helmet, and she wanted something that was full-face and easy to slip on. I suggested one of these hybrid helmets and she liked the design. Being her first helmet she has nothing to compare it to, but she says she has become very comfortable with it, and it fits her head very well. She really likes the feature of lifting the entire chin portion of her helmet vs. just the visor. Overall, she's very happy with it.

    HJC CL-MAX

I purchased this helmet at the same time as a CL-31. Compared to the CL-31(open face 3/4 helmet) of the same size, this one is way too tight. I had to pull the lower part of the helmet apart to get it on my head. Once there it's not completely uncomfortable, but doesn't fit well. It's too loose in the crown and too tight everywhere else. It's so tight in the lower forehead area it actually forces me to squint. The strap is next to impossible to fasten, and when you can it sits in a very uncomfortable position. With all these faults, the worst was the visor mechanism. It's EXTREMELY stiff-the visor will deform before the ratchets will give when trying to open it. So much so that the second time I tried to open it the mechanism broke and pieces went flying everywhere. If you insist on purchasing this helmet, I recommend getting the next size up, and not operating the visor at all.

    CL-Max Helmet

I am very happy with this helmet. I had it on for a 150 mile ride recently. It fit perfectly and was comfortable for the entire ride. I like the hinged chin guard. The color and finish was just what I wanted. I liked it so much that I bought another one for my friend.

    HJC CL-Max Helmet

For the price, cannot do better. Fits to size correctly. Well made. Lift up controls work well and easily. Two downsides: 1. hard to wear glasses and either put the helmet on with them on or to put them on once the helmet is on, 2. visor could lift up a little further for convenience. Air flow is average. All in all, highly recommend.

    Good value but noisy

There is a lot to like about this helmet. I really like the one handed opening feature and the quick release shield. Venting is reasonably good. Sizing is very snug, I went up a size and it's better but still breaking in after two months. My wife ordered two sizes up and seems happier. For me the deal breaker is the noise. Even with earplugs it wears you down. I wouldn't buy this helmet again.

    HJC Helmet

I was a little hesitant about ordering a helmet on line. The HJC has a great reputation and after reading some of the reviews I thought I should try it. The first few fits were snug, but now it fits quite comfortably. I thought the windshield was stiff to open, but after a few uses it to operates very nicely and stays up when riding--if I'm wearing other eye protection. This was a good purchase.

    Cheap(price) Flip Face

I got a CL-Max and was surprised by the quality in this 134.00 helmet. Nice finish, and the small is a snug comfortable fit on a 5'-2” Chinese head.

    Very Nice

I've had my HJC helmet for just over a month and I really enjoy it. I love the flip up chin and how comfortable it fits my head. And surprisingly, I think the vents actually do create air flow within the helmet to help keep me cool. I was a little unsure if they would actually work but I believe they do.

    HJC - CL- Max Helmet

Good Budget option, but the shell does not feel durable. Good for the short term to determine whether you want a modular style helmet, but for the long term, I'd want a sturdier shell.
