Great boots so far

Ordered my exact size, boots were a bit tight for the first few days but stretched nicely and now conform to my feet very well. I have them for about 2 weeks, they are indeed waterproof, have been in heavy rain in them a few times already. I like the Teknic quality - ridden in their leathers for past 16 years and they're still holding up very nicely. Zipper is smooth, stays in place, Velcro seems sturdy and also stays in place very well. Good boots, well worth the money. A bit warm on hot days (90+ F) but bearable.

TECKNIK DEFENDER WATERPROOF BOOTS

ONLY HAD THEM FOR A MONTH SO HAVE NOT WORN THEM VERY MUCH. I DID WEAR THEM TO WORK AND STAYED IN THEM FOR AN ENTIRE DAY, (I'M A PHARMACIST) AND THEY PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS. I HAD A VERY HEAVY PR OF HARLEY BOOTS AND I COULD NOT WEAR THEM OFF THE BIKE FOR ANY TIME AT ALL. I GOT LUCKY AND NAILED THE SIZE. NOT THE EASIEST TO GET IN AND OUT OF, BUT THAT WILL GET BETTER WITH TIME I'M SURE. READ ABOUT THEM IN ONE OF MY CYCLE MAGAZINES AND IT GAVE A VERY GOOD REPORT. I'M IMPRESSED.

BONE DRY

Bought these in preparation for a 6 day trip. The fit was good and true to size. A little stiff like any leather boot. On the way home ran into 4 different rain storms two of which were extremely heavy. Not one leak. The more I wear them the better they feel. Rode in 100+ temps and did not notice my feet hot but that may have been because EVERY thing else on me was burning up. I will be buying these again.

Great Boots

I love these boots. I believe that a review should only come after some true use. I have had these boots for 6-7 years and 50k miles and they are great. I have never had wet feet and I ride year around in Oregon. No matter what the weather is these boots have never let me down. They are so comfortable that I wear them year round. If you are looking for a high quality, waterproof boot then I would recommend these.

Teknic - Defender waterproof boots

I love these boots!!! They’re light weight and flexible , I have been in a couple of rains and happy to say NO WET FEET !!! They are a little on the warm side but not unbearable. The only thing I think they could have done is a little more work on the design of the boot or the "LOOK" but maybe I'm being picky. So far I'm very happy with the boots! I rode over 20 hrs this past weekend and walked around at a bike rally for three days in them and no complaints here!

So far so good

I bought these boots for a 1300 mile four day ride and I am very happy with them. They are comfortable, though I was surprised I needed a size 47. I went through ordering two pair before I got there. Order big! They were a little breathable, though mesh would have been nicer than waterproof for most of my ride in Northern Calif in July. The quality seems good, the price was good and I expect to get years of good service from them.

Second Pair

My second pair as my first pair just wore out from use. These ones look much more durable. The fit was ok once I broke them in abit. Strangly I have not been able to test their waterproofness YET.

Very Happy

A big step up from the Joe Rocket Meteors that I'm replacing. The fit is a bit tight, so you may want to consider going up a 1/2 size, but otherwise no complaints. Have only put about 500 km on these so far, so durability is still unknown.

Very Well Pleased

Boots were a little stiff for the first week, but, after wearing them, they softened up and are comfortable to wear. Ankle armor rubbed a bit, but, this too eased up after wearing for a while. Shoe size matched perfect. X-cellant boot for the price. A tad warm in the hot weather, but, bearable. Fit under pant leg nicely.

For the price you cant go wrong

I bought these for a 3k trip coming up, so I got them a couple weeks early to break in. Ive ridden in heat, rain and cool nights so far and I cant say anything bad about them. Fit is a little snug for the size so I would go one size higher than you think but Ive worn them all day in the office and on 4 hour rides. Great boots for the price.

Boots

This is my first pair of motorcycle boots, so I really don’t know what to expect from a pair and if its me or the boots, but they feel like I’m walking with a piece of plywood strapped to my foot. Not really uncomfortable but not real comfortable either. Just not what I thought they would be. There is a different kind I want to try when these wear out, I think I might like those a little better. The "TURNPIKE" boots. Just have to wait and see. Thanks!!

Nice fit, comfortable boot

Have only worn the boots once so far but the fit was spot on and they were very comfortable for the duration of the 4-hour ride. Like the easy on and off the zipper provides. They were a bit on the warm side and may be better suited for cool/cold weather. Good boot for the price.

WP boots

these boot are a good buy. though the design is plain. they fit very well and are comfortable for riding. the design of the Velcro on the side could be improved but overall pleased with the product.

Defender Boots

Motorcycle Superstore was excellent. Delivery was very quick. The Defender Boots, looked good right out of the box. Ordered 1/2 size large due to other reviews and the boots fit slightly loose. I put some gel inserts in and they felt very comfortable. Took a short ride to work and found the velcro flaps on the left boot would not stay attached. I have forward controls on my bike and it interfered with my foot movement. Also they were so stiff that it was very hard to upshift. I returned the boots due to the problem with the velcro.

Bad boot

I received these boots on May 29th by June 13th I had already worn through the top layer of the boot where it hits the shift lever. They are clearly not leather on the outside, just some type of thin synthetic. My last pair of boots, simple leather hiking boots, have over 10,000 miles on them, the leather is discolored but not worn through under the shift lever.
