Product Description
No Fear TGO The Great Outdoors DVD Boxset
The Great Outdoors 1:
"An in depth documentary of the 2002 AMA nationals shot on 16mm film" Running time 40 min.
The Great Outdoors 2:
Don't miss this follow up to theoriginal "Great Outdoors" release featuring an in depth look at the 2003 AMA Outdoor Motocross Nationals. Running time 90 min.
The Great Outdoors 3:
Another Perfect Season:From Eric Johnson, Editor for Racer X Magazine, produced by Jeff Surwall and directed and shot by Troy Adamitis, TGO marks the trilogy point of The Great Outdoors series. First off, and before we get rolling with this thumbnail review, whether you liked the Dukes of Hazzard voice over man from The Great Outdoors II or not, he's gone.
Having said that, TGO gets a big thumbs-up. Adamitis just keeps getting better and better with the cameras. The footage shot in TGO is, far and away, the best natural-terrain motocross footage I've ever seen. Whether in super-slow motion or real time, the action we saw this morning was just mind-blowing.
Then there's the storyline. Rather than go with the "talking heads/race to race" approach, the producers of TGO pulled riders aside throughout the summer of 2004 and had them tell there tale good or bad. Hearing each rider candidly talk about the good, the bad and the ugly of their current place in the sport makes for compelling viewing.
TGO will provide you with an opportunity to take a step back in time and watch the best riders in the world fight for all their worth. The film makes motocross look like the toughest, meanest, most physically draining sport in the world. Nominated for Best Editing & Best Cinematography at the 2005 X-Dance Film Festival.
