READ INSTRUCTIONS and go SLOW
If you can grind the heads off the old chain's pins first, then this is all the tool you need. This press may have the guts to do unground pins, but why fight all that hardened steel if you don't have to? You can probably break the big, mega buck press if you don't read instructions and check your early alignment, but that's not the press' fault is it?

Worked well for my 530 chain
I used it to break my OEM 530 o-ring chain and then set the pins on the new one. Worked fine. I didn't grind off the pins like the instructions said and it worked without a problem...of course, I would recommend that anyone else follow the instructions.

Push pin broke
A generally good tool but you must grind any chain first. I broke my press pin on my first try at a 520. Back to grind/hammer and punch. The riveter worked well.

Rivet Push Pin - FRAGILE
I used this tool twice on 520 chains. On the second 520 chain the rivet push pin (extractor) broke at the shoulder. If you buy the tool, buy a spare rivet extractor pin and make sure that you file/grind the rivet flush to the chain side plate for all chain sizes. I did file the rivet head, but not flush to the chain side plate - next time I will. Note: The Motion Pro directions state "When breaking drive chains LARGER than #520, grind off the rivet head first to create a flat surface for placement of the extractor pin tip."

2 out of 3 ain't bad
This tool works nicely as a breaker and riveter. However as a press it is difficult to use and requires a great deal of fiddling. The problem is that the holes on the press anvil are so small that the tiniest misalignment with the link posts would cause it to rivet instead of press the posts through the link plate. To make matters worse, the anvil is a loose fit on the tool and drops off while you are fussing with it. Then, when you twist the handle, it moves the holes out of position. This required wedging a shim between the tool and the anvil to keep the parts aligned. Once the posts are proud of the link plate it works fine; but getting to that point is a pita. I drilled the holes out a bit to give me more wiggle room. It's not a good design.
