John Wey Idaho Falls,  ID The best lens (and goggles)! I have had my Scott goggles for about 9 years now and needed to replace the lens (they were scratched up pretty badly). My old lens were the amber colored ones and were probably too bright in the sun (I go ATV'ing in Utah and Idaho). I got a pair of the auto-darkening lens and they are perfect with my Scott 80 over-the-eyeglasses goggles. Well worth the money, the auto-darkening is just right and things are a lot clearer!

doolittle Leesburg,  VA chrome (aka black chrome) best choice for direct sunlight The chrome (black chrome) tint is the darkest tint you can get w/o color distortion from the blue & green chrome lenses. This is the preferred lens in both my 80 and 87 series. Be careful in cleaning these lenses, they are scratch prone so it is best to use a light duty optical cleaner and optical / eyeglass cloth (microfiber or handkerchief) - in fact this was a replacement for one I had purchased earlier this year since I used a shirt-tail that had a tag on the inside of the lens, was not a good choice on my part. Not only did it scratch it damaged the tinting so it had swirls of light spots around the scratches. When cared for properly it has high clarity. It is a bit pricey, but worth it for use in direct sunlight.
