Put an aftermarket full exhaust on my Gixxer 1000 and one of the header pipes was almost touching my under-fairing consequently it had started to melt and bulge outward. I bought this heat shield, stuck it on in that spot and the melting had 100% stopped. Product works great and stays securely in place.
Working great so far

After I cut to fit on the inside of the heat sheald I was able to go on a long ride. After I stopped and checked how well it was working I was pleased to find that it was working well. Would be more than willing to buy this again. (Have a quite a bit left at this point though)

I used this product to protect the back of my right rear blinker from the exhaust on my KTM 500 EXC. It was easy to cut with scissors and apply. It's been on for two rides now with no sign of peeling and my blinker has not melted. So far, so good. It works.
Good product but my application was wrong for it

I installed this product, reflective side pointing down towards my motor. I installed it under my seat. I was hoping it would reflect heat coming through my seat back down to the engine. Unfortunately, it did a great job of trapping heat underneath me which raised the heat of my seat. It was a good try, but the product wasn't good for this application. I can't fault the product though as it may not be designed for my application.

I used this to line the belly pan on Hotbodies bodywork, the outer most layer melted thru but went no further. The material did what I needed it to and this was very close to touching the exhaust. 1000cc Twin.

It's doing a good job keeping my hard bag from getting hot from my new yoshi pipe. Suzuki Bandit 1250s. Worth the money.

My wife rides a 2008 Yamaha VStar 650 Classic and the heat from the exhaust pipes were still a little too hot even with the stock shields (she's short). We added the flexible heat shield material and eliminated more than 50% of the remaining heat from the pipes. Saw this fix in a consumer review and found it to be an excellent solution to further eliminated heat from exhaust pipes.

I got what I expected, it sticks good, conforms good and keeps the heat off the rear fender of my Brute Force 650 so my wife will quit crabbin' at me how hot the fender is.

I put this on the inside of the heat shield of my wife's 04 VTX. After a test ride, I found the exhaust heat melted the glue and the shield was peeling off. Crappy product, don't waste your money.
