I purchased this wrap for my V&H quiet baffles. While i knew the wrap would be too thick, the picture led me to believe that you could peel or split a layer off. This was not the case, the way it was manufactured , there was no way to peel it. For me it was a waste of time and money
o.k. but . . . .

I will go with a better packing next time. This stuff is o.k. but I would go with a heavier packing for my 450 can next time. Thought this would be a cost effective alternative but it leaves the exhaust sounding the same as my wasted packing. I doubt it will last more then 30 or 40 hours at most. Good packing will go 100 easy. Worth it to spend a little more and get a heavier packing. Also it was a little shy of what I needed for a single can.
Should have read Mike's review (BRP rider with Big Gun)

Not nearly enough to pack my Big Gun on my XR650R. I'm sure it would have worked great if there had been enough. Complete waste of money for me.

This muffler packing was easy to cut and fit when repacking. It was worth paying a little extra than the loose packing.

I picked two of these up to repack my Jardine RT1 muffler. The second I cracked open my muffler, I could tell this packing was not going to cut it. About 5 pounds of dense, rough, raw fiberglass came out of my muffler. Two small sheets of this Moose Racing muffler packing would barely layer up to fill a 1/4 of my pipe. I liked the price, but compare to the direct replacement from Jardine for less than $30 that comes with rivets, I would have needed about 6 of these to fully pack my muffler.
The design does not seem ideal for mellowing out your exhaust. The blankets are mostly smooth to the touch, very thing (compress to less than 1/2 inch), and no substance to them. Not sure if you were suppose to pull it apart to install, but I just threw it back in the box with my other returns.

This stuff is really nice and comes in a sheet you can cut to size, gave my bike a new deep sound like when the pipe was new. I bought two packs to get a nice tight fit and it works great. Will buy again when needed.

Easy to install and it works great. To all the BRP riders with a Big Gun can (or similar sized can). If you are looking to repack your exhaust with this product, get two. One will work, but it won’t be a snug fit.
