Moose heat wrap tape
I have seen the tape used on Harley exhaust, but I used it on a Yamaha ATV exhaust. I used the tape to replace a rattling heat shield and as a result there was no more rattling and the amount of radiant heat is a lot less than normal. Be sure to wear gloves because the ceramic fibers will make you itch just like fiberglass.
