Renthal 520 R1 Works Non O-Ring Chain

A premium high strength 520 chain with excellent impact load resistance, designed specifically to withstand the stress found in off road applications. This chain is the choice where a combination of high strength, light weight and maximum power transfer are important considerations.


Features:
  • Shot-peened alloy steel side plates for high tensile strength and maximum impact load resistance
  • Chamfered inner links to reduce the chance of chain derailment
  • Extended bushings to reduce friction between outer and inner link plates, maximising power output
  • Chromised bearing pins for excellent resistance to wear
  • Gold colour side plates help prevent corrosion
  • Most perfectly matched chain for Renthal chainwheels allowing maximum power at the rear wheel.This also extends the life of both the chain and chainwheels

This is a good chain, but it wore down my inner sprockets!!! (front & back) With only about 10 hrs. of ride time. If you own a KX, stick with a DID chain!! (which is STANDARD for KX's) All 520 chains ARE NOT the same!!

Bought this chain to finish off a restoration on a 191 RM250. Chain arrived quickly and was packed in protective grease. Chain looks awesome and works great. Only a few rides on it but no stretching or problems. Fits perfect and looks to be holding up well!

Ordered the r1 chain cause I’m now racing and wanted something lighter than my stock o-ring chain. A lot lighter, looks good, and the cost isn’t bad. I do have to adjust the chain about every two races. Which they say you should only have to once.
