Sweet Pants!
These pants are great. Fit is accurate (the 36 fits my fat gut just like a 36 should), well made and good materials. Love the vent zips that allow the nether regions to be kept cool/warm as required. Definitely recommended!

Klim Chinook Pants
I'm well pleased with these pants. Intended as motocross pants, I've used them for dual sport rides and for sport touring. They fit well, they're comfortable, and the 20" zippers allow them to flow a lot of air (so long as you're under way). Close inspection shows them to be extremely well sewn, and the materials seem to be of high quality. Time will tell, but I expect they'll last a long time, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends. Oh, yeah. I appreciate the lack of childish overdone graphics that seem to be so prevalent these days!

Great pants for dualsporting....
The Chinooks have all the features I need for dualsporting. They are roomy enough for pads underneath, excellent construction details like the adjustment tabs, look great, appear that they'll last a long time, have great cooling vents. I'd highly recommend them to someone needing one pair of pants to handle conditions ranging from moderately cool to moderately hot.

chinook pants
Great pants! Very well constructed, much better than my Thor pants (which got a hole in the seat after riding in rain!). Adjustable waist is nice and seat/legs are roomy. Another great Klim product!

Very Impressed - Great Quality
This pants rock. I've worked in the technical apparel industry... and I have to say I was very impressed with the high quality of fabrics used and overall design of the pants. The controlled venting is good, pants are comfortable... and true to size. I highly recommend these pants, and it's worth the extra money - to get the better product.

klim-chinook pants
Got the Chinook pants and they seem pretty well put together. Material is heavy duty for sure. I put them on inside and within a few minutes I started getting a little hot. They come with zippered vents on the front of the pants which should provide plenty of air circulation when open and moving. I see these pants holding up very well under trying conditions. My only concern would be using them in summer conditions where temps were above 70 degrees or in very humid areas. If you were on a slow moving tech trail the heat would definitely mount up. For summer riding in 80 + conditions I also purchased the baja pant which is spot on as far as durability and venting. If I had to choose one or the other it would be difficult as texas riding conditions vary. However, if summer is close go baja for sure. If you live in a more forgiving environment as far as heat goes you can’t go wrong with the chinook it’s very durable in my opinion and I have seen and used my fare share of gear. If you are torn between the two just get both! I did!!

Great Pants
I've read so many rave reviews about Klim products on the message boards that I had to give them a try. I've never understood why the boot pants don't come with a pocket, but when these came out I was happy to give them a try. They ARE as good as everyone said. They fit perfectly, look great, and the very long zippers allowed me to adjust the cooling as the day warmed up and then grew cold again. The only complaint I have is that the mesh lining material gets caught in the vent zippers very easily. The lining material got snagged and torn when I tried them on the house and then again while I was riding. I thought the price was steep for the pants but the quality, fit, and features are superb and well worth it.

Klim - Chinook Pants - Highly recommend!!!
These were purchased to replace a pair of Thor Core riding pants and that is what I am basing my comparison on. The Klim pants are SUPERIOR hands down! They are lighter than, as comfortable as a pair of sweat pants, have excellent venting and waist adjustability. The pockets also come in handy as well. My first ride in these pants was in an enduro race, in Florida 90 degree heat, and the vents kept me nice and cool.
