When I was considering a helmet I didn't consider any other product but Arai since I didn't have any budget limitations and the strong reputation of the company for producing a quality product. I wear a size small and while researching the helmet, Arai has many options to customize the fit of the helmet. The stock model fit me just right but, it was nice to know that if need be, I could purchase different cheek pads and helmet liners of different thicknesses to taylor the fit to my head shape. Consequently after purchasing the helmet I did look into other brands and it seemed to me that Arai really does try to focus on providing the best fit possible rather than focus on the features of its helmets and speaking of features, the diffusers work very well. My head has never been too hot and the air flow helps to keep your head cool for long ride comfort. I purchased the Black Frost color and the finish on the helmet was flawless. Many of the parts on the helmet are serviceable by the end user and are replaceable which I feel is a good value. So in conclusion if you are in the market for a new helmet and you can swing the price buy the Arai VX-Pro III you won’t be disappointed.
