When Oakley designs goggles, protection is at the forefront. The most stringent impact testing is called ANSI Z87.1. The High Velocity test uses a stainless steel ball traveling at 172 mph. The High Mass test uses a 500-gram conical tipped missile dropped from a height of 50 inches. Drop Ball is a test that targets the lens with a 1-inch steel ball from a height of 50 inches, and the Penetration test uses a 44-gram #25 needle dropped from 50 inches

The graphics are sweet. My only complaint is they seem to fog up a little but that could be the helmet goggle combination I have. Just got them so I don't know how well they will hold up.
