I can't really add to what the others that have rated these boots at 5 stars have already said. I do not consider them to be lightweight though.

First time for me buy a Gaerne Boot. I've know the name to be one of the best if not the best. I ride a lot and my gear last a long time, so the price should pay itself off. I wear a size 10 and wish I got a 9-1/2 if even possible. I don't think I'll buy such and expensive boot or shoe again without trying it on first.
Wow!

These are amazing. Super light and comfortable, yet give you protection almost as good as motocross. Rode them in 80 degree weather today all day, didn't even feel them on!

Very comfortable out of the box, not much break-in, and great buckles. The buckles are super easy to fasten and release, and hold firm. Nicest ones I've seen. I can't really think about much bad to say about these boots, I guess maybe they should come with a lugged sole for off-road, stock sole is ok for pavement, but loses grip on a hillside in dirt. Otherwise, really pleased with these boots.

I bought these boots because I'm recovering from a major knee injury, and I'm not stoked how standard riding boots disperse energy directly into the knee (which is how the injury occurred in the first place). I wear these with a shorter shin guard, and they work wonderfully. They're extremely comfortable, and true to size. The buckles are solid and nicely adjustable. Pretty light, too!

A little pricey, but they are just what I wanted... a boot that I could use for outstanding protection on-road and much-better-than-my-redwings protection while in the dirty stuff. A perfect boot for my V-Strom on and off pavement.

Great boot. Was looking for a dual sport boot for the past couple of years. I have the Sidi Discovery and they are a great boot but they are just too much for street riding. I ride mostly on the street and an occasional off rode ride and these boots fit the bill. Very comfortable, well made and are one of the best boots I have purchased. Right up there with Daytona. Sizing is correct.
They don't make them better than this!

What can I say? These are simply the nicest pair of boots I've ever owned, or could hope to own. As usual, Gaerne redefines quality with these boots. For shorties, they give a great deal of protection and support. Worn with knee/shin guards, you are ready for anything with these- from trail riding to single track. The fit is, simply put, perfect. I would order your regular shoe size. I wear a 10 to 10 1/2, got my boots in a 10 and they fit like a glove. They look awesome too. Go ahead and spend a little more money and have a pair of boots that you can truly count on and that will last for years to come. Happy trails!
